Not competing at all. :) Peep toes aren't the same thing as open toe.

I rock peep toes in the Fall and Winter, as long as the colors and fabrics are in season. If the top of my foot can be exposed in a heel I have no problem with the peep of my toes being exposed.

I brought the top pair (checkered) a year ago from Zappos and they are fire! I got so many compliments that I eventually purchased them in black/white and blue/white. The maker of the shoe is Naughty Monkey and they have all sorts of funky shoes like those. You may want to try Amazon.com; not only have I been able to find many of the Naughty Monkey styles but they are usually cheaper than Zappos!
