JB I hate we didn't get to meet either but atleast we got a chance to talk via phone a few times...so much was going on....I am worn out but I really enjoyed myself to the fullest...until I had to come home and go to work...

jitterbug13 08-02-2008 08:28 PM

My mother and I haven't completely unpacked either. :p

For those who know my government name and are my Facebook friends, my convention pictures are up! The first two pictures are with me and Divine Diva. :D And please don't laugh at the description of the first picture.

Velocity, I feel you. I got to go back to work tomorrow. Got to get back on the grind.

MightyQuinn 08-02-2008 08:36 PM

It's sounds like a good time was had by all, now where the pics? LOL

ShawNuff 08-02-2008 08:39 PM

Mine are all Facebooked (and a few on another greek site) - I'm not sure how to post them here as uploads. . . I'll work on it though!

I'm sure the sentiment was beautiful and the crowd was like "awwwww." :)

1st Convention

I parked my car at the Atlanta park and ride Friday morning, took the shuttle to the terminal, and began the overwhelming experience of sisterly love. Of course I was wearing my Dynamic Southern Region red shirt, so it was obvious I was a Delta. However, my "neoness was in check"...LOL. The first soror that saw me smiled widely and said, "good morning Soror"! From then on, it was nothing like I experienced before.

Unfortunately, I left on the last flight out Monday night with two days of convention remaining. Really missed some great sessions. Anyway, I echo everyone's comments. I had an awesome time with my sorors. I did not attend any parties around the city. I seemed to be always tied up with something at the convention center, hanging with my LS, or trying to get some rest for the next morning.

You all can call me a whimp if you like, as my entire trip was an emotional time. I had a headache from holding back tears...but it was well worth it.

Velocity_14 08-03-2008 04:39 PM

Some of my pics are on fb as well...I will put some on here real soon. The few pics I did put up took forever so I just gave up and went to sleep...lol...I had a ball though...but as stated earlier I was always tied up doing something if I wasn't sleep---the little I did manage to work in. The workshops I attended were the bomb...one in particular got a bit heated...but it was very informative;):cool:.

For those who were at the step show..did you all hear the comment made after the guy proposed about the girl making it too easy for him to propose.....lol....I was like ...I couldn't believe she said that..lol.

jitterbug13 08-03-2008 07:14 PM

Who said that? The host? If she did, I missed it or don't remember it.

And I think I know why NiaX gave me the hun smiley. I think I gave TMI.

treblk 08-03-2008 08:35 PM

Aww Sorors,
If you could, please post some pics here..some of us don't know you govt. names or have FB....

When posting pictures from convention, be it here, on Facebook, MySpace, or any other online venue, do not post ceremonial pictures. Meaning if a non-Delta cannot attend said event, the photos should not be posted.

Step show photos and party pictures are fine.

Thank you for this reminder. :)

I was afraid I'd click on this thread and find our ceremonial cutting of the goat's head and drinking of pigs blood. Whew.

I would appreciate it if you Delters would stop peeking in the Alpher ceremonies and stealin'!

ETA: Can the kosher Delters drink cow's blood instead?

Alpher always wanna claim our stuff.

No. Delta overrides everything else in the world so ye shall do whatever Delta says. Pig pig pig pig.

***********
My people who went didn't take pictures. I can't be mad because I'm not really a picture person, either. I guess I'll just continue to listen to their firsthand accounts of what they saw. :(

MightyQuinn 08-04-2008 08:23 PM

Thanks for the pics Soror Shawnuff!
