one of the last scenes was PJ coming over to Appak Univ to visit Johanna, and on the bus she meets a soror who speaks of their line, and that is where she sees Johanna pledging. They speak but the soap stopped at that point.

I agree with everyone else about the jump in time.

I need to know why Mona was not hanged or something. What the hell is up with Trina/Ronnie/Caryn. I wanna know is Gregg (Kappa) still chasing PJ.

I like the idea of homecoming wrapping up any loose ends. It's a little bit of a disservice to your fan base to leave EVERYTHING up in the air like that.

i read this last episode in 45 seconds. im over it. i understand you have to drag a story out, but nothing really happened in the last couple episodes to move the story along.

I thought it was just me at the bolded part. We're still at the Convocation (or whatever). Don't tell me this whole thing will take the first 10 episodes. Plus, we haven't been properly reintroduced to Mona and her antics. Mona should be entertaining us this coming Thursday. I really don't need to be sure to meet all of the characters before drama ensues.

If this was any other random soap, I'd ditch it. Since this is ATSB, I'm really trying to ride this out. The best juice so far is Taylor. Bold enough to be a white woman in a historically black sorority at a HBCU, but she picks the one black man that's not bold enough to embrace her in front of the rest of the world. Just sad...but fun to watch. :p

A revolt is an UNDERSTATEMENT! This underminds the fact that she is paper, because the stuff she is saying (colors) is common knowledge. Maybe the writers are trying to find a way to get her jumped. If that is the case I am :D.

THe Zeta and the budget problems; the AKA (Mona) being extra paper* are just co-inki-dinks.

*yeah they should have followed the rules (back a long time ago), but Mona needed (and needs) something done to her. ASAP

I'm actually disappointed that Mona is this over the top. She sounded like true Mona when she called the students "little students". I wasn't ready. However, I've never met or heard of anyone that remotely ignorant about Greek Life, especially a member of the D9. It's too much.

FOR REAL. :rolleyes: We are so being shortchanged. Can we get three scenes like we used to back in the day?

So I'm the only person that got confused the first time I read her rules? :confused: Okay. They have Mona doin' way too much. It would be better (read: more entertaining) if her level of ignorance was more subtle and they brought more of her arrogance and general attitude back out like before. That "little students" bit made me laugh.

ok so i just got through season one but can someone clarify things for me please? my thinking is that the original writer did seasons 1-4 and BET did a spinoff for season 3? the original writer also wrote another series called beyond the burning sands with different people? and now new writers are picking up the original writer's story at the same school-ahpla? also on one site i found a finale for season one but it's not on the original pg on blogspot. does anyone know who wrote this finale? any helpful response would be greatly appreciated. thanks alot :) i'm really enjoying so far. now on to season 2

so this is an add-on. i just started season 2 and trina tells caryn that she had a masicarriage and that Bobby is mad at her but I thought Trina already told Caryn that she was lying about being pregnant. what's going on here?

There's Buck, Miya, Sharonda, Gregg, Mike, June, & Denise so far. The only one who had a little drama revealed so far is Denise.

I haven't figured that out yet, SisterGreek. I find it odd that this story has these young ladies in this predicament despite the direction that Black Greek Life has moved into over the years. They have questions but have NONE of the answers about their interactions with "Big Sister" and the rest of the Ahpla chapter. That's just fascinating to me in 2008 when interests are encouraged to ask questions and understand the rules.

Honestly, I'd like to see someone start a process. We're in the 26th episode..., and there's no informational, tea, formal rush, or even blatant kissing up. Just a known Zeta interest asking questions of a Sigma... I keep trying to keep hope alive for this just b/c I love having a story about BGLO and HBCU life.

OK. I keep forgetting that above all else, this is a soap, and soaps don't always mirror reality at all. The situation with the alleged "ivies" is killing me.
