I order what I want too. I'm not a big SODA (that is what its called) drinker to begin with but when I do order one I don't say: "I'd like a soda" I say "I'd like a Sprite". It makes more sense to me. If you came here and ordered a coke, that is exactly what you would get. People would think you were nuts if you complained later that you meant sprite.

oh and I can't help but giggle everytime I hear it referred to as pop. I asked my friend in Oregon why they call it that and his answer, "I don't know, I guess because that is the sound the can makes when you open it." I laughed for about an hour.

I think in the South, it's more like, "Hey, do you want a Coke?"

"Sure, what do you have?"

"I've got Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and Dr. Pepper."

"OK, I'll have a Sprite."

Now, whenever I'm home, I can't even run errands without feeling like I will die in traffic. The Avenue east Cobb was built about a mile from my house, and it's always so busy around that area now! But I can't complain. I love having a Gap, AE, Borders, Abercrombie, etc. all nearby.

LOL, nothing beats FULTON County with Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square. ;)

And I would vote for "pop". Ironically, I would eat grits with pop.
