So there is no confusion, no one is basing your (collectively speaking) commitment to joining your organization of choice by how often you post here. We're just saying if you're going to call yourself a sisterFRIEND, stop in every once in a while and join a conversation. :) It's not like you're going to get any membership-related information, because we don't talk about that here. Most, if not all, of us talk to our FRIENDS regularly. That's all we're saying.

So I've been to the alumnae chapter website here and I believe that it's a new one because they don't have much on it yet, but a greeting from the president of the chapter. What would you guys suggest for me as far as getting to know the ladies here. I know a good way is to attend events, but on their calendar they don't have any listed. I don't work with any members of the sorority and I'm new in the area so I don't know any on a personal level either.

I just get so busy with work and school...I use the internet so much at work, by the time I get home I don't want to touch a computer!! But it's summer now!

Hmmmm......well, I used to disappear for months at a time while I was at school. My internet in my room never worked (:rolleyes:) and I wasn't about to come on here on a library or lab computer where the whole world could see what site I was on. I didn't want to risk someone from my school also being a member on here (and a few students from my school are) and realizing I was CG. Even though I'm perfectly happy being Me Phi Me at this point in my life, I don't flaunt that I frequent a greek forum, especially back when I first joined--college girls stay talking about people and I don't like my name being in people's mouths. :cool:

Now that I have the net in my room, I post as much as I please, but it wasn't too long ago that y'all would only see me in summers and winters. ;)

Hi again. It has been a minute since I posted...mainly because this is all new to me. My friend posts all the time on her baby web sites and I got caught up in in reading stuff on that forum. It seemed like so much fun so I decided to try one that was of interest to me. The problem for me is time. I really don't like to post at work, so by the time I get home from a hard day's work.....well, you know the rest. Trust me, I really enjoy the sisterly spirit in this forum even from just reading the posts. But I do plan on becoming more actively engaged in the discussions.
