I like Robert Downey Jr, so I enjoyed the movie. It dragged in places, but I think that that was because of the choices of direction. I thought that it was visually interesting, nineteenth century London was well-done, and Law and Downey had a good chemistry. Worth seeing, though I would only pay the matinee price.

I haven't read it either.
The previews of the movie reminded me of What Dreams May Come. I saw the movie and read the book on that one, and I enjoyed both though the book was much darker (by Richard Matheson, who also wrote I Am Legend). |
