I'm grateful for my chapter. Couple guys figured it out when I rushed, but when I came out during a bon fire, everyone opened me with open arms.

Seriously, at this point, are there any NIC, NPC, or NPHC fraternities that *wouldn't* run into issues with their National if the chapter president was quoted by the school newspaper as saying "we wouldn't pledge Robin Smith, because they are gay/lesbian"?

No, if only because of publicity. But that doesn't mean that every chapter would accept openly gay men.

I would hope none of them would a say a thing, as membership selection is left up to the individual chapters.
