Allison was a whack job and a huge baby. Jeff, the interventionist, summed it up perfectly when he called her "Queen Baby." I wouldn't have the patience to deal with someone like her, it must be exhausting for that family.
And agreed on the sister being completely co-dependent. She wants her to get help but then she's like craddling her head while the cops arrest her? So much for the tough love that an intervention recommends. |
They need to just go the "The Cleaner" route. I love that show.

last night's episode was crazy. i cried a little (but laughed a lot).
i almost DIED when her mom said, "that's a funny face you're making"... then she was like "no, it's rage and anger. towards you." not funny, but damn. |
I was really happy that this week's episode turned out so well. The guy's daughter was precious and I'm glad he decided to quit drinking for her.
|
I was touched when he sang that song at the end. :)
He has a decent voice. I'm sure his voice is also recuperating from his addiction. |
Tonight's episode is one of the saddest things I've seen in awhile (the older alcoholic couple with the 4 adult kids).

I instantly thought of this episode. And this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IjBEf25Alw |
I've been watching this show for a few weeks, but I always forget to post about it. There was one I saw a few weeks back that was particularly disturbing.
This guy was an alcoholic and he ended up going to the ER because he had passed out and his family said he wasn't breathing. When in the hospital, he wanted something to drink SO BADLY that he put Purell (hand sanitizer) in a cup added some water, and DRANK IT. My kidneys and liver hurt just watching it. |
^^^ Okay, YUCK!
I watched the one the other day with the man who had SO MUCH emotional baggage and was an alcoholic. He had been with his boyfriend for 15 years and his boyfriend was such an enabler. |

He kept saying that stuff like how much he wanted a wedding and that recognition of their partnership, how no one recognizes that they've been together longer than sister and hubby, how he's devalued because he's not hetero male with a family. There was a whole lot going on there and I agree that partner was not helpful. |
I have about 8 episodes DVRd that I need to catch up on. But I like this show.
|
I saw the Nicole episode this evening. It's very sad on how she is treating her kids, having to use the microwave themselves. What if there was a fire? I want to hug Morgan. I don't blame her one bit for being upset with her mom. And it was gross the way Nicole pukes out food.
Okay, someone correct me. Is it true that she is 4'6"? Because I heard that she once weighed 63 pounds. Nicole's father is a jerk. He told her to get over the molestation. Apparently, he doesn't know his daughter well. The least he could do is to have some sympathy after what Nicole has been going through. |

Was that the lady with the feeding tube that she wouldn't take out (because she couldn't swallow or something)? Quite possibly the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. |
yes, this was the lady with the feeding tube that wouldn't face up to her problems and used the feeding tube as a weapon against everyone in the family.

Her fighting her naked, stinky sister really grossed me out so I eventually turned the channel. Her sister REALLY looked stinky. |

I love Sylvia Ann, the alcoholic Southern belle/drama queen.
"WHERE ARE MAH BAY-BEEZ!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUCjmM3-Dyw&NR=1 |
[bump]
This is incredibly hysterical, but also really sad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4qU57xPh5E "It's like i'm walkin on sunshine!" |
Those twins are SO codependent it's sick.
It was so sad to see them talk to their sister that way when it seems like she tries so hard to connect with them. Eating disorders are so sad. |

And the way they got excited when they were going to the same treatment facility was a trip. It's good that they got separate apartments. |
I saw tonight's episode. It was scary. They are so thin that they leave imprints on their skin. That's one of the most disturbing episodes that I have seen yet.
|
Anyone watching tonight's episode? I love what Grandpa said.
"If he comes back and he's good, good, good. Then, he starts using drugs again. Is there some kind of warranty?" Sadly, relapse is a part of addiction. (right, KSU? I know you're studying it.) |

Yep. It is part of the disease. I am glad that they got some help for his family (esp. the mom). |

Sooooooo sad last night.

//////////////////////////// I just watched a rerun of the gourmet chef heroine addict. It was sad because he has SO MUCH potential. Great cook, excellent sense of humor, and a woman who seems to love him so much. I have to say that this is one of the funnier Interventions. He tasted his food, did the happy dance, and started dry humping her in the kitchen. Not as amusing as the "walking on sunshine" woman. |
Tonight's ep was pretty sad.
But I love that his kids were able to say such great things about him, because he got the help he needed and was sober for the last bit of his life. |

That was such an emotional episode. Those kids were begging him to get help. :(

Her babies were covering their ears at the dinner table while the alcoholic and her sister were fighting and cursing. So sad. |
Couldn't help but think of "ear muffs" from old school at that point, not like that blocked anything out for those poor kids. How could she act like that in front of her own children! It's all made so much worse when kids are involved.
|
Her husband reminds me of Jason Priestley.
|
The reunion with her kids made me teary as soon as her son started running.
Her son and daughter are so cute. Her son is so outspoken and articulate. From the mouths of babes. :) |
Bulimic tonight.
They are showing her vomit. We can see the vomit. This is gross. ETA: She's in a sorority at Oregon State. She said she perfected the art of binging and purging in college. Her parents would clean 30 bags of vomit from her room. Eek. |
This is a repeat, but I can't remember what happens.

Eating disorder
This is the grossest Intervention EVER.
She feeds through a tube and uses a spit cup. She chews the food and spits it out. She doesn't care WHO she is around.:mad: She had the nerve to say she doesn't do it for attention. If you don't like it, don't look at her. Eh...she was feeding herself coffee through the tube in her waist and SHE called out someone's name and waved at them. That person wasn't paying her any attention until she called their name. She likes the attention she receives. |
