No, No. I'm high risk. We have a scheduled delivery 2 weeks before I'm due. I am on blood thinners and cannot go into labor. So if there even a shadow of a doubt that I won't make it to the 4th, I will stop meds early and we will have him sooner. For my life and his, this has to be controlled.

Well, I will keep you in my prayers, you and your little one, Sherra. May Peace and blessings be heaped upon you and your family!!!!
|
Alright mommas, What is going on with your little ones?
How big is everyone now? How big are the babies weighing in? Did you pass your 1 hr Gtt? Do you have any concerns we need to remember in prayers? L&L, Sherra 1. I am +1 lb since my pre pregnancy weight 2. Case is weighing at 3lbs 3 ozs so far. 3. I failed my 1 hr and had my 3 hr yesterday. I still don't know the results. 4. I'm still praying the results come back negative for the 3 hr. And, that everything continues to go as well as it has so far. |
Sherra, What's a Gtt? Is that a glucose test???????
|
Yes ma'am. :D
|
OK-
1) I am 7 lbs over my pre-pg weight 2) I think he's just over a pound 3) My Gtt is in Jan 4) No particular concerns- I've stopped throwing up! Skerbow, I'll pray for you and your Gtt results! |
I PASSED!!!!! Thank goodness! THank you all for your wonderful vibes. I've had a really rough week and it is nice to finally hear some good news.
|
Congratulations, Ladies!! No puking, no gestational diabetes is WONDERFUL news!!!
|
Bad news. My nurse missread my results. So I failed 2 of the 4 tests, bairly. So now i have Gestational Diabetes. I'm not happy about this and this has quite reuined my day. Thanks for letting me vent.

Oh Sherra, I'm so sorry. That really stinks about failing your 3hr test. Two of my friends had gestational diabetes and they said that it really wasn't that bad. Basically, you just eat healthy food and test your blood sugar several times throughout the day. One of them was deathly afraid of needles, but she said the little test didn't hurt at all. I'll keep you and Baby Case in my prayers.

Okay, to answer the other questions ...
1) I have gained 21lbs, and I am so swollen that I look like the Michelin Tire Man. 2) As of my u/s on Monday, he appears to weigh 5lbs, 7oz. They also moved my due date up one week to January 10th. I really wish that he could be here for Christmas. My doctor said that anything 37 weeks and beyond was full term, and I'll be 37 weeks on December 20th. 3) I failed my 1hr test, but passed my 3hr one. 4) No particular concerns, other than a smooth labor and delivery and a healthy baby! |
I did fail my 3 hr, but barely. I am going to request to retake it. I have shown no signs of GD and dont' really want that stigma. I know it isn't horrible, but with me being high risk already, this is just one more thing I don't want to worry about during the next 8 weeks. (yes, only 8 left) Is it wrong to ask for a rest? I really think the only reason I failed my fasting by a few points was because I didn't fast for a full 12 hours. My nurse told me from 11pm on and test at 7am, but I don't think that is really enough, especially if you had a nice carb-filled dinner. It may seem like a stretch, but it would give me piece of mind. If i fail again, there is nothing I can do. i do daily injections already, so my fear of needles has been cured. I just don't think my numbers were high enough to warrent checking them three times a day. We'll see how my doc feels on Monday. We will be having a LONG talk about several things. She's been looking for a problem since day one and now she has found one, or so she thinks. Please pray each of you that she will let me retake the test.
|
Sherra,
Were you able to have that talk with your doctor today? What happened at your appointment?? |
I did get to talk with her, and I did get to retake the 1 hr fasting draw. But, she said she wasn't going to treat me any differently regardless of the results. So, they are more for my benefit than hers. This morning I have my diabetic class and we'll see how things go. Grrrr.

I would just like to ask you to please pray for me and for Baby Bryce, please. I just got out of the hospital. I've got toxemia/preeclampsia and I'm on bedrest now. My blood pressure was 160/110, and I've gained 20 lbs of fluid in the past month. I have to go to the doctor twice a week now to be monitored, and depending on my blood pressure, they may or may not have to induce labor.
I'm so ashamed of myself for wishing that he would be here for Christmas. I never meant for him to come early this way. |
AWe, don't be hard on yourself. You didn't wish this to happen. Just take care of yourself and that baby boy. You both will be in my prayers.
|
(((((((((Ashley)))))))))))
You and baby Bryce are DEFINITELY in my prayers! You just take care of you, and everything else will fall into place as it should. |

CONGRATULATIONS MEAZIE!!!!!!!!!

Baby Bryce is here!!! I had him on December 28, 2004, at 8:51 p.m. He weighed 7lbs, 11oz, and was 21 inches long. My L&D story isn't the best, so I'll spare y'all the details. He is absolutely the cutest baby in the entire world, and he's so sweet. My only complaint is that I'm sleep deprived, but some of that is my fault. I have a hard time sleeping when he's sleeping because I wake up constantly to check on him.
How is everyone else coming along?? |
WELCOME TO THE WORLD, BABY BRYCE!!!!!!
I'm so happy for y'all!!!! |

Not to sound morbid, but that is the day my grandmother passed away...she passed 3 hours prior to that...maybe he got to meet her for a brief moment-- passed by each other ;)!! Congrats again and give that baby a tight squeeze for me! |
