victoria and jonathan make me not want to watch. he was pissing me off so much tonight, especially to Gus and Hera, who i love love love!

I loved it when Gus said that Jonathan is starting to piss him off. My first reaction was "STARTING????" Gus is such a gentleman, that he just lets Jonathan mouth off and says nothing bad in return.

When Jonathan said that he can do amazing things when he got the cop to help him, I wanted to spit at the cop for not findng some reason to arrest him. Please Please let him come in last soon so we don't have to see him acting like the abuser he is.

I didn't know so many GCs have passion on Amazing race. Good job on recapping what happened, polarpi. Fortunately I didn't miss the episode, I was lucky though, flipping through channels before 9pm to find out that the show was on 8 instead of 9. Stupid CBS!

After watching the first half of tonight's "recap" episode of this year's race, here are my thoughts:

Kris was right on about her "ugly American" comments and the lack of culture some of us have when experiencing other ways of life - she's now become my favorite racer!

Jonathan - learn where you're at...it's SENEGAL, not SeneGOG :p

I'd like to see Lori lay the smackdown on Jonathan.

I agree with MUAGD that Jonathan is so bad that it makes me not want to watch the Amazing Race this year. I LOVE Kris and Jon and love Hera and Gus but Jonathan just makes it awful. I cannot WAIT till they are eliminated!
I also missed last week's because of the stupid time change but I am eagerly awaiting the new one.

From now on, I'm using the name that the TWOPers use: KKKendra.

I am glad that actually added things that we hadn't seen and didn't just show clips. I really like Kris now when they were swimming in the water with the children it was so cute. :)

Jonathan, as usual, ticked me off. How does he think it's motivating when his wife is getting sick and all he's saying is "you can't be the drama queen" :confused:

I'm sorry that Freddy got his head hit with the gate (Hera, I think, got it worse), but it was pretty entertaining to see him go off.

I almost threw up watching Freddy eat his own vomit. That was so wrong.

Funny how Lori & Bolo drank that blood without blinking an eye. I couldn't have done it.

I watched my VCR tape of the episode to see if anyone was "pulling" down on the gate. To be honest, I think that idiot Freddy just ran into it, without having sufficient clearance...DUH!

On another note, I have to say I LOVE the attitudes of Kris and Jon-- they ROCK!

Yeah, drinking the blood was pretty gross, but it must have been mixed with something so it wouldn't "congeal" (Yes, my Mom is in the medical-dental profession and she explained THAT to me...eeeew). I'm not sure that I could have done it.

I'm bummed about Gus and Hera, because none of the other teams really appeal to me very much, although Kris and Jon are pretty cool. I love Aaron too but can't for the life of me understand why he wants to be with Hayden who is bitchy as all hell and also NOT CUTE ENOUGH FOR HIM.

We can all agree that Jonathan is an idiot, I have the dim glimmer that perhaps tonight he will not be a jerk to anyone (i know, don't get me started, but I do :( )

They've had food eating competitions like this before (even before fear factor, I just remember that fish soup I think in Thailand, the very first season).

I am very upset about Gus and Hera, but I loved his qoute, "My Daughter will always be my Daughter, But now My Daughter is My Friend"......I think what made me love them was the Beer Road Block.....I will miss them very, very much.

I have to see who will emerge as my new fav, because to tell you the truth, none have.....I like individuals.

My favorites were Gus and Hera, but now that they're gone, I'm rooting for the Blandies (Kris and Jon). They'd better not start praying at every roadblock, otherwise I'll start to hate them too. Second favorites: Wrestlemania. I wanna be Lori minus the implants.


I'm really surprised that El Hornio (Adam) didn't threaten to throw himself off the bridge when Rebecca didn't want to go out with him. Maybe his whiny ass will drown in the dive suit next week, but it'll be just my luck that he'll be saved by his freakishly long toenails which have grown because his mommy isn't around to cut them for him.

Now that I'm starting to think the whole Jonathan/Victoria thing is an act, I can't even muster up enough energy to hate him. I just think he's incredibly pathetic.

Right, and the food challenges have always been linked to the culture, just like they were last night. It seems like they've always been things that Americans would find gross but that locals would either consider normal (although maybe in larger portions than would be normal, like the soup last night or the caviar last season); challenges to show one's strength, courage or power (like the pig's blood); or maybe even delicacies.

Hate it that Gus and Hera are gone.

As always, I wanted Jonathan and Victoria to lose, but I only want them to lose when it is his fault, not hers.

I'll be bummed if anyone but Kris and Jon or Hayden and Aaron win this race.

/hijack it was funny to do backpacking after hooking up with Amazing Race. You always can relate anything you do with the show: eating weird stuff in Bandung, doing Bungee Jumping in Bali, buying plane tickets to Kuala Lumpur, riding bus to Singapore ;)

Not only is Jonathan a creep, but last night Victoria showed that she is just obnoxious when it is Jonathan's turn to do a Roadblock. I was so hoping that they would lose yesterday, not that I mind the departure of Hayden and Aaron. I think I hear more "Baby" last night than I have heard total for the entire show. What an irritating sound coming from those 2.

yea, Victoria plays the victim well (and she may well be) but she also is just as bad, the insistent whining :mad: as her husband, they almost deserve each other. I no longer have any sympathy for her. Don't get me wrong, I still think Jonathan is an a$$hole.

I really don't have any favorites any longer, I'm just enjoying the ride......and all the whinny girls :rolleyes: .

This show has been on for a while, they should have a pretty good idea how it works and the stress involved, people need to sit down and be honest in how they react in certain situations, so when that reaction arises, there should not be that much of a surprise.

Why, oh WHY did last night's episode have to be an NEL? I would've been happy if either J&V or H&A went home, because they are both SUPER annoying (and F&K are just as bad - the "model" alliance, please :rolleyes: )

Next week will prove to be very interesting, with Victoria freaking out, Kendra screaming at Jonathan to go help her, etc, etc. :p

I can't believe I am saying this but Kendra was actually likeable yesterday. She really can be when she's having fun with things.

-Kris and Jon
-Lori and Bolo
-Adam and Rebecca (this team is kind of growing on me. And I definitely like them better than the other three!)

Those are my top 3 too. I really wanted it to be an elimination round. I can't take Hayden and her constant freaking out. The model alliance has to go. They also need to have route markers at places that stay open 24/7. It's not as exciting when everyone can catch up at one place.

I was so hoping that Jonathon would continue to be thwarted in that water skimming activity, but alas, 'twas not to be.:( I want them GONE!

Those Top 3 teams (as listed above) are mine as well. I hate Freddy and I can't stand Hayden, although, to be honest, if I was with someone who was all "tra la la" skipping through the tulips in The Amazing Race, I would be spazzing too (I can be a bit TYPE A that way...sigh).

I realize that Freddy and Kendra are "models" and Hayden & Aaron are in on the Model Alliance, but to be honest, I think that Jon and Kris are a helluva cuter and nicer than all 4 of them!

I can't stand Jonathan! He's so rude & cruel and seems to be getting worse as the weeks go on. Victoria's no prize either. Time to get them out of here followed by Hayden & Aaron. Let's get rid of all the drama, whining, and freaking out ASAP.

From the previews they had showed before this weeks episode it had looked like Jonathan and Victoria might be gone bc they were screaming about getting lost whie in the boat. Oh well as long as they don't win or if they do maybe they can get some major marriage consuling with the money.

If I had to pick a dream Top three, I'd agree with Sister Havana's picks (so maybe we'll luck out and those will be the top three :D)...however, the only one's I'll actually root for are Kris and Jon - Lori and Bolo are too "gloaty" when they do good, and Adam and Rebecca just bug me - I think a lot of it is how clingy Adam is.

But everyone else just needs to get Philiminated ;)

I was SO glad tonight was an elimination - I was a little worried when Rebecca and Adam yielded Freddy & Kendra (although I don't like them, either :p), especially when Jonathan & Victoria made the major mistake of NOT reading their clue that well. Did they not think anything of it when catching up with the other teams and they had two donkeys?!?!

Next week, I hope the model alliance breaks in half!

Ms. MysticCat and I were cheering at the end. Sooo glad that Mr and Ms Crazy-Disfunctional are gone. Maybe they can get some much-needed counseling now. They might want to bring Adam Hornboy along for some, too.

I still have have Kris and Jon and Aaron and Hayden as my top teams. Kris and Jon are just all around great, while Aaron and Hayden are (usually) smart racers. You got to hand it to them too for moving from last place with no money to first place. Hayden seemed to chill out this week and pick up some of Aaron's laid-back vibe -- the trip to St George's seemed to do her some good, too.
