yeah, I was 90% kidding - a vast majority of my buddies are ISU alums, I don't really think that you guys only care about the Iowa game.

U S C.

oh me oh my. Thank you Arkansas for calling the Trojans "Just another average SEC team". Right...

ETA: I just read up on a stat. The Trojans only held the ball for 1 minute and 32 seconds the entire first quarter. yet the Managed to score 4 touchdowns during that time frame. 4 out of their first 8 plays went for touchdowns. AMAZING

Nice win by Louisville vs Oregon St. But Louisville will always be a bunch of pussies to me. Why you may ask?

*this was not an actual conversation, but pretty damn similar...

Mike Garret USC AD: Hey Louisville, whats up? USC here. It looks like you guys have November 19th open. Our game that week pussed out on us so we need another non conference game. You wanna schedule a game?

* Louisville AD thinks to himself : University of South Carolina? Spurrier's new team? Shiet, they are a bunch of pansies, and we'll take em down for sure. Besides people will think we're bad asses for beating an SEC TEAM.

Lousville AD: Ok yeah sure! Lets DO IT.

Mike Garret: Ok Sweet! You wanna come to LA first or you want us to go there?

Louisville AD: LA? Why LA?

Mike Garret: Well dude, that is where our school is...

Louisville AD:  OH SHIT, this is Southern Cal? Oh Umm... uhhhh we can't go out to LA....uhhhh travel isssues, yeah...

Mike Garret: Ok dude, we'll go to Lousville then. Look, we are really desperate and we need to schedule a good non conference team since things fell through with another team.

Louisville AD: Uhhhh yeah, ummmm you can't come to Lousville either. Uhhh theres a concert. Yyyyyyeahhhhh....*CLICK*

Mike Garret : hello? Hello?

**USC found a replacement. They will now face Fresno State on November 19th, meanwhile pansy Lousville still has a bye week.

so damn cool 09-18-2005 02:48 AM

USC destroyed Arkansas today. I feel sorry for anyone who play these guys.

Leinart/Bush are deadly as hell.

The1calledTKE 09-18-2005 08:42 AM

I did not realize Arkansas made those claims. If they did they were very stupid. I don't know anyone that though Arkansas would even come close. Hell Arkansas lost to Vandy of all teams. Vandy is usually the bottom dweller but it looks like it will be Arkansas this year.

Amy or Bobby do either of you know if USC has any other SEC team scheduled for upcoming years besides Arkansas? I know they did play Auburn a couple years back.

The War on I-4

My Bulls kept UCF in it's place last night, last place that is.

My friends and I walking out of the stadium: 0-17 how does it feel?
UCF Band member: It's OK, we're used to it!

Classic! What wasn't classic was the UCF fans. What a bunch of idiots! I'm sorry, but they were the most disrespectful fans I've ever seen at one of our games. I've never seen more arrests at a USF game, scratch that, more arrests in the parking lot tailgating. Tripping our mascot as he walks through the parking lot? Throwing stuff at our band? That's uncalled for. Guess when you're 0-17 you need to have twice as much attitude to still feel good about yourselves.

Bulls are 2-1, 2-0 at Ray Jay! Next week our home winning streak will end as we take on Louisville :(

KSigkid 09-18-2005 10:53 AM

Well UConn got spanked by GT; can't say I'm horribly surprised, although a win on the road over a Top 20 team would have been nice.

Also, the atmosphere around here was pretty insane for the BC/FSU game. I can't imagine how it would have been if BC had pulled it out. People were getting ready to riot by halftime.

blueGBI 09-18-2005 11:25 AM

Penn State 40
Central Mich 3

Next week, we start our Big Ten schedule at 3-0. No one has felt this energized about PSU football in years.

WE ARE PENN STATE!!!

AUDeltaGam 09-18-2005 12:16 PM

Auburn: 63
Ball State: 3

USC does not have any SEC teams coming up. They have Nebraska and Ohio State though.

Originally USC had called LSU to settle the air, but LSU was already booked.

ETA: USC was really desperate to add that last game. I don't know which team it was that backed out. I think it was a Big 10 school. But some school scheduled USC, at their home stadium and then cancelled out on USC and scheduled some patsie to replace them.

Believe me, judging by some other college football forums I am on, USC fans really really really want to face a quality SEC team. Preferably LSU, but I honestly think USC wuold wipe the table off them. Florida looks like they would be a good matchup though.

cutiepatootie 09-18-2005 01:33 PM

I went to the USC / Arkansas game yesterday at the collesium with both my father and older brother (Los Angeles----the realllly bad part of L.A. for protection and of course bonding over the one thing we all have in common Arkansas)........ooooh my god that was shameful i think i stopped watching after dam early on! My dad is all about t he football and my brother is too i am all about the fact i grad from arkansas and they were playing in my home state. It was embarrssing to go up against a team like USC and expect to win.....i think i came home last night in shell shock!

Yeah, I remember that; it was the deal for Varsity-level National Cyclone Club members (new alumni, basically) to try and get more to join the NCC. But as far as general admission season tickets go, they've been around $200 for the past 2-3 years.

I absolutely loved that game. I was screaming and yelling and all of that. Since this was the first time I have been able to see State play this season (being as I am in St. Louis), I really enjoyed this game. It may not be saying much, but we beat ND and ND beat Michigan...October 1st is going to be an interesting game to watch!!

GO GREEN!!

The1calledTKE 09-20-2005 10:19 PM

Have you ever checked out the bottom ten?

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2166759

DeltAlum 09-20-2005 10:29 PM

That sucks. We can't make the top or bottom ten. I guess that's what we get for beating Pitt.

On the other hand, we do get to play Ball State for Homecoming. That should prove something.

AOIIalum 09-20-2005 11:17 PM

Cool, Kentucky's not in the bottom 10! There, finally, something for me to be pleased with tonight.

UKDaisy 09-23-2005 12:51 AM

Thank God we are not in the bottom 10.

And hopefully they won't product a bottom 20 or 25.... le sigh:(

so damn cool 09-23-2005 11:18 AM

Damn, wasn't Pittsburgh ranked in top 25 in preseason? Now 0-3?

Poor Wanny :(

Hey, when you play powerhouses like my Ohio University Bobcats, you have to be ready to accept the consequences.

Cute Bobby.

A&M: 44
TX State: 31

WTF? How Could they let them put up that many points? That is just BS.

But still.... WHOOP. They are now 2-1.

I would hope not, unless he was slumming that night.

It'll be a good test for USC this weekend. They actually have 2 decent games here in a row, on the road at Autzen and then headin to Tempe. It remains to be seen if the Irish are for real, if so, that's another big game. Unlike last year when the critics complained about USC not playing anybody of substance, their schedule this year is pretty decent.

blueGBI 09-24-2005 04:20 PM

PSU 4-0!

I was concerned since our D decided to have an off game but that last minute TD from Mrob to Dwill... words still fail me.

I have faith. And if we go 1-2 over our next 3 games with Minn, Mich, and OSU, I'm booking my bowl game tickets.

Big East - Wide Open

Oh what Louisville? I thought you guys were ranked #9. Think you can come down to USF and beat us at Ray Jay? I don't think so! 45-7 and there's still time left in the 4th, but that's all the more time the Bulls have to run up the score a little more.

To quote Principal Vernon in Breakfast Club:
Don't mess with the Bull...You'll get the horns!
