i love Alexis! Is she the one with the long hair? ya i'm hoping it's all false, how can either of them jeopardize the lives of their kids and families. I guess we just don't know the full story of their personal/public lives

My sisters are 10 and watch Jon and Kate and since the families in their area of PA know they are local celebs, I'd be willing to bet a LOT of those local children watch this show religiously. It is a family oriented show. Kids all over probably watch it.

Oh I don't doubt the kids their age are watching the show, i'm talking about whether the kids would know about the scandals surrounding Jon & Kate. Isn't that what you were referring to?

Hannah is the one with the long hair. Alexis is the one that loves alligators (or as she says it aldergaders)...she has the "medium length" hair.

LOL, now that you've clarified, you are right. Younger children are less likely to know about the scandal as it is mainly on entertainment shows and online.

However, I am also addressing the fact that they may be some how trying to "work" the scandal into the show. That would be crossing, spitting on, and dancing all over the line. If they want to get a divorce/go to counseling/whatever, fine, but not on camera. Not if it will hurt the kids or force them to relieve their parents painful mistakes and publically deal with such a private issue in any way. Once it's on TV you can't take it back. I hope they don't forget the "+8" part when it comes to dealing with their lives.

oh yes that is true! Bringing it to the show would just open up a painful can of worms that Jon, Kate or the +8 would never forget.

I think Kate and Jon's eyesight is getting faulty and they think the 8 is a $.

You nailed it on the head....

They are more concerned about the money they are making them the well-being of their children!

I liked the old Jon and Kate where they were somewhat normal people.....

If they get divorced, I can totally see Kate dissing them all.....that girl just strikes me as celebrity crazed!

SWTXBelle 05-14-2009 10:10 PM

Saw Kate on the covers of magazines in Kroger's - the People cover looked like a "Glamourshot".

What is this look supposed to be: Pennsylvania Housewife Barbie? Really:rolleyes:

Read the caption and have a laugh!

Bump for the season premiere.

I appreciate how honest (or dishonest, depending on what lens you're looking at this through) they're being about the drama.

It's weird that they're interviewing separately.

SWTXBelle seems like they're alluding to a possible "Jon minus nine" situation, although I doubt that'll be on tv. :(

SWTXBelle 05-25-2009 09:38 PM

So sad for the kids . . . no matter how it turns out.

I say that's the reaction they were going for. People will appreciate the honesty and be driven by the soap opera antics of an "uncertain future." It's as predictable as watching The Hills.

I believe this is all a publicity stunt. People were getting a little bored with the "+8" and wanted to focus more on Jon and Kate, since their marriage arrangement always seemed strange.

DrPhil 05-25-2009 09:50 PM

The gray haired bodyguard is a cutie.

agzg 05-25-2009 10:15 PM

I would have watched the season premiere regardless because I like the show but I can see what you're saying.

I feel bad for the kids, that's for sure. My heart almost broke when Hannah said to Jon "I don't want you to leave again daddy."

OhSoVeryLadylike 05-25-2009 10:23 PM

Maybe I turned away too quickly...but did anyone else notice that they didn't do the usual "Next Time on Jon and Kate Plus 8" at the end of the show?

Jon seems sorta resigned to it being over, Kate seems very tired and sad. Like she sorta feels like she may have brought this upon herself. But at the same time she doesn't want to seem as if she's just miserable and pining away after Jon.

Sad situation all the way around
