If you new anything about Tyler, where I am from, you would know that it is extremely old money and is not, in anyway, a "new money" suburb. If you want to discuss who I am, what my family is, or what I will become then I will be more than happy to.

isn't Tyler where JC Penney headquarters is?

georgewallace3 03-03-2006 06:07 PM

no

utealum 03-03-2006 06:14 PM

Ah, Tyler. Arkansas with roses.

ETA you also claimed your dad was an Eagle- the only Eagle from TX in that time settled in Lago Vista. Hardly old money.

georgewallace3 03-03-2006 06:23 PM

Sorry buddy but you are wrong......you can pm me.....I think I am well aware of where my father "settled." You obviously don't know jack shit about Tyler or anything that has to do with it. And how does what my father did or what he does now an indication of my family's wealth? It goes back a little further than my dad alone. You are a stupid fuck and you need to stop trying to prove whatever point you are trying to make. Again, you can PM me if you want to discuss my father's retirement from the NFL and where he lived shortly after.

Hey, you're the one who brought your father and grandfather into it.

The only Texan who retired from the Eagles in 82 is Jerry Sisemore, who was the son of a Plainview roughneck. Nothing wrong with being a roughneck, but if you are his son, something about your posts doesn't add up.

You had no problem starting 92 threads about someone else's inconsistent personal history. But you can't defend your own?

amycat412 03-03-2006 06:30 PM

I have a friend from Tyler. I was under the impression it was a fairly wealthy town.

georgewallace3 03-03-2006 06:42 PM

What do you not fucking understand about a PM....I am not going to name drop on an internet forum....if you want me to prove your dumbass wrong than I will. And if I said 82, I was wrong, it was 1980, after they lost Super Bowl XV to the Raiders. He played under Dick Vermeil, Ron Jaworski was QB.....what else would you like me to tell you.

Yeah, not finding another Texas alum who fits those categories.

You mean you won't back UP your namedropping, not that you won't namedrop.

utealum 03-03-2006 06:54 PM

PM it to me, then. I am sure he would love to hear what you've been saying about him.

georgewallace3 03-03-2006 07:01 PM

email away loser

utealum 03-03-2006 07:04 PM

Yeah, a generic yahoo email's not doing much to back up your case. Nice try.

georgewallace3 03-03-2006 07:08 PM

Hahah, you are unbelieveable.....I am not going to go make up a brand new email account to try to prove my point. I could give a rat's ass wethere you believe me or not. That is his email address for his office, do you really think I am that big of a moron to hand you over my dad's personal email address?....I don't know who you are.

utealum 03-03-2006 07:12 PM

I would think handing over his business email would be an even dumber move, personally. (And what kind of office has a yahoo address?)

Oh, wait- you're over it.

georgewallace3 03-03-2006 07:17 PM

He has an address at home, one for the office, and another that is set up within the company (______@excoresouces.com or something like that). You can look up the company though if you want to know what kind
of company it is.

OK so I'm bored and I Googled Exco Resources. And on the front page of their website, there's this picture of SOMETHING with a ladder on it. I don't know, I don't know anything about oil because I'm totally not elite.

But the point of my story is that there's a little slogan/tagline on the picture. And I looked at it quickly and it said,

REACHING NEW HEIGHTS IN EXPLOITATION.

Anyway, that's pretty great and is well on its way to becoming my new motto as well.

I figured I'd share because this thread is already SUPER OFF TOPIC.

georgewallace3 03-03-2006 07:26 PM

Actually its "Reaching new heights in energy acquisition, exploitation, and development."

The picture is of a storage tank.

I said I looked at it quickly... the EXPLOITATION part is right under the REACHING NEW HEIGHTS part.

You don't see the humor? I am falling in love with it.

In Lexington if you're not at the frats, you should go to the Palms. No one EVER goes to Charlottesville. Hardly ever.

georgewallace--do you go to UT? I do too. We should get together! :) Send me a PM.

shinerbock 03-07-2006 07:35 PM

We should just change this thread to "Everyone's favorite bars," because most people on here judge "fratty" far differently from me. For a lot of people on here, my favorite bar in their town would probably be the one they hate. Where the elitist pricks hang out...

So you're an elitist prick?

georgewallace3 03-07-2006 08:34 PM

theres nothing wrong with being an elitist prick

I suppose not. I'm sure people appreciate the fair warning.

shinerbock 03-07-2006 08:57 PM

Well maybe a little. More, I think the people on this board would classify people I enjoy hanging out with as such. I don't think they're pricks, they just enjoy nice things, dress well, act classy and have money. That probably would qualify them as "asshole" to a lot of greek chat folks.

utealum 03-07-2006 09:11 PM

Nah, the only thing that qualifies someone as an asshole in my book is assuming acting classy requires having money. It's possible to do one without the other or both together, and I know which one is more important to me, anyway.

OK, I see where you're going.

I do have a question for you, though. I was under the impression that the Auburn fraternity guys were a little more country than the Alabama fraternity guys.

Like, are the guys down there the Ducks Unlimited sort or the Wallabees & polos sort? You see both at Alabama, but leaning more toward the Wallabees & polos.

georgewallace3 03-07-2006 09:35 PM

Bad analogy using Ducks Unlimited, which is a waterfowl and wetlands conservation organization and has nothing to do with style of dress or if you are "country" or not.

Don't worry, that's definitely not true. Not that I'm an official GreekChat spokesperson or anything, but I don't believe most of us would classify anyone who "acts classy" as an "elitist prick" or an a$$hole.

Mind you, however, there are folks out there who enjoy nice things, dress well and have money who think that, by virtue of those things, they are better than other people. Those people are, of course, the antithesis of "classy". Or, in other words, "elitist pricks" (or prickettes??? :) ) and a$4holes; the ones you look at and say, "Didn't their mama teach them manners?"

Except for the fact that people laugh at them :) And besides, anyone who would actually define themselves as "elitist" is trying way too hard to feel exclusive.

georgewallace3 03-07-2006 10:05 PM

...

georgewallace3 03-07-2006 10:05 PM

I was just kidding, I wouldn't want to be referred as that, not would I like to hang around anyone that is considered a prick. I don't think anyone would.

Most of the country boys I know love to hunt (either waterfowl or deer) and spend time outdoors, so they dress like it. That's all I'm saying. Some fraternity guys I know dress more outdoorsy as such, and others dress more dressed-up in khakis, polos, Wallabees or Sperrys, etc. I'm asking shinerbock which is more prevalent at Auburn.

And I know what Ducks Unlimited is. I've been to some of their functions before, and my boyfriend is a duck hunter, so believe me, I know more about bluewinged teals than I ever wanted to.

shinerbock 03-07-2006 11:10 PM

Actually I think they're probably about the same. I really don't hang out in Tuscaloosa very much, but I think Auburn and Bama are both more "Ducks Unlimited" in the winter, and pastels in the summer. I can't really speak to what happens at Bama, but when comparing Auburn to greeks from UGA, Arkansas, SC, etc, I think we're much more "preppy." I think the average stereotypical Auburn guy would be khakis, brooks bros or polo shirt, sperry's, all while driving a z 71. I'd say overall its more country and yacht club than hunting club.

georgewallace3 03-07-2006 11:18 PM

UGA, Alabama, Ole Miss, South Carolina..........are all extremely preppy, far more so than Auburn. Really not sure how you compared Auburn to a Yacht Club.

shinerbock 03-08-2006 12:37 AM

Sorry George, going against you on this one. The student body at Auburn is probably among the preppiest overall in the SEC . Alabama has good greeks, but the rest of the student body sucks. That is why their greek system is so strong, because they are so seperate from the majority of the campus. Bama has plenty of old money types, but so does Auburn, and it is pretty apparent. You mentioning UGA is simply ridiculous. UGA probably has the most money of all the schools you listed, but the large majority are metro-atl abercrombie type kids. Even many of the greeks at UGA are like this.

Yeah, that's why I didn't go to UGA. I couldn't stand the gel. lol.

georgewallace3 03-08-2006 02:56 AM

I certainly haven't seen that when I have gone to visit Athens, but oh well. Stupid to argue, allthough I do think that there are far frattier and more preppy schools than Auburn in the SEC.

shinerbock 03-08-2006 10:35 AM

Well hell, Vandy may be the preppiest school in the SEC. I think the SEC as far as fratty would be Ole Miss, Bama, then Auburn. That being based solely on the quality of greek systems.
