I know, right? KSU had a record quota this year too (40s.) When I first joined (2004), the numbers were in the teens/low 20s.

From what I remember, OWU's quota the past few years has been around 10-12. I know Cincinnati also had strong numbers too. Will need to check with CWRU to see how they are doing.

Article on winter recruitment at Dartmouth, including number of bids given out by each chapter.

Students often choose to rush during the winter due to D-plan and
athletic conflicts, according to Sandmeyer. Others opt to rush again in
the winter if they are unsatisfied with the houses that offers them bids in
the fall, Sandmeyer said.

So was winter recruitment informal? It's not clear whether the big rush is fall or winter. And what was quota? What is total, and is everyone at total now? And do I have this right that there are 3 locals and 5 nationals? And if a girl declines a bid in the fall, can she really re-rush in the winter? And then may I gripe a little about poor writing and worse editing?

Kappa at UC Santa Cruz is holding informal recruitment right now with Bid Day on Saturday. Formal recruitment was pretty small in the fall (between both Panhel groups), but it sounds like they've got a decent turn out this week. Gooooo Kappa!

^^^Wow. That's got to be the 4th or 5th school in Ohio with record (or at least higher than normal) numbers.
