TOTALLY !!!!!!!

Also Titanic.. (NO NOT WHEN LEO DIES) but when i see all those people in the water with frozen hair, grabbing onto pieces of wood.... blue lips... OMG... soo sad. :(

southernbelle84 03-26-2007 02:13 PM

I always cry at My Girl one. When he dies and she finally goes to his funeral and kinda flips out abdout how he can't see w/o his glasses. I cry everytime.

The Notebook of course. Who can watch that movie w/o crying?
Raise Your voice w/ Hillary Duff. I always cry when her brother dies.

unspokenone25 03-26-2007 09:49 PM

I know it's not a movie but...

The episode of Nate's funeral on Six Feet Under. It's on Bravo right now and I'm bawling my eyes out. :(

Okay, so a bunch of these have already been listed, but I am a huge sap and will cry at pretty much anything...

-Beaches (I love this movie and always cry at the end)
-Steel Magnolias
-City of Angels (no matter what, I bawl like a baby)
-My Life (I am such a sap I bought this movie because it's that good)
-Titanic
-The Notebook
-In Her Shoes (my sister & I are that close)
-Star Trek: Nemesis (yes, I am a nerd, but only the Star Trek fans may get this one)
-A Walk to Remember
-The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (when she goes to the dad's wedding)

As well as probably most Disney movies ever made. Like I said, I'm a big sap.

:)

Ditto on the following movies:

Steel Magnolias, Beaches, Titanic & A Walk To Remember. No matter how many times I've seen these movies I always bawl my eyes out.

Totally with you on Nemesis, I know which part you are talking about and I cried like a big old baby. LOL.

Definately agree about the disney movies.

Hmm other movies that make me cry...

Black Hawk Down (mainly because the music composed by Hans Zimmer is amazing!)

LOTR:ROTK-I will admit that I cry at the end when Arwen shows up. Even now, when I know she's gonna show up. I again also blame it on the score. The score is beautiful.

GI Jane- (I know you guys are thinkg WTF), but at the end when he gives her the navy cross, I cry. :D

Pirates:DMC- the end when Jack dies. Again I blame it on Hans Zimmers score.

For me the music can make or break a scene. If the scene is good but the music adds an element, it just becomes more powerful. It's really the music that makes me cry because it adds to the scene that is just so amazing in the first place.

I'm not sure if that makes any sense, but oh well :D

Perfect sense. I cried at 3 diff. parts of Dreamgirls, EVERY time I saw it (something in the ballpark of 5). Not for the movie, WHICH WAS STILL EXCELLENT, but for the music. Several pieces from the movie just...it sounds cheesy, but the music can just caress your soul in such a way that you're drawn in...and it becomes a duet.:D

Yep. I actually cried a little when Jennifer Hudson sang And I Am Telling You...it was that powerful, and such a sad song. I don't think I've ever cried while watching a musical performance.

I have to add the remake of The Parent Trap with Lindsey Lohan. I get a little misty-eyed when Hallie, who is pretending to be Annie, see's her mom for the first time. The other time I get misty eyed is when Jessie, figures out that Annie, who is pretending to be Hallie, is Annie and starts to cry. It's sweet.

Almost forgot, when the girls are at camp and figure out they are sisters/twins

Man, I was listening to that on my mp3 player and cried like a baby in the middle of the Honda dealership. I think it was hormones or something.

Yeah, I got a little choked up when she sees her and runs into her arms. I didn't cry but who couldn't be touched when everything goes all slow motion-y?

Okay this is one of my all-time favourite movies and my boyf wanted to shoot me on Sunday because I insisted on watching the camp portion of it. Lindsay Lohan was SO cute!

World Trade Center: The scene when the Marine finds Jimeno and McLaughlin (however his last name is spelled), and he says "you are our mission". I just always cry, like happy tears. Even though you know they are okay, it's like 'yeah'.

United 93: basically cried through the entire movie.

Pearl Harbor: When Danny dies and Rafe tells him he's going to be dad. I'm like "tears" :)

Superman Returns: The end when Clark is saying the whole "the father is the son is the father" thing to his son. Again "tears".

ImaDeeGee 04-05-2007 12:47 PM

Legends of the Fall gets me EVERYTIME! The one part that hits me the most is when Tristan (Brad Pitt's character) goes to Samuel's grave and sits there crying over him. It's almost like I can actually FEEL his pain.

And a movie that hasn't been mentioned...Wit with Emma Thompson (there is a play version starring Judith Light). Basically Emma plays a college professor who is diagnosed with terminal cancer and it follows her journey to the very end. I watched it with my boyfriend and he sat there crying his eyes out at the end...and he NEVER cries.

Little Miss Sunshine when the brother/son finds out he's color-blind.

ziasha07 04-05-2007 06:10 PM

Sometimes in April ~ That movie gets me almost everytime.

We can never watch movies or tv shows together, ever. It would just be pathetic.

Certain Episodes of Designing Women

*Slight Hijack*

Ok, for those of you who remember Designing Women (prior to Delta Burke leaving), this episode is a classic. It's when Suzanne hosts a child in the process of an adoption. She becomes emotionally attached to the little girl and has a difficult time letting go. I cry at this part EVERY TIME. The episode is called Oh Suzannah.

[The quote from the pillow given to Suzanne by her grandmother:]
Dear Little One,
I wish two things;
To give you roots.
To give you wings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Julia confronts, and then comforts, a very tearful Suzanne who doesn't want to give up Li Sing.]
Suzanne: Well I sure made a mess of things this time, didn't I?
Julia: Not yet. In a few more hours they'll be talking kidnapping.
Suzanne: I wish I'd never met her. She thinks I'm wonderful. She even loves my cooking.
Julia: You don't cook.
Suzanne: Well, I know that, but she doesn't! Li Sing's the first person who's ever loved me just for me.
Julia: She's not the first. She's the third.
Suzanne: What? you mean my ex-husbands?
Julia: No, silly. Mother and me. We love you just for you.
Suzanne: Yeah, but you don't think I can do anything.
Julia: That's not true. I just said I didn't think you were cut out to be a mother.
Suzanne: You mean unlike the four billion other women on Earth? Thanks a lot.
Julia: But you do something nobody else can do.
Suzanne: What?
Julia: I don't know what it is.....exactly.....that you do. I just know nobody else is doing it, or can do it, like you do. You giving away your pillow?
Suzanne: Yeah. I wanted Li Sing to have it.
Julia: I think Grandma would like that. I remember when she made these for us. Roots and Wings. We sure got our share didn't we? Suzanne, I'm going to say something pretty harsh, but I'm saying it because I love you. Just once in your life, don't put yourself first.
Suzanne: I'm not, Julia. I'm thinking of Li Sing.
Julia: No, you're not. You're not thinking at all. You know, in your heart, that she's better off with this couple. If you love her, like you say you do, give her wings.
Suzanne: I just didn't expect to fall in love with her. I know, you're right. I know. Ok, I'll do it.
[Julia takes Suzanne's hand and starts to cry herself.]
Julia: I'm so happy for you.
Suzanne: Why?
Julia: Because, now. . . you know what it feels like to be a mother.

*End Hijack :)*

Does any one ever get something like "tears of strength"? That's how I describe Flight 93, Glory, Schlinder's List, and other movies which cause a "Never Again!" feeling.

ETA: also Brian's Song, Sophie's Choice, and to whomever said she cries at songs, "Somewhere Out There".

BetteDavisEyes 04-11-2007 01:50 PM

A TV show episode that always makes me cry is one episode of Golden Girls. This episode is the girls sitting around talking about Mothers Day. I was watching it with my mother and the story in particular is when Blanche is telling about her last Mothers day with her own mother and how her mom didn't remember much anymore b/c of Alzheimers. My mom then started talking about my grandmother and her last Mothers Day with her mom. It got both of us crying our eyes out. I never got to meet my grandmother b/c she passed away before I was born but every time I see that episode, I think of my mom with tears in her eyes remembering her mother.

OMG I forgot about Glory. That movie always strikes a cord in my heart.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this movie or not, but Revenge of the Sith. I'm such a dork. :D That movie seriously made me bawl my eyes out. Even though you totally knew that Anakin had to go all "sithy" I was like "no don't do it" during the movie. Plus, John Williams score is just so powerful. To this day I always cry when the purge starts.

Two more:
Monsoon Wedding--When Ria's Uncle comes to get her to bring her home.
10 Things I Hate About You-- 1)The next day after prom and she's sitting on the porch. I get misty when her sister thanks her and they have a "moment". 2)When she reads her poem, right when her voice cracks and she starts to cry.:(
