I've never known anyone to lie about being greek. Nice username though Elephant Walk, if we had a funniest username award you would have it.

Ladydelta, if it makes you feel any better, I at first assumed Elephant Walk was a Delta - because surely no one would use the fraternity "Elephant Walk" as a user name - but I was wrong.
Um . . .can some fraternity man help me out here and explain an elephant walk? Delicately?:o |

go to urbandictionary and look it up...briefly its hand to member, thumb to anus in a circle...kinda like elephants hook to one another truck to tail and walk... |

I prefer the way it is done in a stroll where you put your hand on the shoulder of the person in front of you. They cover your hand with theirs and use the other hand to hold the hand of the person behind you. |

Elephant Walk (the hazing, not the poster)
Nastiness. It's just nasty.
Back to your regularly scheduled thread . . . |

Now we do it in public to each other as a joke and to protect the real one. |

The best though was some guy who claimed he was a UC Berkeley brother and claimed to have badge number 200-something, didn't know any challenges, didn't know the greek alphabet, the Berkeley chapter designation, etc etc. This is especially funny since they were founded in 1892 and are at like badge 1400-something. |
I remember seeing a very old photo of an IFC fraternity doing the elephant walk.
I prefer the Delta Elephant Walk. We do the one that Ladygreek is typing about and another one that is bent over and you hold the person's hand in front of you. I suck at explaining it. :D |

The only reason people lie about being Greek is because they want to be down...The only sensible reason, that is. Unfortunately, those have to resort to lying because they may have "rushed" and had not been offered the opportunity to go on line and pledge for their prospective organization. If that is not the case, they're just mentally insane and possibly a pathological liar.

LOL, LadyGreek, why so hostile? Who said I wasn't offered the opportunity to go on line? Go eat your breakfast and come back when you can have some respect for "Non-Greeks", mkay? Thanks.

I apologize for the crudeness, but I have been taking **** from her and her sister(s) all morning. I refuse to go down like a biotch.

Must be a half-slip with NO more elastic.

LOL, someone's got jokes.

To go back to the original topic, we don't always let in people from our organization from different chapters. It mostly has to do with certain other chapters in the state that we've had bad experience with in the past, as well as a certain program that nationals has created that not everyone looks favorably upon.
The only real guarantee of admission is coming with another brother. |
Semi back on subject. A while back I oversaw the cancellation of a member for ... well let's just say very legitimate reasons. Good thing we double check Rec authors on the Inat'l database. Sure enough this year that former member sent one in on a PNM. I can't believe someone would have the gall to do that, especially to her home Chapter where the Advisor she went toe to toe with was still advising. In hindsight I shouldn't have been surprised at what she was capable of.

Actually, I am what I am. What you choose to think of me is your own preference. I could think you're spanish, but if you're not spanish, then you aren't. Try again, sweetie. :p

Why did I create this thread?
I couldn't have. Maybe it was started by someone else or something? Or I was drunk. Christ. |
