Point = $$

ZTABullwinkle 03-01-2005 12:51 AM

OMG! I never expected this to happen. Jen keeps saying how they came to an agreement that they were better off as friends....but Jerry looks like he was hit by a train.

I hate to say she is really going to be scrutinized after all of this. John Paul makes everything she wants, but picks Jerry and dumps him!

Like someone asked in the audience....what the he** is she looking for?

Taualumna 03-01-2005 12:57 AM

Jerry looked like he needed a hug...:(

GeoffZ 03-01-2005 01:05 AM

This season was horrible. What is she looking for?!

The new bachelor will be Charlie O'Connell (Jerry's little brother).

SATX*APhi 03-01-2005 01:51 AM

That was just dumb and a total waste of my time.

Anybody else wonder if she had picked JP if things would've worked out differently? I think she was so blindly infatuated with Jerry from day one of the experience that once it faded, she realized that he wasn't the one for her at all. Or, she simply got to know him better in more "real" circumstances and realized that it wasn't right. I think this was the most realistic Bachelor/Bachelorette yet, because it's an unrealistic method of selecting a mate. Trista/Ryan are extremely unusual.

mmcat 03-01-2005 09:33 AM

what a waste!!
and this was her second try in the franchise.
she came off looking very foolish.

AznSAE 03-01-2005 11:16 AM

at least jerry and her did the monstrous mambo. i think so.

valkyrie 03-01-2005 12:49 PM

Jerry is HOT.

Anyway, I grew to like Jen less and less as the season went on -- and OMG did she like audition the most eerily tan blonde women in Chicago to play her friends? Yikes. I have NO IDEA what girlfriend is looking for in a guy -- but what's even creepier is that she doesn't seem to have any real emotions or any real personality.

Although I thought he was creepy and in every instance said exactly what he was supposed to say but didn't come off as sincere to me, she should've picked John Paul. They both seemed weirdly lacking in personality and emotion.

My DH got all riled up about Jen ditching Jerry on the show. He felt Jerry was an idiot for staying on the stage after Jen refused his proposal and love. My DH said, "At the next break I would have left!" He was visibly angry by the whole thing! LOL

I knew it wouldn't work out for Jen and Jerry. She is still so guarded about letting another man into her heart after her breakup with Andrew Firestone, it's no wonder why this one was a bust!

Not that I was particularly fond of Jerry, but I did feel bad for him. You could tell he was visibly upset and Jen did this so publicly that he had to try to take the high road...

I read on TwoP that if the ratings for Charlie O'Cs drop even further, then ABC will cancel the Bachelor/Bachelorette.

I think it's played out...they've seen the whole gambit...men who won't propose to the women, men who propose and then it doesn't work out, women who accept the proposals and then it doesn't work out, the infamous wedding, and finally the public rejection...

I don't think this show can possibly go anywhere else!!

SATX*APhi 03-01-2005 08:36 PM

I loved when Jen's mom put Jerry's flowers in JP's vase. That was great!!

Regarding the cancelling of this show, I think this is the only new reality show that hasn' changed much from its original season. There aren't any "twists" and I think that's why I love it. What they need to do is find a group of hopeless romantics so that in the end the final couple will end a la Trista and Ryan. I think that's what the show needs -- another successful couple. I would be very dissappointed if they chose to cancel the show.

This is such a great point!! Unless they can find another success story, the show will not be able to sustain itself...my only question is how successful Trista and Ryan will be long-term...they're continually in the spotlight and not really giving their marriage to be out of the spotlight (aka, Fear Factor as of most recent!).

Ah, but the pages are still on their server (I heart you, Google).

And yes, Jen is the epitome of a LP Trixie (my god, she's even named Jen!!). All she needs is her Chad.
