On a local morning show here in Birmingham, it was said that the same people who produced "Ray" are producing the Jackie Robinson story and that they want Jamie Foxx to play the lead. I hope that Jamie doesn't forget his comedic roots and ends up getting type-cast in bio-pics or dramas all the time.

I don't know if you watched last summer, it was either on the E Channel or MTV about mean celebrity bosses and she was one of the mean bosses along with Sylvester Stallone and a few others.

Before my father died, he told my mom that he saw Steadman eating at a fairly popular lunch spot in San Diego and that Steadman was, err, looking kind of intimate with another man. This was over 10 years ago.

She's probably back on cocaine again. A few months ago she did this interview and she admitted to having a problem with drugs in "the past" but insisted that she had got help for her addiction and was clean but then again Whitney said the same thing and look where she is!

Ron Mexico is the name Michael Vick allegedly used to obtain medical treatment for his HSV infection....hence the pics(LMAO!) of his football jersey with the name "Ron Mexico"...

Kellie Shanygne Williams and Jaleel White are to be filming the first 7 episodes of their new sitcom "The Family Table" tomorrow! The new sitcom will be a salute to Nick & Nite and TVLand's "Share More than MEals at the Family Table" they will be playing Laura and Steve.

Because of Jaleel's sickening of playing the nerdy Steve Urkel he wants to be himself by creating the backstory of the fact that Steve's voice cleared, his back straightened and became a little mature but is still the same old Steve.

Laura didn't take STeve's last name

The plot of the show is:

Laura and Steve have been married for 7 years since the finaly of Family Matters. They have 6 year old twins, Stanley (Bobbe' J. Thompson) and Estelle "Stelle" Urkel-Winslow (Jamia Simone Nash) and are going to adopt two teens, Michelle Bell (Solange Knowles)and DJ Harvey (Bow Wow) now they have to figure out how to share more than meals at the family table while dealing with Stanley's girlfriend Sierra (Juliete Goglia).

The show got weird in the end. Well, to be honest, it was weird for a few years before it ended. :rolleyes: Anyway, Laura realized that Steve, NOT "Stephan," was the man for her and they got married.

This semi-spinoff sounds crazy. I don't know how it will do. Kids used to love Steve's hijinx. Kellie isn't as cute as she used to be.

Alfre Woodard is joining the cast of "Desperate Houswives" as one of the newest denizens of Wisteria Lane, the first black woman to be a regular cast member.

"It's great to be breaking the color barrier, but we're all such fans of her," says co-executive producer Kevin Murphy. "She's one of the best actresses of her generation and to have her on the show is an incredible honor."

"Desperate" sources say Woodard will play a deeply religious, overbearing single mother who moves to Wisteria Lane after her son gets involved in an bad situation with a girl in their old neighborhood.

"Like all the rest of our woman," says Murphy, "there's going to be much more to her than initially meets the eye."

Woodard has a personal story very much like the some of the other, older female stars on "Desperate."

I'm alll for adding a black woman to the cast, but why they have to be so sterotypical:

1. deeply religious
2. single mom
3. overbearing black woman
4. son gets in a bad situation in the old neighborhood (I just hope it wasn't the "hood" :rolleyes: )

I know everyone on Wisteria lane has issues, but dang....Or am I being the sensitive black woman??

FOXY PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO NAIL ASSAULT: Rapper said she didn't get her promised pedicure.

*All she wanted to do was get a manicure and her toes did. Instead, rapper Foxy Brown ended up in a street fight with two workers at the nail salon, and on Monday appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court to answer to misdemeanor assault and attempted assault charges over the August incident.


"I got the pedicure, but they didn't give me the manicure," she said outside of court after pleading not guilty to both charges.


Foxy, whose real name is Inga Marchand, said she was a frequent customer of Bloomie Nails, located on West 23rd Street near Eighth Avenue. The rapper said she had asked for a manicure and a pedicure when the salon was about to close, but only received the pedie.


The drama started when Foxy tried to leave. Employees locked the door to prevent her from leaving without paying. Foxy said they were demanding payment for both services when she only received one. Fist-a-cuffs ensued, during which prosecutors claim Inga kicked and hit a manager, Sun Ji Song, causing "bruising and swelling to the face, as well as substantial pain."

Prosecutors said the salon's employees ran out to Foxy's car and stood in front of it to block her. At one point, they said, the artist hit one of the workers with a cellphone.


"Eventually, with all the screaming going on, they released her," said Joseph Tacopina, Foxy's lawyer, adding that his client never hit any of the workers directly on the face, but said an altercation had taken place. He said that the employees are trying to take advantage of Foxy's wealth and fame, and that his client had a receipt showing that she had paid for the pedicure.


Arriving to court in a white Land Rover and dressed in Dolce & Gabbana, Foxy said after the proceedings: "I've overcome adversity my entire life. I'm trying not to be deterred by any negativity."

She then joked about her toes being worth more than the price of the service.


"A $20 pedicure? Are you serious? I mean, look at me!" she said.:rolleyes:
