Dear Leona,

That was AWESOME. I should've bought that a long time ago! Keep up the good work and, if you can do a concert this side of the pond, don't make it too expensive.

Dear Hair,

Thank you sooooo much for cooperating with me! You look beautiful (not that you didn't before, I'm just sayin'...;))

Dear Employment Jesus,

I am so disheartened right now. I am no longer a case manager due to budget cuts. Now I'm an on-call youth care worker. If the supervisor is feeling generous, I might get two days of work a week to chase kids all over the place and have them cuss me out.

I have flooded the city with my resume but have not gotten a single call. I've gone to Manpower and Kelly but have not gotten calls for work. I'm hitting the bookstores today to put in applications since I'm such a book fanatic and figure that I could at least make some money from my love of reading and knowledge. I'm even gonna see if I can get in at the post office for some holiday work. I'm pretty much willing to try anything (legal) to make some money because Hubby can't carry the load by himself.

Sometimes I wonder why did I go to college if things were going to be this hard? All my life I've been told that a college education was the path to success. I don't feel really successful right now. We are barely making ends meet. Rent, daycare, and gas/food are our biggest expenses right now. We are cutting off our basic cable and internet and our cellies are next. Please talk to Daycare Voucher Jesus too, because if we don't get that, The Baby and I will be spending lots of time together at home. Even though I am feeling really sad right now, I know that You care for us and that You are providing for us. I just wanted to get this off of my chest. Amen.

(((9dstpm))) I know how you feel. Sometime I wonder what the purpose is, when you do everything that you are supposed to do and it still doesn't seem to come together.

T.I.

You're cd got me through my gym workout feeling AMP'd up! You have the HOTTEST album this year by far! That's a good look!

Sore but still AMP'd,

KAPPAtivating

Dear Shawty Lo,

Just man up, and tell T.I. you were just playing when you tried to diss him on wax. Not a good look!

Dear Mrs. soulfoodrestaurantlady,

I'm glad I went with the soul food urge today and stopped in your restaurant (is it a restaurant if there is no sit-down dining?) at lunch because that gave us to chance to talk. I agree, it is a big political season.

I didn't know that you had not voted since 1960 (Kennedy) but felt like you wanted to do so now. Because I had registration forms in my car (cause that's how I roll) I was glad to hook you up and drop your form at the Board of Elections on my way back to work. (See, there was a reason bigger than my craving for ribs for my stopping in.)

No, you didn't have to give me the free piece of pound cake. I enjoy helping people be a part of this process. But a brotha does appreciate it nonetheless. The cake was straight up bombastic. :D

I'll be back soon, because nobody can touch your dressing, but in the meantime, get your vote on. :)

nikki1920 10-02-2008 07:47 PM

Dear TonyB06:
Each one, reach one. He had the registration forms IN HIS CAR, ya'll!!! THAT is why I have a soft spot for Alpha Men. It's a very SMALL spot, mind you, but it's there nonetheless. :p

Dear CT4:
if you did get your Stella on, when can we expect to read about it?

Spinderella 10-08-2008 02:15 PM

John McCain,

You really need to take your grouchy, Metamucil drinking, Aricept taking, too short to sit in a chair, "I can get Bin Laden", behind home.

There is very little about you or that moose eating biddy that is presidential. Retain what little dignity you have and go back to Arizona. While you're there, enjoy a 6 pack like the rest of your base.

jitterbug13 10-08-2008 02:18 PM

LMAO!!!! You sound like my mother and me. I am quick to call him a grumpy old man and Mom calls Palin a moose all of the time. :D :D

Spinderella 10-08-2008 09:06 PM

Mrs. Michelle Obama,

Your hair is flawless.

I am so glad that I have moved away from excessive chemical treatments and can honestly say to my awesome beautician, "I want Michelle Obama hair" with a straight face and she not laugh behind my head.

I never though I would see the day that another politician could out grouch Cheney. Mr. Go-F-Yourself-Or-I'll-Shoot-You was a hot mess. If I was McCain, I guess I'd be angry too; his arms are short, his wife is dumb, he probably can't sleep good (nightmares and all), he party doesn't like him, his running mate is more charismatic and top it all off, he's old.

RedefinedDiva 10-09-2008 09:24 PM

God,

I have been patient and calm... up to today. I pray that you give me peace and allow me to face whatever the results may be on tomorrow. I've said all along that this test could NEVER be bigger than You and that remains true today. While I pray that I pass, in the event that I don't, I pray that you give me the strength to deal with it. I studied hard and prayed harder, but the anxiety is still setting in.

Lord, I also pray for all of my friends that will be receiving their results as well. We studied hard and put forth our best efforts and I hope it pays off. Our class was always underestimated and I am sure that we will prove everyone wrong! They are a great bunch of people and I wish nothing but success for ALL of them.

Please stay with me through the night, Lord, and fight this battle for me. I know that you have NOT given me a spirit of fear and it is only the devil working to fill me with anxiety. He can go to work somewhere else! YOU have the glory and victory shall be mine tomorrow!

dstdiva83 10-10-2008 03:47 PM

Dear Mom,
I Want to thank you for everything you have done for me. Even though you gave me up a birth, i didnt fault you and still dont. I'm glad that as i got older you came back into my life and was there for me through all the hard times, thick and thin and everything in between. I'm so glad you are the best friend i could ever have and will ever know... I love you mom...

txdiva 10-10-2008 06:59 PM

Dear dstdiva83,

(((((hug)))))
That was touching. :)

Dear "Mini-Me",
I don't know what to say about you. You have so much potential, but I wish you would let your teachers see that. You have six weeks to turn it around. Playtime is over...THIS IS NOT A GAME!!! GET IT TOGETHER!!!

Love,
txdiva

Dear Meet The Press,

I almost expect politicians to dodge answering tough questions when they come on the program. But you? are yall running for something? If you won't be more direct with opinions/suppositions (you are on the campaign trail and have this "alleged" insight -- at least that what your house ads suggest), then why are you even on the show?

Yesterday was basically a waste of an hour (well actually a waste of about 28minutes since I DVR'd it and ran thorugh the commercials.)

do better or yall are getting dropped from the viewing schedule.
