LOLOLOLOL. Yes, the double-spaced, misspelled posts in the Lambda Chi forum are pretty much a dead giveaway. So sad.

I guess I found out that there are other places around here too. One of my co-workers votes at a church. |
If you're considering voting Obama, yes, it's over. You've won. No need to vote. Just stay home on Tuesday and watch your guy win!
(and just so I don't commit felonies in several states, let me just add to that that I'm completely kidding) I can't really get too excited about this election. My Presidential vote doesn't really matter one way or another as my state is going to be handily won (and will be for the foreseeable future) by the Republicans. I've been fairly active (as much as I can be) in promoting my favorites for semi-obscure state offices, and yes, I want to see some changes there. For those familiar with Oklahoma, I'm in favor of Dana Murphy and Charles Gray for the Corporation Commission [a quasi judicial/legislative/executive board of 3 individuals which oversee all of the state's public utilities and freight carriers]. I think the current officeholders (excluding Anthony) are both bought and paid for shills of a certain natural gas provider and another certain telecommunications company. There may be one person on this board who has an inkling of what I'm talking about... and she'll probably disagree with me vehemently :) |
I voted a week ago via absentee....I honestly don't understand the huge lines in Florida. All you have to do to vote absentee is to call and request a ballot.
Of course I got mocked several times by the elections official from being a Republican teacher....He compared me to KKK....Lets just say I had a nice chat with his supervisor... |

OMG, that is so uncalled for! How stupid. IDKW, but that reminds me of the British guy who told me 9/11 was just Americans getting what they deserved. I just had a HUGE flashback. |

Mom and I are going at 8 tomorrow. If the line is crazy at 8 *O I really hope not* I'm leaving and will take a super early lunch around 10:30 and go vote (I work around the corner from where I live and about 5 blocks from where I'm voting). I hope I can just vote at 8 and be out...but I'm not sure that will be possible.

I've only voted (since I've been able to vote) in libraries or community centers. I think the majority of our early voting polls are located in libraries, although the new city hall is now a poll station. I'm sure there are churches, schools, and fire houses too, I just don't personally know of any. I do recall seeing one at a school when I was much younger though.
