PLUS 14W 16W 18W 20W 22W 24W 26W 28W 30W 32W
Chest 41 42 43 45 47 49 51 53 55 57
Waist 33 34 35 37 39 41 43 45 47 49
Low Hip 44 45 46 48 50 52 54 56 58 60

Above is Fashion Bug's "Plus" sizing chart. (Sorry it's not in line, but you get the point) It's all in inches. 60" is pretty large.

MISSES 4 6 8 10 12 14 16
Chest 33 1/2 34 35 36 37 1/2 39 40 1/2
Waist 25 1/2 26 27 28 29 1/2 31 32 1/2
Low Hip 36 1/2 37 38 39 40 1/2 42 43 1/2

Above is the Misses. It does appear that the scale does get a little bit bigger when you get into the plus sizes.

and the inches have to go up not only in the waist, but everywhere else...

ok, im sure you (collective you, not AF) already know that.

Thanks AlphaFrog, that explains a lot.

In somewhat related post to the real topic of this thread, did anyone notice that all the pictures, except for one, are head and shoulder shots of the contestants? That seemed unusual since you didn't get one of all of them on stage.

The women are beautiful!

I was agreeing with you actually. :)

Interesting. I'm presently a size 12, and it is nearly impossible to find clothes that fit properly. (I have been a size 8, sometimes even a 6 most of my life, but am still working to regain my figure with 2 children under the age of 3. :) ) Clothing at most stores is cut for a smaller frame. I finally decided to try to see if I could find a pair of jeans that fit well at Lane Bryant...the second I walked into the store, the saleslady said "honey, nothing in here is going to fit you." :(

You'd think that if the average size is actually a 14, it might be a little easier for women in the 10-16ish range to actually find clothes! What in the world do they expect us to wear?

/end tangent

The problem during this phase of life is that the abs are stretched out, your pelvis probably had to expand and possibly your rib cage too. My coworker found this awesome website and a few of the ladies that I eat lunch with have tried it, bought the jeans that it recommended for them and had great success...
www.zafu.com click on "Get my jeans" and it walks you through a questionairre then finds the brands/styles that work best on you!

Size 24 is a body type. It's a plus size body type.

Get over yourself.

Ha! This is funnier on the board than it is in the email notification. :) God bless big fonts and their emphasis.
