No, it's not a serious distinction at all but it still shows that there was a fraternity for gay black men already in existence before "Alpha Iota Alpha."

So I guess you should change the name. Since you're not the first anything anymore. Tri Omega? But feel free to be outrageous in orange and wild in white all you want.

I'm just wondering what's the point?

I mean, if you want to start a gay Black greek org, what is the point of it all? All sororities and fraternities have a valid point for existence and for the aid of society as a whole. What would be the point of having a gay black greek fratoritity? There are some things in this world that just don't mix.

Actually, not all fraternities or sororities were necessarily founded for the aid of society as a whole.

There's a valid reason for the existence of LGBT GLOs -- I didn't used to think so, but now I do.
