Yes, Kappa Delta too! TSteven already corrected that. How could I forget our National neighbors in Memphis!!!

dgdramadawg 08-11-2005 06:52 PM

Anyone know how many girls are rushing at UGA? I mean, we know it'll be somewhere around a bazillion or so... but I'm curious whether anyone knows a recent count. I feel more in the loop about Auburn than I do my alma mater!

PsychTau 08-12-2005 09:03 AM

Does anyone know off the top of their head if Auburn is using the new release figures formula?

KLPDaisy and I were talking over dinner one night, we wonder what would happen if a PNM from one of our schools saw GC and got recs and all dressed up, how the actives would respond to it. AEPhiSierra, can you see someone at BC showing up with recs & stuff?

I just looked at this thread after Buttonz led me to it. Haha, I think if a girl came through recruitment with a rec at my school, all of the rho chi's plus the sorority that she got a rec for would be beside themselves trying to figure out what to do with it.

leesek 08-12-2005 09:52 AM

So excited!!!

I'm going up to UK today for my daughter's sorority's family and friends night. We get to see all of their skits and songs and dances they'll use next week during recruitment....

Several girls from our town will be PNM's and they will be moving in tomorrow. Open houses will be Sunday (12 parties).

Yes, this is the second year I believe.

GtownGirl98 08-12-2005 02:49 PM

AGD at UK!

Well let's just say WOW!!! I attended the skit run through for alumnae at UK last night and it was sooooo good. You can just see how hard the ladies worked all week.

I so want to be a college girl again... I miss the recruitment fun!

littlebritches 08-12-2005 06:35 PM

UK

I will second what gtowngirl said. UK' s recruitment is going to be awesome!! I wish I was back in college too!

Yayyy! Mississippi State recruitment starts this weekend, covered by our Mississippi friend Angels&Arrows, whose sister's daughter will be rushing :)

KDLady00 08-12-2005 08:01 PM

Does anyone here know about OleMiss's recruitment or Delta State or even Millsaps?? I try to keep up with all Mississippi's recruitments but its been hard with me moving!

UK's rush starts today. Best of luck to all involved!

GO CATS!

carnation 08-13-2005 11:35 AM

I'm trying to be patient too but I'm not succeeding! I haven't called Tiger's mom bc I know what she's going through. The nurse at school is heartbroken bc her favorite little AU rushee was cut from her sorority and several others. This girl was everything at a high school in the next county.

I can't wait until the bid lists are published! May everyone find a great home!

  :(

As a UGA alum, I lust after the Auburn Panhel website.

Jill1228 08-13-2005 12:11 PM

The Auburn website rocks! I was just looking at it again! LOVE IT! I see a few girls sporting Vera Bradley Bags :D

rebelsweetheart 08-13-2005 01:25 PM

I was just looking at the pictures from the philanthropy round at Auburn and I was very suprised to see girls in jeans and denim skirts that have holes in them. After wearing nice sun dresses to the ice water teas it seems odd to wear something that is meant to look torn up, even if it is in fashion...just my opinion.

carnation 08-13-2005 03:45 PM

Another update!

I finally found Tiger's mom and she's going to prefs today at Phi Mu, ZTA, and Delta Zeta! And she loves all 3 so she'll be happy wherever she goes!

dgdramadawg 08-13-2005 07:57 PM

My 5 UGA gals (F, L, B, P, and W) are all having a lovely time with recruitment. They visited 11 houses today and P e-mailed me to let me know that it's been a whirlwind, but they're excited about tomorrow!

SDT does participate in formal recruitment but it is true that we are opting out this year. Just wanted to clear that up. :)

So, no SDT, either?

GPhiBLtColonel 08-14-2005 03:21 PM

Quota at Auburn is 59; bids are distributed at 3pm (CST).....

leesek 08-14-2005 03:23 PM

I am truly in awe of everyone's patience.:)

PhiMuLady150 08-14-2005 03:56 PM

I'm dying for Auburn results.!!!!! I wish that BR had scheduled me to work today so I had somewhat of a distraction but alas no:(

carnation 08-14-2005 04:15 PM

Stilll nothing on the AU website. Rats. Didn't someone here say it would be 5 PM EDT?

FSUZeta 08-14-2005 05:08 PM

If I were a PNM going through rush at an SEC school, I'd be horrified if I found out an alum was airing my confidential information on a public message board.

That is all.

Congrats to Auburn and to all PNMs who received bids today.

Considering the bid list is on a public website, I don't see any trouble in positing the updated link.

I don't believe she's talking about the bid lists. More some of the stalkerific info that's been posted in this thread

What kddani said.

Checked out the bid list and noticed a few familiar last names in the list of newest Alpha Gams. Glad to know the AGD-Gamma Delta chapter had a successful recruitment (as always).

But yes, what kddani said.

Angels&Arrows 08-14-2005 05:51 PM

Congratulations to AXO, ADPi, AGD, AOPi, XO, DDD, DG, DZ, KD, Kappa, Phi Mu, Pi Phi, SK, and Zeta for taking Quota plus of 62!!!

Edited to add, that Gamma Phi made quota of 59. I apologize, I was told that quota was 62.

Speechpath 08-14-2005 05:57 PM

Congrats to all orgs and their new members :)

AchtungBaby80 08-14-2005 06:26 PM

I'm going to help with rush at UK tomorrow and Wednesday...I'm excited, because I haven't been back to the house in almost two years! :)

AUDeltaGam 08-15-2005 09:24 AM

Auburn DG made quota plus of 62 new members! Quota was 57 :)

OleMissGlitter 08-15-2005 09:52 AM

GO Delta Delta Chapter of AOII!

ETA: I wrote a rec for a friend of a friend and the young lady went Sigma Kappa at Auburn!!! She is super excited as Sigma Kappa was one of her top choices!!!! :)

dgdramadawg 08-15-2005 06:18 PM

Just so y'all know, the young woman I wrote a rec for at Auburn went Pi Beta Phi. She's thrilled (and so's her mom, who's also a Pi Phi)!!!

GeorgiaGirl 08-15-2005 06:28 PM

Well, we just finished up round two at UGA. It was a really great day, but after 12 rounds of house tours we're all EXHAUSTED. There are some really great girls going through at Georgia this year.

UGA is using a different release system this year, so we don't really know how numbers are going to be this year. I'm not exactly sure what they're doing...I know that they're using some kind of software to determine the numbers.

I'll definitely keep everyone posted on how things go tomorrow. Best wishes to everyone else who is busy with recruitment!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that this new release system works out in an awesome way for all 17 houses doing recruitment this fall.

Woo! Yea Alabama Gamma :D!

The school nurse's little PNM went KD at Auburn and she's now worrying about the PNMs at UGa for whom she wrote recs.
