It makes more sense to me. If you came here and ordered a coke, that is exactly what you would get. I asked my friend in Oregon why they call it that and his answer, "I don't know, I guess because that is the sound the can makes when you open it." I laughed for about an hour. |
I think in the South, it's more like, "Hey, do you want a Coke?"
"Sure, what do you have?" "I've got Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and Dr. Pepper." "OK, I'll have a Sprite." |
All types of sodas to me is coke. i was raised on coke.
