Got it. Ebay is lovely. Is this the right one? I hope it is because I already paid for it.

Another random thought. After I was done playing GT5,:D I got caught up in a really interesting documentary about the Andromeda galaxy. They were saying that it's about 2 million light years away from us. One of the things they were talking about was how it would look if we could travel there right now. They also talked about its collision with the Milky Way. That was scary. Some people had different opinions of what they think would happen. I know this is your thing, so what do you think? I'm starting to find this kind of thing interesting, because normally, I wouldn't have watched it. You're rubbing off on me.

ETA: this is good. Now, they're talking about another planet floating around another sun. They said it's 400 light years away. Do you know which one that is?

Yay! Yep, that's the right one. I mean, mine came with an add on, but it's still the same game. Now, sometimes during the week, we can play online. You're gonna get your butt kicked, Mr. :p Oh, and my mom wanted to ship my alienware back yesterday since I'm coming back tomorrow. I was like, uh uhh, no way, not even! When I get back, in my apartment, then she can ship it. I wanna make sure I'm there when it gets to my place. I would freak if something happened to it.

Aw man, I hate I missed that one.:( Sounds really good. Well, I wouldn't use the word "now". I mean, "now" really has no real meaing when it comes to observing the universe. It's just that we can only know what something was like at the time the light we pick up set off from it. Andromeda is 2.5 million light years away, so it's impossible to know what it was like more recently than 2.5 million years ago, ya know what I mean? Like, let's say that we could see it as it is right now, I think it would look the same. It's just that the difference of 2.5 million years is only like 1/5,000th the lifespan of Andromeda, and galaxies barely change on such time scales. Like, the Sun only travels about 2% of the way round the Milky Way in this time. So, Andromeda would look the same, except that a few hundred thousand stars that we can see in telescopes would have died, while a similar number would have been born.

Plus, there's not real proof that we're going to collide with it. I mean, there's a good chance, because we are moving toward each other at a high rate of speed, but it's still possible that we also could miss it. I have a lot of theories of what I think could happen. I just think it's going to be a gravitational train wreck. I don't think there are going to be any collisions of stars, and planets, but I do think stars and planets are going to move all over the place. If a star swung too close to us, its gravity could be strong enough to pull us away from the Sun, making it possible for Earth and other planets to get flung out of the solar system, leaving us homeless in the dark. That would be bad. Or like, if a hungry black hole comes too close to us, it will dine on the entire planet. But Earth's geologic record never mentions any early close encounters with a black hole, though. Honestly, I'd say we have more pressing issues of survival before us. It's just that a collision with Andromeda is about 7 billion years from now, and about two billion years before that happens, the Sun itself will swell up and die of natural causes, engulfing the inner planets including Earth. So, I think we'll be toast anyway, long before Andromeda collides with us. The Sun has about 5 billion years worth of energy left before it dies. Oh, and speaking of astronomy, guess what I watched a couple of days ago?...again.:p

Great movie, but I still think it was a hoax.

2011 CES is this week

CES 2011 begins this week.

It will more than likely be a big showcase of new tablets and Android smartphones.

Also there is a rumor that Windows 8 may be revealed as well as Verizon may reveal their LTE network with a working iPhone to demonstrate.

For all of you gadget freaks, what are you looking for out of this show?
