Me too. Blake has his own sound, style and is very adept at arranging the music. I think he'd have felt so constrained by the 19E contract. Whereas Jordin, being so young, can use the guidance and stuff, you know?

I am almost positive Blake purposely threw the competition Tues night because he didn't want to get stuck with the contract. At least that's my theory, but I didn't think he sounded as good as he normally did or picked the best song choices. What do y'all want to bet that Jordin is now going to record the songs that Kelly Clarkson refused to record when Clive Davis tried to scrap her album this month and get her to record different stuff.

Did anyone else see Guarini in the audience? It's nice to know he's still alive.

I only switched back and forth briefly b/c I was watching lost, but right as AI was going to commercial once, I saw Greenday. Please tell me they did not perform on AI?!? What is the world coming to...:(

I know exactly what you mean. At first I said, "Yeah!" cuz I love Green Day, but then I thought, "Nooooooooo! Green Day, how could you sell out like that?!" Green Day is supposed to be anti-establishment, and it doesn't get much more "established" that American Idol!

They were promoting the Darfur tribute album that is coming out.

I finally got around to watching it on my DVR today, and what I was thinking was, "Why on Earth would Joe Perry agree to perform with SANJAYA????"

Yup, I agree....I am a fan of Daughtry's and I was rooting for Gina the whole season..... hopefully someday they'll get it "right!"

It was kind of a snoozer of a season, although I did like Blake, and was glad he was in the finals. I can't wait to see his album! :cool:
