I have been lurking on this site for about a year and now that my daughter has pledged I felt like I should make a post. Being from out of state and reading some of the posts had me a bit nervous about recruitment at BAMA. I do have to say though it worked out great with my daughter having a favorite from ice waters on and was so excited when they asked her to be a sister. If you have not guessed from my screen name she pledged Delta Zeta.
Also I want to thank everyone for all the information you have shared on this site it truly was a big help! |

It used to be rumored that out of state girls had a tougher time joining than in state girsl; however, there were more out of state girls going through rush than those who live in Alabama. Out of state has been acceptable for some years now. |

I'm always surprised whenever I see a gal from Hawaii on a 'Bama bid list.
There was one last year (can't remember where she pledged) who came from a HS in my neighborhood. The gal who went ADPi this year went to my alma mater's sister school. Congrats to her and to ADPi! She'll have a bunch of alum sisters to get a hold of when she comes home! |

Or possibly average chapter size, whichever is greater. |
Alpha Phi's ELCs have created a blog where they have a calendar of recruitment events.
http://alphaphialabama.blogspot.com/ It also must be said, in case people don't know or haven't looked @ the APhi Bama website, but all the PNMs that are looking to join Alpha Phi will need recs. |
That blog is very Lily Pulitzer esque. :D
|
Where does it say on the site that they will need recs? Why is that? I think that's a little crazy.
