But back to this week.... I really liked Alma the Sun reporter for some reason.

The first episode was kinda slow. That would be ok if they werent shorting us two episodes.

All in all, a good show. I never expect the first episode to be 'explosive' because that is not the nature of the Wire. Remember....all of the pieces matter! I can see so many places the various stories go, I can't wait for the journey.

That being said, Senusret you were right Dukie is huge! He cracked me up taking about what, he was going to be the nanny now and bake cookies. I hope he goes back to school, but I think that is too much to hope for.

I hope we get to hear about/see the other boys. I don't think they made it clear if Randy was dead or just hurt in that last episode. I hope Simon and company don't leave us hanging with that one! I would also like to see how Naymond is doing with the Major and his wife.

I think the newroom stories are going to be interesting. I will definately have to watch last night show again because I felt like I missed a lot of the dialouge in those meetings that I guess happen at 3 o'clock. Good to see what's his face from Homicide though

One thing that bothered me: when Chris came up to ask Rhonda/Daniels for directions in the court house. No one knew who the other was? Rhonda is getting warrents and all of that jazz and she has no idea who the heck Chris Partlow is? Daniels doesn't recognize him? Why would Chris even do that? Why not send someone else to do that especially since you know that you are being tailed everywhere? Oh well, I guess he really did not care, but I thought that was interesting.

Remember when Randy was in that group home and some of the boys wrote "snitch bitch" on his bunk? When he came back to the room and saw that these boys started closing in on him...he hit one of them and then about 4 - 5 jumped on him. The last you saw of him/that they were stomping on him.

Oh, I remember that -- I just misread what you said. I was thinking Randy was mentioned ambiguously in the last episode we saw.

But we're on the same page now. I assume he was hurt, but alive.
