Good summary, OTW. I heard that Luka will be making cameo appearances, but just won't be a regular. That new ER Chief is a piece of work! IMHO, Sarah (Gates' non-DNA daughter) was sent off with the grandparents so Gates can enjoy some love interest(s) - which will probably include Neela. Having Ray go home to Louisiana was just too contrived - come on, he'd have some sort of accent if N'Awlenz was his hometown! I would have believe Wichita or Portland much easier! And didn't Luka take a backward glance once he was out of the Kennedy? Or was that Ray?

At the very end, Neela has wandered into an anti-war rally (I think at Grant Park), and Gates, although very far behind her, spots her just as a riot breaks out. Neela looks fairly trampled and Gates can't get to her.

Hope's "real name" is Busy Phillips?! Her parents must have hated her!

I cannot stand John Stamos' character on ER. I wish he would go away. And i'm still mad at the show for what they did to Ray...I really liked where his relationship with Neela was heading, then they go and run him over with a truck?! Cut off his legs and send him off with his mother to Louisiana? Dammit, Shane West was my eye candy on that show!

Has anyone heard of any cast changes for ER? Is Abby leaving? I know that Luka is only doing cameos, but the end of tonight's show left me thinking that there was going to be a wholesale change.

I remember hearing that Luka is ding episodes similar to how Noah Wyle did his last season on ER. Abby is not leaving per se, but may go episodes next season like Luka is doing now. This was all before the writer's strike, so I am not sure if it is going to continue that way. Also, someone mentioned that this may ER's last year on the air, which sucks because it seems like they are now getting back to what I loved so much with this show in its early seasons.

I see Sam and Gates getting together, even though he is flirting with the chaplain. Love triangle, maybe?

This article (warning, it says it has spoilers) does say Maura Tierney will most likely be there through next season (which will probably be the last), but this is supposed to be Luka's last season.

So maybe he just never comes back from Croatia with Joe? Maybe Abby leaves next year to join them over there?

I've frankly been really ticked off that they messed Abby up again this season. I think she (and Luka) have been through enough, I would really have been ok if they just let them be happy and ok for once...

It seems that no one gets to live "happily ever after" on ER - unless they're written out of the show, like Doug & Carol and all the rest.

And I want the old theme song back! This new one is nasty!

I totally agree. Once again, this season, another strong ER episode. How I wish the writer's strike would end. I refuse to believe that once ER finally got good again, it may be all over. Rumor is that this is the last season. :(

Just when Jeanie Boulet came back, leaving the open for ????? Last night's show was one of the best in the past couple years.

I didn't assume she'd be back to stay, though. Maybe a future guest spot. But the fact that only Chuny and Haleh knew who she was (not even Frank?) sorta underscored the fact that she's from a different era.

Why upset? I miss the old guys!!! I honestly have lost intresnt in the new shows and really only watch the reruns on TNT when I am bored, or sick in bed, or want to watch some good drama! One of those reasons is enough! :)

That upsets me too. :( But I'm glad there will at least be one more season, I've been fearing every season was going to be its last. 15's a pretty impressive number and I'm always amazed at how they keep managing to keep coming up with good shows. I hope some of the originals come back too!

The boy has been wise enough to have kept buying me each season as it comes out. I suppose 15 is a respectable number, but at the state of television today (I really hate "reality" shows), I'm already cringing at the thought of the drek which will replace it.

And they better have EVERYONE back during the last season. Well, except Mark Green - that would be a little creepy!

I feel a little cheated - it seems like they got married, had Joey, Luka went to Croatia, Abby went to detox, they reunited, then split up - all in two episodes.

HOLY CRAP!!! What was that?!??! I was kind of half-watching/half-not watching. Are we supposed to assume that explosion got Abby???!? And right after she and Luka made up??!?!?! :mad::mad: Neither of them are coming back next season, right? And who else was in the rig?

I had just read some info about Abby and Luca being in a couple of episodes next season so I think she's OK. Carter is going to be back for a few episodes next season I read also- I think it said 5-6 episodes, along with more Africa stuff. Don't know who ended up in the rig though- wish I did!

Okay, WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?! Either Sam or Pratt was going to get into the rig, and Abby had just barely passed by it - who's dead? Neither Sam or Pratt were outside of the ambulance, you'd think one of them would by outside of it.

Another excellent cliffhanger ending for ER this season. I'm so glad that Luka and Abby made up. I guess we won't know if Pratt will really get engaged until next season.

Seriously, isn't either Abby OR Luka coming back next season? Anybody else?

OK, whew, not that I won't be sad if we lose someone else, but I really need Abby and Luka to be ok. I don't know why. Just feel attached. :) And yay about seeing Dr. Carter next season! I miss me some Noah Wyle.
