I just checked, and I couldn't be bothered to look through all my HTML codes to look. So I just got rid of it all, and will add it in later.

I'm so lazy somtimes it kills me.

MySpace Tool to Help Block Sex Offenders

NEW YORK - MySpace, the popular online hangout that has drawn complaints about sexual predators and other dangers to teens, said Tuesday it will develop technologies to help block convicted sex offenders.
MySpace is partnering with Sentinel Tech Holding Corp. to build a database containing names, physical descriptions and other identifiable details on sex offenders in the United States. The News Corp. site, however, stopped short of adopting Sentinel's technology for verifying the ages and identities of its users.

Rest of story here.

That sounds like a great thing. I'm not exactly sure what the Sentinel Tech is all about and how it works by identifying ages and such while you can type in false info.

I personally feel the best way is that if a person applies for internet, the internet company has to screen and do a background check. And if found that person is a sex offender, his/her IP will be automatically restricted and not allowed on certain websites. Of course that won't help if the person uses their friend's computer...

Or maybe implant a chip into their body and whenever they are near a computer it automatically shuts down? Ummm...I'm thinking too much...

I hope it works, but after all, the myspace user has to protect themselves by locking it to friends only and carefully adding people.

That's all fine and dandy but what happens when it's a false statutory rape case? A guy I was friends with from 2nd grade to graduation got accused of stat rape by his girlfriends parents because they didn't like him. Now he's a sex offender. Should he be banned because he was an 18 yr old boy having sex with his freshman (or soph?) girlfriend and his parents wanted revenge? There would have to be a detailed description of what would be cause for banning. If there were, I'd be totally for it.

Is Myspace being crazy with a server issue or did someone hack into my account and make it all crazy? :(

I'm hoping it's the first one because it's nuts and I can't log in right now!

Logged in to check, with no problems. Doesn't mean somone hacked your account though. It often has intermittent problems.

No bulletin from Tom or anyone? I tried using the Lost Password thing, but it says it doesn't have my email address in the directory... and sometimes my profile will show up but it's all crazy (0 yrs old, last time logged in 1/0/000, lots of things missing), and sometimes it doesn't show up at all (I get the cancelled membership/deleted profile message)

I'm currently logged in and so far no bulletin from Tom.

He's usually late to the party when it comes to that stuff, though.

Sorry, that stinks. I'm actually logging onto Facebook a bit more these days because MySpace has been so quirky (to put it kindly). My page isn't all that complicated either, so I can't imagine how it's been for people with graphics, etc.

Apparently this MySpace thing is serious business. I just moved a friend out of my Top 12 because I haven't hung out with her in a while. I replaced her with another friend that I've been doing lunch with everyday. I didn't think it was a big deal. She did. And now she's not on speaking terms with me. Are we 13 years old again???

Do you all get upset if a friend moves you out of their Top friends? I never found it to be issue if a friend moved me out but other people have told me that I committed a huge sin or something. I'm kinda new to MySpace so I don't know what is considered a MySpace faux pas.
