They need to do a "Where are they now?" episode to find out what happened to those couples...I bet that at least half of them are divorced by now.
|
Whose Wedding is it Anyway does "where are they now" episodes. They are great!
|
It's on right now. They are showing all of season 3 today. I missed Marsha. I forgot how delightful she was:rolleyes::p

OMG Regina - I am just now catching it that she paid $6K for flowers? WTH? For that price, those flowers better sing and dance the score to Beauty and The Beast while they shower us with pixie dust! |
Yep, I just saw the Marsha and Archie episode. That asian bride was also highly obnoxious! ...JOHNNY...MICHAEL...

We don't get We in the town I'm living in this summer - GRR!

Whose Wedding is it Anyway is one of my favorite shows.

Sorry for the double post, but I'm in the wedding of one of my best friends (June 2008) and I love her to death, but she's the textbook Bridezilla.
She insists on accompanying all the bridesmaids to Victoria's Secret, so she can CHOOSE the undergarments we'll be wearing under our dresses (because of course we're incapable of choosing the apprpriate ones on our own). We're supposed to bring our dresses with us so she can see how our bras and undies look in them! She's hiring a makeup artist for us. Great right? It's not so great because she asking that we PAY for THREE trials of our makeup in the months leading up to the wedding--for $100 a pop. She wants to make sure our make up looks "perfect for her big day". |

I would say, "Thanks but no thanks, it's not my job to get made-up for $300 before the wedding." what a waste of money and what a bitch of a bride. And who is she to pick out your bra and underwear. Doesn't she realize that no one really gives two craps how you all look? Bridesmaids/matrons could show up in burlap sacks most of the time. I paid for my attendants hair and make-up. My caveat was just to not have my younger sister do her own make up...she does a crap job...too much eyeliner. They picked out their dresses and their shoes...I just picked them the color that I wanted them both to wear and even then, they had the choice between three- but they had to wear the same color. |
See and that's how I thought it was supposed to be. In alot of the weddings I've been in, if there was something specific she wanted us to have that was out of the usual (i.e. extra makeup trials or an updo from some super expensive salon) she would PAY for it.
Update: I called her about the underwear thing and she told me that I didn't have to. She told me that it's not me that she's worried about, but some of the other bridesmaids. She said that there will be no "VPL on my day." |
Bridezillas tonight!
Just reminding everyone the season premiere is tonight! Yay!
Then, the new season of Platinum Weddings is on right after (for those that are interested). Can't wait!! :) |
I'm watching Bridezilla and My Super Sweet 16 and realized the Sweet 16'ers will end up to be on Bridezilla.:p

I am curious to know how many of these Bridezillas are still married or what the divorce rate of these "my day" women is. My sister was freezing her butt off at my wedding and ended up wearing her Ugg boots, did I care? Not really, did I give her some fun loving crap for wearing Uggs? Sure. Granted the dress was long and covered her feet otherwise I probably would have asked her to put better shoes on for pictures, but we were in Ireland in late december so I didn't care. I was freezing my butt off too. If there is anything I learned at Engaged Encounter, "A wedding is a day, a marriage is a lifetime.":o |

WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!! It's on! :D

Ohhhhhh Snap!!
|
I KNOW!!! What is up with that daughter??:eek::eek:
|
Ok gotta talk about Anita and Christina. Christina needs to get a life! Twenty-four and still living at home...rent free!?! wth?! That was some madness. But ummm, she hit the nail on the head by saying that the groom may not even show up to the wedding!
I didn't think Anita was a bridezilla though. I think her daughter triggered most of her anger. It's sad that the guy is going to leave her.:( She seems pretty nice and just wanted to be happy. *sidebar* Even though that dude sucks for leaving her, he was pretty cute! lol :p *end sidbar* |
If this girl says "Fabulous!!!" one more time, I'm going to vomit. (platinum weddings)
|
Why didn't Anita know his age? I mean you can slip and say the wrong number, but she didn't appear to correct herself. :o
Did they mention how long they had been dating? |
I don't think they mentioned how long they had been dating

Clearly they haven't been dating long enough! :p |
Wow. After seeing Anita & Christina, I almost feel like I have to issue a statement on behalf of the Black community saying that I promise we're not all that crazy!:)
Those two are nuts. I'm 22 and I would never speak to my mom that way. My mom has also never spoken to me like that. Christina needs a life. She might think Dion is suspect (heck he just might be if some of what she said is true) but if she is that opposed to her mom's marriage, she should move out (though after next week's episode I don't think that will be an issue). The other bride, Andrea has some serious issues. Her excessive comments about weight, fat, etc were completely uncalled for. Especially to her bridesmaids, who were clearly not fat AT ALL. |
I am about to watch it and i can't wait
|
I just about wanted to cry when I saw how Christina and Andrea spoke to their mothers like that.
How DARE they speak to their mothers like that? I am so glad that Andrea felt terrible after mom gave her the guilt trip. |
I figured that if they spoke to Mom like that I couldn't feel too bar for her- it probably wasn't new (certainly not with Christina) and was something that they had tolerated for years. TV was not going to stop those lovely children form being their special selves.

I remember what I wanted to mention...
Did anyone notice how Andrea made her bridesmaids margaritas (I think that's what she made) and then had them go work out? lol, what kinda sense did that make!? Unless they cut & pasted those scenes, it looked like she got them liquored up and then made them go workout. What madness!

The whole makeup deal is a little ridiculous too. I paid for my bridesmaid's hair, make-up, hotel, etc. That is a bit much for her to ask of you...you never know folk's financial situation. |
