First year teacher. In my department alone I have an Alpha Phi & an AXO.

On my new RA staff there's me (obviously), an Alpha Phi, an Alpha Omega Epsilon and at least one girl in Gamma Sigma Sigma. I'm in an all-girls dorm and many of them are Greek in some way or another.

ETA: And an Alpha Phi Omega, too!

My student was asking me for recs, she mentioned that a few other teachers were Chi Omegas, but that they weren't involved and didn't know anything about recs. She also led me to another UMass Sigma Kappa who was a long term sub. This fall I found out one of the teachers in the performing and visual arts dept is a Sigma Kappa from UMD who was in my stepsister's pledge class!

Among my fellow professors in my department:

2 Delta Delta Deltas
Pi Beta Phi (wrote my daughter's rec :))
Alpha Kappa Alpha
Kappa Alpha Psi

Another Gamma Phi Beta, a Kappa Delta, and an Alpha Chi Omega in my department retired last year.

I work for an after school program, and right before halloween last year we had a special guest from a local environmental group come teach the kids about plants and do a cool activity with them. I rarely wear my sorority insignia at work because I have to wear a staff t-shirt (so no letters at work :( ), but that day I had chosen to wear this track jacket I have with my letters and our crest on it. As I was bringing the kids in, our special guest came up to me and said "I saw your jacket, I'm an Alpha Xi too!" I got so excited, we did the handshake and she told me she was from U of Southern Maine, and we swapped stories for a little bit :) I've only ever met one other sister out and about so it was awesome to meet another!

bumping

Just found out today that a teacher at my school is an Alpha Gamma Delta.

I almost forgot this story:

I am a p/t adjunct teacher at one of the community colleges here in Dallas. Last semester, I was talking with the head of the department and mentioned that I had been busy as an adviser for a colony at another university. She asked what fraternity. When I told her "Sigma Chi", she smiled and started singing "Oh, who am I, sir? I'm a Sigma Chi. Sigma Chi, sir, and will be 'til I die."

I was surprised and asked her how she knew one of our songs. It turns out that she is a Chi Omega (from Purdue) and her brother is a Sigma Chi.

I used that story to show my colony members that you never know where you'll make a connection, either through Sigma Chi or Greek Life in general.

My office has an AXO from Michigan, an ATO from University of Texas-Arlington, an ADPi from North Texas, an AKA from Hampton, and myself. There's Greeks all over the division too.

That's my chapter! :)

I don't have any Greeks in my office, as most of my colleagues are foreign--there was a summer student who was a DG at Maryland--but I was at a training the other day, and the trainer used "Susie Sorority" as an example of an employee name. I spoke to her after class, and she is an ADPi.

Ironically, although we have a fairly active Greek system at the school I work at, people tend to not talk about their affiliations. It's very hard to find people who will admit to being Greek--which makes finding people to write recs very difficult!

Besides me, the woman in the office next to mine is a KKG, the woman in the office next to her is a DG, and two women that work for her are an ADPi and an AEPhi. People here tend to think of sorority as something they did in college and it isn't generally talked about.

I represent with an AOII button, a KISS panda keychain (panda with Gene Simmons makeup) and a panda card on my bulletin board, though!

I was stoked to find out that one of the Lieutenants from the law enforcement agency I work with is a Sigma Kappa. It's always cool to see sorority alumnae in the fire and law enforcement fields.

I used to work at Bath & Body Works and we had 2 Alpha Gamma Deltas (which was right when squirrels were on all the fall things), a Zeta Tau Alpha and I believe a Delta Zeta besides myself.

Now its me and we had an Alpha Kappa Alpha, and an AXiD (sort of, she dropped but I dont know if it was before or after initiation.)
