As do your mismatched verb tenses.

Well, that does it, coffee's on you and your bloated sense of self. If I deign to show up, that is.

One of my favorite drinks on a hot summer evening is actually pretty, well - bad, if you think about it.

Arbor Mist's Cranberry Twist White Merlot

It comes in a big bottle with a screw top, but when it's hot outside, it is fruity and sweet and cold. My ex called it "alcohol juice." And no, he never drank it.

It's my secret vice.
:o

barbino 07-08-2008 09:23 PM

A lady drinks Brandy Alexanders and Grasshoppers - I learned this from my own mother (OK, I was an expensive date back in college or so my first Greek boyfriend must have thought when he complained about how much the drink mix cost). I did have to tell one bartender what was in a Grasshopper, though.

Otherwise, Bloody Marys (not hot) and Mimosas (mornings and early afternoons). I like Australian wines (Shiraz). No beers unless I'm in Milwaukee - then its wierd to have anything else. Shots? I haven't done one since I almost threw up downing one & everybody that I was with from work laughed, except for vodka/jello shots, again work-inspired. :)

LOL @ socialite, I just saw that you (innocently) posted in the "You Know You're a Neo When..." thread and tussled with Chaos and CrimsonTide. Too funny! You've definitely made it on my "posters to read" list. :D

Well I'm still a poor college student [and i may or may not be an underclassmen ;)] so technically...

Beer: Keystone Light
Wine: Franzia
Mixed Drink: Screwdriver
Shot: Pepe Lopez Tequila

Elephant Walk 07-09-2008 01:32 AM

Franzia is top notch to be honest. When I go through the drive thru I usually ask for "red" franzia. I remember running around the house with red wine spilled all over my white polo claiming I killed someone. Have to drink it out of the bag and spill most on yourself thats pretty much a prerequisite for drinking franzia.

I do too--and it's spelled correctly :) Well done!

33girl 07-09-2008 10:34 AM

OK guys - I'm asking you this one just for giggles. I was at a bar and a guy bought me a Jameson's & Diet Coke. What does this say about him? Please evaluate. :)

Barbino - I LOOOOOOOVE Brandy Alexanders but I don't have the $$ to drink as many of them as I want to when I get started w/ them. So I don't start.

EW's version is technically correct, though, too (just a semantics difference). His version is the one used by the Royal Air Force; Beta Sig's version is the same version NASA uses.

Aw, socialite, is this our first fight? :(

He's financially irresponsible or trying to make an impression. Well whiskey tastes about the same mixed as Jameson IMO. Jameson is a great sipping whiskey though.

I agree with the above assessment.

I didn't think that Jameson was all that excellent though...(or expensive).

I don't think any bars around here serve it? How much is it?

Eh, doesn't sound so bad to me. I'm a Jameson fan (although I prefer a glass of Jack Daniels), so I'd look favorably upon that purchase.

As to price, it's not terribly expensive - I think it's around the same price as Jack Daniels in bars, although I think it costs less per bottle.

oh crap, really??

Some friends and I ran up an extremely large bar tab when we were in Chicago and I thought it was because our male bud was doing Jameson shots and they were costly. Which means, we drank a hell of a lot more than I thought. yipes.

I bought a fifth of it for 27$, and it came with a flask.

My old man is a Jameson drinker and they normally cost the same as or only a little more than the Bacardi and diets I order.

Hm, that seems to be about the same price range as crown, which I'm a really big fan of. I drink crown and coke a lot. I remember one night I was out of town and the bartender was hammered and she was giving me crown and coke for a $1, of which I drank entirely too many but thats beside the point.

LOL yeah where my college is there was a club called "Shattered" well I was there on the last night it was open; as in they were bought out by another company and it was awesome, their bartenders were drunk as hell and they closed at about 1:00
well noone left... and by about 2:00 they were trying to get rid of the rest of their alcohol supply [of which was ample] so they were giving away free shots! They liked to have caused a riot ... that was the night I was introduced to tres generations... everyone was P-L-A-S-T-E-R-E-D.

dekeguy 08-04-2008 11:02 AM

Let me get this straight. Irish whisky and diet coke? Good God! Say it ain't so, please, say it ain't so!

Jamesons is quite drinkable straight up or with a small splash of water but Diet Coke? Saint Patrick must be amazed if not horrified.

Personally, if drinking Irish I like Black Bush neat or Paddy's with a bit of water, but I am more of a Scotch man. Single malt-neat, blended Scotch with a splash of soda.

That's essentially the recipe for our punch at the house.

Except no orange juice. And a LOT of sugar.

Which makes guys real sick, but that's what they get for drinking a girl drink.
