I am loving the Lil Bow Wow song -- he had me singing it this morning as I brushed my teefs. :D

This week I have seen more videos than I have in a good little while in one setting. You know what makes it so hard to watch some of these videos??? FREEEEEEEEE -- she really works my nether regions something fierce. She did before she "pyramided the world" :mad: this week but now she has taken my dislike of her commentary skills to a whole nother level?

nappy roots: i don't think it is a marketing gimmick. from looking at their video, i truly believe that them boys are kentucky-fried country!

i hate ashanti's voice because i feel she has no talent but her video is so cute. it goes with the song. but, if i see that video just 82 more times, i think i'll scream!!!

i love musiq's new song and video. and is it just me or is he looking better? maybe it's the hair cut.

i may have addressed this in the B2K thread, i can't remember, but why are them boys dancing they butt off to a slow song?

Have you heard her CD? I heard it on the way back from Charlotte and while her "skits" :rolleyes: make my head hurt, the last song "THANK YOU (doubt that is the title) showcases her voice rather nicely.

1) Well MeezDiscreet, I agree with you on everything you stated. Lil Bow Wow (or Bow Wow since he is 15 now) is definitely a cutie, but most of them girls/women were not so cute, especially the girls (it was like two of them or something) with the jacked up ears looking like Dumbo was their long lost relative. :eek: And why did the director put them ugly @$$ lil girls in the video anyway?

2) I looooove the Nappy Roots song, the hook is infectious!!! :cool:

3) B2K look like they just came out of the lil girls' closet and they aren't that cute to me. They don't even look talented.

4) musiq has always been a cutie to me since his first video. I think he needs to smile more often and show off his pearly whites. When he first came out, I wasn't feeling the hair; it made him look like a lion. But the headwraps did him some justice. :D Now his short haircut makes him look like a lil boy with a birdchest, but he's still cute.

5) And last but not least, Ms. Ashanti. I heard on more than one occasion that her album sucks. But if it sucks so much, don't you think that the people who bought the d@mn thing would've told their friends and family not to waste their money and buy it? Well, that's what people get for buying an album for one song. :p :p :p

I think the members of 3LW are a little too young to have a song/video with Naughty by Nature. I like the song but when I watch the video I can't get over the age difference and how they're trying to look sexy. Especially the scene where Treach is with one of the girls. I just don't understand.

has anyone seen the "oh boy" video? isn't cam'ron cute!!! for whatever reason, i don't remember that boy looking so good!

I was NOT feelin the Cam'ron video a'tall! It seemed like just another rap video with hoes and bling bling. Nothing special, and the song is not good enough for me to want to sit through tat garbage.

Can someone tell me why the hell Naughty by Nature has a song out AT ALL? Can they not just let it go? PLEASE. I swear, we need to see some of these rappers just go out gracefully. The attempt to be youthful with 3LW is just a liiiiiil too R. Kelly, if ya know what I mean!

I really haven't seen that many videos of late (since MTV NEVER shows videos anymore before 2 am) so that's it for me!

Oh Boy (Cam'Ron): The beat is hot. And Cam is a LOT cuter than he used to be... but I'm mad they're making "Oh Boy" into a real cologne. I'm also mad I had to sound out "CO-LOG-NEE" in my head to spell that. :p

Feels Good (Naughty By Nature): I like it, although I think 3LW is doing too much in the video. My favorite part is the very beginning... "Oh, where's my kittycat, where's my kittycat at?" LMAO.... shut up. :p

Just a Friend 2000 (Mario): Please tell me you've seen it. Somebody. Anybody. I am really digging the beat and there is something fresh and appealing about the video.

How Come You Don't Call Me (Alicia): You know how you get a CD and jam a song so long that by the time it comes out you're sick of it? Yeah, pretty much. But I watch it every time just to see the end. "Can you hear me? Can you hear me? Can you hear me? I got hit by a BUS today, baby!!!" CTFU...

Two Wrongs (Wyclef feat. Claudette Ortiz): I really like this song. Claudette is the chick from City High, and I really like her voice. The video is beautiful, except that Wyclef looks (to steal Melody's word) a little GRUSTY, to say the least.

How It's Gonna Be (LovHer): I don't think I like this song. I know I don't like the video. I can't believe Wesley Jonathan trying to be thugged out.. negro please. YOU WILL FOREVER BE OL' DUDE FROM "City Guys" ON NBC SATURDAY MORNINGS. Who is he trying to fool??

Down 4 U (JaRule, Ashanti, Charli Baltimore & Vita): I kinda like the song. As for the video, it's pretty much all about Ja & Ashanti. If I were Charli or Vita, I would be plenty pissed - they seem like they were an afterthought or something. And the throwing up of the SGRho/Murder Inc. sign is getting out of hand.

Day & Night (Issys feat. Jadakiss): I really like this song AND video.

Addictive (Truth Hurts): As my link would say, "This is my CUT!!" I'ma be a bellydancer yet.

okay, so when i saw that it was another little kid, i would change the channel. then one day, there was nothing else worth watching and in a fit of boredom i sat up and watched b.e.t. all day. i saw this video and as much as i tried not to, i fell in love with it! it is such a cute little song and the video reminds me of new edition. (not sure why, but it just does)

UMMM!!! We JUST had a discussion about this chick not too long ago and now her GHETTO video is on 106??? Can I just say POOT STAIN?!?!? I must admit I like Khia's song "my neck, my back" (the clean video version). The video isn't anything to write home about, but it's a catchy song.

Keke Wyatt- "I don't wanna", she has a beautiful voice.

Maybe I am a bit jaded because I hear the nasty version all the time around here. I didn't even know a "clean" version was POSSIBLE! I am mad at the video though.

I agree, it looks like she just took a video of a BBQ in her backyard. But, I must admit the song always gets stuck in my head.

Other videos that I like are:

1. "Down 4 U" feat. Ja Rule, Ashanti, Vita, and Charlie Baltimore (whose part should just be cut out!) :mad:

2. "Hot in Herre" by Nelly- This song just makes me want to get up and dance, and I never really listened to Nelly before

3. "Why Don't We Fall in Love" by Amerie. I just love this song and was finally happy to put a face to the voice.

KHIA "MY NECK MY BACK" Her song is starting to die down here, but Chris Rock was on 106 and Park and was RIGHT ON THE MONEY when he said in the real world, she would get a handshake and the 2 dollar movie from him. I so agree. I do not want to see her strechmarks and her fake leather YMCA hat she has on her head, she is a HOT MESS!

DOWN 4 U If I were Vita and Charlie, I would be so mad at Murder Inc right now. Vita is the real first lady of murder inc and Charlie is in "Down ass Chick" which is part 1 and this is part 2 and it's all about Ashanti. I know Ja Rule is murried and all, but I think a little summin summin is going on with them two:eek:

E-40/FABOLOUS "AUTOMATIC" I like this video, but once again why is Fab spelling his name? He needs to give that up.

JILL SCOTT "GIMMIE" I cannot stand this song, I hate hearing her say "Gimmieeeeee Gimmieeeee Gimmieeee" about a billion times and I don't understand the video, why is she in a hospital talking about "sock it to ya sock it to ya"?

TWEET "CALL ME" This song is gonna be the death of me, I mean damn it's on MTV/BET and she's the spokesperson for Verizon Wireless. But you have to admit, she has one of the best weaves I've ever seen in that video and that's real!:D

B2K "GOTZ TO BE" I'm biased, since they are 4 of the best kids I've ever met, but I must admit(with my old 25 year old self) they look damn good in that video. And I wish a man would say that to me, we could talk about some thangs:p

The Hampton's video is ridiculous, those little boys look like they are about 10 trying to be sexy, and I don't know what they are saying after "you can wear my jacket... something, something, I don't know, but they need to stop cause B2K is holding it down for the young boy bands right now.


I personally like Ashant'is Cd, if anyone else has it please tell me you love the song titled "Baby". I listen to that song all the time. I heard she can't really sing in person though.


And that my neck and my back video is just pitiful, nobody wants to see her gut with all those stretch marks in a video, I don't understand why people would ever vote that video on the countdown.

Ashanti CD is alright. Baby is a good song, but I think that "Dreams" is a cute song due to the fact that the little kids sing along with her. However, I had the chance to see Ashanti sing in person when she came to Syracuse with Ja Rule in December. The concert was WACK!:mad:

I don't know if it was her or the mic but her voice sounded like it was fading. She only sang one song, "Always on Time", because this was before her tape came out. I guess some people are just studio artists.:rolleyes:

Oh yeah, I recently saw 3LW host 106 and Park, with Silk the Shocker (Charge it to the Game was my chiznit in college).

Anyway, someone needs to tell the light skinned sister in 3LW that just because you are skinny doesn't mean that your stomach is firm enough to be sporting a cut-off shirt. Try 8 minute abs. :p

When I initially heard Khia's song "My Neck, My Back". I was too surprised. The video is worse. I couldn't believe people would request that song on 106th and Park until I heard that unedited version...PEOPLE LOVE THAT MESS!!

But, I heard that Khia was murdered last week by her boyfriend. Has anyone else heard this because I'm trying to figure out if it's true or not. Someone called me told me that they announced it on MTV's Hour on the Hour about a week ago. They never mentioned it on 106th and Park though and I can't see them not mentioning it. Someone let me know.

B2K are some young bucks, but they DO look good in "Gotta Be" :p

I'm still fascinated over "Half Crazy" with Musiq and his beautiful hair. I love that video.

And lastly, Puffy "I Need a Girl" Part 2. I guess J-Lo felt bad for him because she left her hubby to hook back up with him...tripped out...

That is my song! Everytime that I see that video I have to stop what I'm doing and start dancing. All of the dancers kill the dances that they do. Especially the girl in the jeans and yellow shirt. Have you ever checked out the faces that she makes while she gets down. They are too funny!

Lil' Sunshine, a friend of mine bought the CD and said that is the only song that is not "tainted". According to her the rest of the album was just like all of those other overrated rap artists that have very little to say except for a few four letter words. :(
