I was just on Fox.com and came across the Margaret Perrin bobblehead on sale on Ebay: item # 6225867209
Also from the Fox message board, reportedly the other couple got a divorce. :( |

That "Christian " lady was absolutely crazy. I've never seen an adult behave that way before. That was just hilarious. |

Did anyone watch Wife Swap last night? It was another Christian/atheist swap. The Christians were a much better representation of Christians than ol' crazy Margaret. I was trying to see if I could figure out where the Atlanta couple lived. I found the husband to be really interesting and weak. While Atlanta is a pretty "churchy" town (most people ask you where did you go to school and where do you go to church when playing Negro geography), there are a lot of heathens here too! LOL
|
Yes. I saw it as well. The athiest husband was a bit "strange" to me. The wife was too.
I'm glad the "christian" family saw that the daughter needed girlie time. I couldn't believe she didn't have any church girlfriends. It seemed like the church was relatively new. I guess that was the congregation of like 20 people. |

I thought it was interesting to see the African-american family that were athiests. They were definitely an interesting couple.
The thing that makes me upset is the fact that these families sign up for these shows and then when it comes time to change the rules they don't want to obey them. Whether or not you agree with what the other family believes in, I think the participants need to be more open and willing to follow the other rules. I think it is pointless for them to do the show if they aren't gonna agree to the rule change. |

I don't know about the t-shirt one, though, LOL. |
LOL yeah that T-shirt thing was a little weird cause didn't she want him to wear it everyday or something.
I think the families need to also be considerate when asking the other families to do things, also. Cause I think that lady wanted him to wear it all the time. I did like that she wanted him to talk to his children without referring to God. He should have tried harder to do this. |
I think there is a difference between being open to debate and being asked to completely abandon your core beliefs.
Having a discussion on evolution with the kids - go for it - they have to learn it in school anyway. Being told to wear a shirt with God crossed out - nah...never. What got me was how much of a punk the husband (of the athiest family was)! You don't want to believe in God that's your business but be able to back up why - don't break down when the swap wife questions the way you run your house. It made NO sense that the oldest child was basically running the house while the lazy arse wife played video games...and you think you are doing nothing wrong & bust into tears when told to man up? I felt so bad for that boy - I hope now that the show aired she is shamed to get off her behind and act like the adult she is suppossed to be. |
Athiest Hubby
I thought he was also. I didn't want to be the one to say so. :o ;) :D
Did the eldest (athiest) son attend school? Do any of you know of any Af Ams who are athiest?  |
I thought the black wife was lazy and selfish. She sends her kids to day care to play sims on her pc all day and then make her son do all the chores. That just makes no sense. I know many women who dont have to work would spend time with their children at home instead of sending them to day care. I understand that it's good for kids to be around other children. But why pay someone to watch your kids when you have more than enough time to take care of them yourself.
That poor boy did everything and all the mother did was play sims? give me a break. duly disapointed in them and she should have been embarrassed that she contributed little to nothing to their family and the christian wife contributed so much. |
I felt so bad for that little boy... he was so lonely.
And his parents... Good grief. |

I could see her point though, although I think it would have been better to go do some atheist meeting or listen to her husband radio show or something. I think I would have done that, but wear a shirt with God crossed out. Naw patnah....Imma pass on that one! |
^^^^ I think she said something about walking around in public with the shirt on to see what it feels like to be discriminated against for being atheist. But she was just whack all around cuz she never explained it in a way were he could see the purpose. Wearing a tshirt that says I love jesus doesn't make you christian just like wearing a shirt with gods name crossed out make you a sinner....in my opinion i.e....it's not like the shirt is changing who you are as a person and what you believe.
what yall think? |
So was I wrong for laughing at the atheist hubby's temper tantrum?
He kicked the stuffed puppy across the floor and audibly sobbed off camera. :o That puppy did nothing to him. I usually don't find it funny when a man shows his true emotions, but he was being a big ol' punk. Why should he care if a woman thinks he won't be successful because he doesn't believe in God? Where's the baby powder so we can straighten him out? |

I agree. My father and I were watching him, yelling at the television "MAN UP!!!" LOL |

The Dancy house is GORGEOUS!!
Mrs. Wopperer is too lazy! She had the nerve to say that she didn't feel like working. WTF? The Dancy's are totally grossed out by her, but they are very gracious, So far, they are dealing with her. I don't think that Mrs. Dancy will make it in the Wopperer home. You can barely understand what the dad is saying. The dude needs SUBTITLES! What kind of mess is that? His teeth are mising and he looks as if he doesn't bathe.... The house is a filthy, dirth mess! I feel sorry for Mrs. Dancy. I could never sign up for the show because if I wound up somewhere like the Wopperer home, I wouldn't make it!!! ETA: She should feel like a loser because she is! Depending on her children and making a teen pay for over $200 worth of groceries.... DO SOMETHING BESIDES CHAIN SMOKE ALL DAY!!! I PRAY that Mrs. Dancy allocates some money for Mr. Wopperer to get his teeth fixed!! YUCK!!! |
I'm mad she asked the oldest Dancy son to pay for the groceries!!

And between 3-4 grown people in the house, no one can seem to manage a $300 rent?? What a bunch of busters. |

Drat! I missed last night's show because I was working late dealing with a stupid sexual harassment situation. Sometimes I hate being in HR. |

Did anyone see the "God Warrior" on Jay Leno last night? I woke up as it was going off and she was on there.
Yeah, miss "Who is Malcolm X is going to be interesting in Harlem. I hate it when folks think they are better than others because they make more money, live in a nice house, etc. The Darcys (except Chris who made out like a BANDIT!) saw the Wooperers (what kinda name is that??) as a big charity case and the dad obviously thought the wife had nothing of value to offer. |
 at the new mom (in Harlem) not wanting to go across the street for coffee because she didn't see any white people!!
the white dad is treating the new mom like a maid - help me with my laundry, make sure the girls made the bed, here's the vaccuum - WTH his wife has a maid? Where's the maid? ETA: I'm mad she call Harlem a completely foreign land! |
i watched last night
i was cracking up at octavia watching these overpriviledged girls. i am mad that the white mom was scurred to cross the street. CLASSIC.

I'm really mad that the dad is all about this kid "Cash Flow" and his career, but he doesn't say anything to him about being an hour late for the magazine meeting. This kid must think he's Usher or Bow Wow. You are NOT an established artist. You are TRYING to be established, and I'm sure this will not win him over with other media outlets. Lil busta.... Why did the white mom take the Malcolm X questions further with, "Did he ride the bus?" :o :o |
