usually

Drolefille 06-15-2006 12:38 PM

Subway then, and get some Jalepeno chips...

I recommend the subway melt: ham, turkey, and bacon with swiss cheese (if available) lettuce, onions, parmesan, oregano, and the chipotle southwest sauce. Toasted.

Drolefille 06-15-2006 12:38 PM

Put the chips in the sandwich for a kick

I keep kosher and don't eat ham or bacon and I also don't mix meat with dairy. Also I don't like onions at all. So I most definitely will not be trying that sandwich.

tunatartare 06-15-2006 01:04 PM

So I went to Subway and decided to order a Roast Beef kids' meal. There was no sign saying that you have to be a certain age to eat one, and the guy let me order it. After someone had already made my sandwich, I went to pay for it and the guy at the register said that kids' meals are only for kids aged nine and younger and wouldn't give it to me. I tried to point out to him that nowhere on the menu does it state that, but he wouldn't listen to me.

You should have told him that your 8 year old kid was waiting in the car and would cry very loudly if he didn't get his kids meal!!:p

tunatartare 06-15-2006 01:25 PM

Haha to be an asshole he'd probably call child services on me for leaving my kid unattended in the car.

Drolefille 06-15-2006 01:48 PM

:o Didn't know about the Kosher bit....

Hmm.. it's still a good sandwich...but i guess the ham and bacon and cheese gone would make it rather different...

What did you end up eating?

tunatartare 06-15-2006 01:50 PM

Roast Beef

Drolefille 06-15-2006 02:52 PM

They gave it to you? Or you had to have them make you a full size sandwich.

/Gilmore Girls song stuck in my head for no particular reason...

Lady of Pearl 06-15-2006 02:53 PM

I have been tempted to do so -but never have done it. A friend of mind would do it -only thru the drive-through window !:D

tunatartare 06-15-2006 02:53 PM

they gave me the sandwich but no drink, no fruit roll up, and no toy :(

if you're out on the road
feeling lonely and so coooooold
all you'll have to do is call my name
and I'll be there
on the next train

AlphaFrog 06-15-2006 03:16 PM

This is AWESOME!!

tunatartare 06-15-2006 03:17 PM

Ok so after my Subway sandwich, I have been throwing up since lunch. I don't recommend that to anyone.

Drolefille 06-15-2006 03:37 PM

Oh no! It's my fault! I said Subway :(

I'm sorry KLPDaisy...

/My taco bell didn't sit well either

tunatartare 06-15-2006 03:38 PM

People still eat taco bell? ewwwww! Once I started eating authentic mexican, I can no longer eat taco bell or del taco.

Eat subway/quizno's/panera at your own risk. I've heard about sooooooo many people getting sick from eating at those places.

Drolefille 06-15-2006 04:50 PM

I do like more authentic mexican, but sometimes.. well the drivethrough helps

Am I the only person in the world who doesn't like Mac and Cheese!?!?!

No, I'm not fond of it either, nor do I like PB&J sammiches.

Sweet

I got a doctorate!

Do I need to go to grad school now?

/on topic.. I don't normally order off of kids menus mostly because I have a big appetite and prefer the big sizes. Occasionally though I'll get a grilled cheese someplace that only has them on the kids menu.

//did you know McDs will make a grilled cheese w/ 2 pieces of a bun and slice of cheese... my brother was soooo spoiled

If my husband who was born & raised in Veracruz, Mexico can eat at Taco Bell, I think you can suffer through it too.:p ;)

I try to order from the children's menu if possible. The portions are much better and the price is better. Some of the local restaurants try to add a $4 surcharge to adults ordering from the kids' menu. That makes no sense to me whatsoever because it's the same amount of food. You might as well get the larger dish and take half home.

Wow, that kind of defeats the purpose.

I'd guess that's probably what the restaurant is trying to do.

ladyhawk 11-06-2007 04:30 PM

why not? even if you don't really care about the money (not saying you never do ) most of the time at list speaking for my self i really enjoy the kid's menu because of the total picture. most of the times i go to fast soods with my kid which is 3 years old and we have so much fun when we both play with those tiny toys and eat our potatoes with a - loooooot - of ketsaup that i wouldn't change it for anything

I mean that I wonder if you are from Greece, perhaps learning to speak English, which is why your spelling and sentence structure are somewhat, ummm, unconventional and at times confusing. You do give your location as Pireus.

Just in case there is some confusion, this is a chat network for people who are members of or interested in North American Greek Letter Organizations (fraternities and sororities), not for general Greek culture or interest. Which is not to say at all that you are not welcome here, just that we don't get people from Greece showing up too often.
