You are correct! Way to go, Berlee.

Yes, Alpha Chapter was chartered on April 16, 1909 & Psi Alpha founded April 30, 1909. I guess a trip to the Pacific Northwest in 1909 waranted starting 2 while you're there!

The correct answer is A but because of their dedication to Chi Omega they are also C & D

Welcome to the board, luvtoscrap. Great answer! (Easy question, huh?!)

luvtoscrap 05-31-2005 01:23 PM

Thank you for the warm welcome NutBrnHair. I truely love your knowlege of Chi Omega history. Where do you obtain some of your information? Is some of the information on the early history from the book History of Chi Omega Vol I?

That book is an excellent resourse, but I do not have it in my home library. Some of the questions come from Portraits of Sisterhood, old copies of The Eleusis, my old Pledge Manual & some from the top of my head!

Back to the game...

Which U.S. state has never had more than one Chi Omega collegiate chapter?

a.) South Dakota
b.) Wyoming
c.) Washington
d.) Oregon

oncelurked 06-01-2005 05:06 PM

I'd like to guess B. There's one chapter listed for each state, but I've got a feeling that another chapter once existed in South Dakota. Oregon and Washington have two each (Uof Oregon, Oregon State, WSU, and UDub)

NutBrnHair 06-02-2005 08:14 PM

Yes, yes, yes! (To my knowledge, there is only one four-year college in the state of Wyoming -- no chance of expansion in that state anytime soon!)

Who was the U.S. President when Mary Love Collins began her 42-year term as National President (S.H.) of Chi Omega?

a.) William Howard Taft
b.) Woodrow Wilson
c.) FDR
d.) Harry Truman

RedHot 06-12-2005 07:54 PM

totally guessing 'cause all I can find is her scholarship info....

A!

luvtoscrap 06-13-2005 12:23 AM

Mary Love Collins became S.H. in 1910 and the current President was William Howard Taft. Therefore, I am going to agree that A is the correct response.

Best of luck Sisters
