I'm not sure which alumnae chapter is closest to Northwestern, but ZTA has 12 Alumane Chapters in the state of Illinois, 4 in the Chicago area. While it's true we have many southern chapters, we have chapters all over the country. So please don't say we're better suited in one area. My small northern chapter had fabulous alumnae from big schools & smaller schools and it was a great match. We were happy to have local support. Zeta is continuing select girls to be Traveling Leadership Consultants from all different sized chapters and locations. I realize that our image may be one way but I just would like to point out another side.

The "icky" years up here (NY) was the 70's-early 80's....why were we so much later?

Zeta Tau Alpha Selected

I know you've all been waiting in suspense, so I thought I would share today's announcement. The extension process at Northwestern was concluded yesterday with the selection and approval of Zeta Tau Alpha. They will begin their recruitment following the end of formal sorority recruitment in January.

Ha ha...yeah, I always have to pause and think for a second, when the chapter name is also the name of an NPC sorority.

FWIW: I had friends who were in a chapter that was designated "Delta Nu", which always made me smile (i.e. the sorority from "Legally Blonde".)

Lol, I read it that way too. I was going to wish them "Triad love" then I clued in it was ZTA.

Though ZTA isn't a Triad with my GLO, I certainly wish them all much love and success from a Panhellenic sister!

Heh. Alpha Phi's (the Fraternity) chapter at Northwestern is our Beta chapter. I think they've been there without any interruptions.
