Does anyone have pictures of the Maryland house? I would love to see what it looks like.
Also when a chapter is re-installed do the Quill numbers start over from 1 or do they continue from the last member that was initiated? |
Here's an article about the WKU colonization from the WKU College Heights Herald.

Pardon the crash, ladies. I thought you would like to see this article about the new colony at the University of Maryland. |
This is a great article to explain colonies in general. And this shows that although they COULD have taken more members they chose not to, going instead with about half the girls who expressed interest. Membership in a colony is not a sure thing! But watching their facebook posts, they seem to have jumped in head first and are having a great time. Good for them!

The Beta Eta colony at the University of Maryland will be installed the weekend of Dec. 8-9. Congratulations to the colony members!!

We've been invited to colonize at Bucknell in spring 2013! Congratulations to the expansion team!

Congratulations to the women of Beta Eta Chapter at the University of Maryland on their installation today!!

Its was just announced that Alpha Xi Delta will join the Greek Community at South Carolina in the fall of 2016.

I think we need to make a list so we can keep up to date with all these stacked expansions!
We have: Bucknell - in progress Michigan State - Fall 2013 UN-Kearney - Fall 2013 SIU-Edwardsville - Fall 2013 American University - Spring 2014 UCLA - 2016 U South Carolina- 2016 NC State - 2019 and don't we have something in 2014? And I have a vote (in my head) for a big one 2015, but I'll keep that one to myself... ;) I'll modify my list if people want to add. |
Still waiting on official numbers, but I counted 41 new members in a Beta Eta picture :) I've heard 40-42 for most of others, so I'm assuming they made quota. Yay!

HQ just announced that Alpha Xi Delta will be recolonizing our Delta Gamma chapter at University of Nebraska - Kearney in fall of 2013.
|
According to the NPC recruitment and chapter listing thread, colony at NC State in Fall 2019. Though it's a long time off, maybe it will get pushed up.
|
It's a heavily stacked expansion so I wouldn't plan on it being moved up much. We are third in line and every 2 years is probably good. The only problem I see is if they reach saturation before we get our chance! But I'm sure the powers that be have that on their radar.

Here's the announcement of the fall 2013 colony at SIU-Edwardsville. Thanks, DubaiSis for pointing it out!

Headquarters just announced that we've accepted the invitation to colonize at American University in Spring 2014. Our expansion team ROCKS!!

Yahhhh.....Alpha Xi! Way to go expansion team.
|
I selfishly look at possible expansion for where I would like to live next. Adding a chapter in DC greatly improves our options! So yeah for that. ;)
|
Our extension team is presenting tomorrow 4/26/13 at GCSU (Georgia College and State University). According to the NPC recruitment thread, DPhiE is also presenting, and I don't know about anyone else. If selected, the new colony would join Georgia chapters at Georgia Tech, Georgia State, West Georgia and Southern Poly. Also hoping opportunities to recolonize at Southern and UGA come up soon :D

Just announced tonight at the Opening Convention Banquet. Alpha Xi Delta's Epsilon Omicron chapter will be returning to Oklahoma State Univ. in the fall of 2014. The OK State Panhellenic sent a lovely welcoming note and a beautiful arrangement of roses to welcome us back.

At UCLA, AGD is re-colonizing Fall 2013, with AXiD coming back next. With the numbers going through Recruitment, I think the 12 sororities will be BUSTING OUT OF THEIR SEAMS if AXiD doesn't come back until 2016.
At this point, only 1/3 (or less) of the members can live in each house and chapter total is in the 160's. |
Headquarters just announces that we will be colonizing at Temple University in the spring.
|
Updated list:
Bucknell - Iota Tau chapter Michigan State - in progress UN-Kearney - in progress SIU-Edwardsville - in progress American University - Spring 2014 Temple University - Spring 2014 Oklahoma State University - Fall 2014 UCLA - 2016 U South Carolina- 2016 NC State - 2019 |
