Yall, this is a hot bloody mess. However I did get some laughs off of yall's lines (esp, CT4), and they brightened an otherwise crappy day LOL.

All I know is, if this is NOT a joke...yellowflower, you betta watch out, because these sister greeks, nor any others, DO NOT play games with their letter. Someone WILL find you, and YOU WILL NOT BE A DELTA! I can claim that, and those aren't even my letters :D

LYING GETS YOU NOWHERE BUT FURTHER BEHIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sistergreeks, I share in your disgust at the size of her balls to actually come in here and say this mess.  :o   :(

sorry folks but this one is too much for me!!! if i waited, paid, and i worked for delta then i have no pity for those who didn't. YOU ARE NOT MY SOROR!!!!!

AMEN!

I have a high tolerance level, but I have NO tolerance for this kinda crap. This person may think she can get over, but the world becomes mighty small when you start perpetrating. Someone will find you out and will tell.

We may wear different colors, but when it comes to perps we band together. The NHPC universe is tightknit. We are family, literally and figuratively. I have aunts and cousins -- let alone my close sisterfriends -- who are Deltas, and we do talk.

I suggest you rethink what you're doing. Maybe you can succeed in about 15 lifetimes (NOT), but it will not be this one.

Geesh.

I agree, man it could get ugly.

But I understand the real Deltas pain. I was wondering if old gurl pledged other people. My line was pledged by a perp and I didn't find out until the end of my NEO year when I went to his "supposed" home chapter at Morehouse. But don't fret, Spring 99 will meet with this young man again.

Shortfuse 07-30-2004 02:47 PM

but I will add,

you should get an academy award for being able to pull this off and from what I undersand, you still got people close to you fooled:rolleyes:

StrangeFruit 07-30-2004 09:40 PM

This is one reason why sorors should ensure that people they meet are legit, by "dappin" each other up like the fraternity brothahs do. I notice that sorority members just hung each other, while fraternity brothahs check legimaticy (sp?) by their secret handshake (along with other methods/challenges).

Perpin ain't easy when you don't have ALL the right information.

Sistahgreek, whenever you read RainMan's quotes, just remember that he's a HUGE gameshow fan, and that should help you some.

Boom_Quack13 08-01-2004 01:23 PM

I am so mad right now. I am a neo, so it is still very fresh on my mind the sacrifices I made and the things I went through in order to be a Delta. I've still got sand between my toes, but I'm about to transfer this sand from between my toes right up her @55! How dare she have the audacity to perp my beloved sisterhood! You will never be a Delta, and I say this with confidence in knowing that my sorors will see right through you.

Just the fact that you are willing to perp shows that you seek Delta for the wrong reasons. You want the "prestige" of being a Delta, but you don't want to work for it. That you would lie to make yourself look better shows your lack of self-esteem. A lack of self-esteem is not characteristic of a Delta woman. Even if--and if is a big ol' word--you do become a Delta, you will never be a soror. You will get no respect or love. And what's the purpose of being in a sisterhood, if you are an outcast. You are scum, dirt, trash, sh!+, and all of the other dirty things that I can think of. There is no room in Delta for trash like you. I hate that I even have to breathe the same air as a spineless, lying, troll-hearted wimp as yourself.

Somebody PLEEEEEASE find out who this trashy waste of flesh is, so we can have her handled properly.

Oh, and since your husband loves Deltas so much, maybe I'll set him up with a real soror after he has man'd up and dumped your trifling butt!

nikki1920 08-01-2004 01:40 PM

Who in the HELL left the Gate open?!! Do you know how many Deltas there are? Do you know those sistas DON'T FREAKING PLAY WITH THEIR LETTERS?????!!! You are dumb as hell to come on GC and talk about "yeah, I lied for 6 years about being a Delta, guess its time for me to be one for real". I hope they find you. And you are dumb to the infinite power for thinking that you'll be a Delta even if you do confess all this mess!!! What kind of schitt are you smoking?!! As a Fab Four member, I hope the Deltas find you and kick your butt from here to eternity.. you've got some mf nerve, heffa....

Public Service Announcement

Sorors, Fellow Greeks of the NPHC, NPC, IFC, etc. etc. etc., and respective interests, allow me to say just a few words.

1. To all of my sorors and greeks in the NPHC,
YellowFlower is not the only person doing this and thinking this way. She is just one of many to step forward. I know it is maddening, frustrating, mind-blowing, exasperating, etc. to read her words and know that real or not, folks really do feel this way. We know why we joined Delta or whatever org you chose and to see others shortcut their way into the fold can hurt, but I just ask us, the ones who really joined, to remember the ideals of our orgs.

2. Also, please please work to make sure that this year (if this policy is not in place) that all members show their MEMBERSHIP CARDS and DRIVER's LICENSE or another official pictorial identification card to gain access to meetings. We can see already how easy it is for folks to claim membership to orgs. Unless we ask to see PROOF, we never know who could be sitting in our meetings. Even someone who has been sitting up in meetings for years, might not have the credentials to be doing so.

3. Also to our collegiate sorors and fellow collegiate Greeks, it is easy for folks to transfer from one school to another claiming that they pledged last spring at XYZ college but demand proof. Call that chapter's president or the regional officers or national officers to have PROOF that Cleetisha Wilkerson really did join Delta at Sidewalk State University and can legitimately become active with the Delta chapter at University of Sidewalks.

4. Finally, no matter how much a person can irritate, aggravate, or just plain old piss us off, please let us not call them anything rhyming with ITCH but starts with the first consonant.:( I cannot tell you what to think, but please respect yourself and this forum enough not to go there with that person.

I thank you all for your participation in the Delta forum and welcome your continued participation in the future. :)

One can only assume you are referring to Yellowflower, even though yes, I did ride the short bus in 2nd and 3rd grade (and was promoted to Gifted and Talented in 4th and 5th grade). Go figure.

Now back to our regularly scheduled Delta Riot.

Do you think the Rose Bowl stadium is big enough to fit enough fit all of the ladies who'd like to see this? Or do you think there's a need for Jumbotron screens in the parking lots.

All kidding aside, yellowflower get yourself to a mental health specialist.

And became chapter president and attended a national convention as the voting delegate. But she had forged all of her credentials and changed her name and became a school superintendent. The school system in which she was an administrator finally caught her.

Her whole life was a lie (even her daughter didn't know the truth) and it sounds like Yellowflower is following suit.

This is amazing (as has been this whole thread). In our chapter we tell neos all the time "do not roll out wearing letters or 'nalia unless you know your stuff because you'll be seen and YOU MOST DEFINITELY WILL BE CHALLENGED!" At conventions, I've seen seargeant-at-arms, and other "ole heads," who run into bruhs who don't know what they should. After "dealing" with the bruh, their next question is usually "now who made you? and where is your Dean?"

Yellowflower cleary needs prayer and counseling as her issues go farrrrr deeper than DST, IMO. But in a way, her story points to the "mysteries" and "secrets" behind all our orgs. They may look odd to outsiders, but there is a reason we do what we do.....

See this is one difference I've noticed between fraternities and sororities. I don't think women challenge or grip one another as much as men do. However, I believe that its a small world. If I don't know someone who knows you I WILL call IHQ for confirmation.

I know they can do something if they have the IP address, I got some harassing emails once at school, and the person I talked to told me that they could pinpoint the exact computer and as I knew the time sent, they could find out who was on it at that time (due to logs, or who works at that computer, etc.) I didn't end up pursuing it as the person stopped sending the emails, but if Greekchat can get their IP that could be the start of the end for this chick, depending on how much work you want to put into her getting her just desserts.

Unfortunately, she hasn't actually violated the TOS, so I am not sure that John can go giving out her IP.

Okay, I am playing on hypotheticals here, and just wondering, but you can tell me to STFU if I am asking too many questions...

Assuming:
1. This story is true
2. Yellowflower is mentally unstable, in a manner that can be clinically diagnosed

Would she ever be considered for membership if she got help/meds/whatever, or would you still be as angry as you are now?

It is hard for me to view it from the NPHC perspective, because we all know that the NPC recruitment and pledging processes are very different, and in many cases we don't have to "earn" our letters in the same way.

Personally, I don't go around gripping people who claim to be my soror. I don't see the grip as a real challenge. It is something special amongst known sorors. I'm not one to challenge people anyway. I'm a neo. But there would definitely be proper checks before allowing someone into a chapter meeting. My best friend, who is your soror, had to ask me to leave her house once when I took a Zeta perp to meet her. I had no idea that the girl was perping. She's my cousin's fiance'!!! That was my first time personally witnessing a perp situation. That was before I was a Delta. I thought that my friend may have taken things too far. But when I got my letters and ran up on a couple of perp situations, I felt her. I don't think perps really understand the magnitude of what they are doing. They know it's wrong, but they don't know how deeply wrong it is.

I believe if a chapter found out a girl was wearing nalia and hanging out, they really couldn't do much about it in the NPC. If that girl were to transfer to another school, unless she put out a memo, we'd never know it. With over 1,000 pnm's going through recruitment, it is very unlikely she'd be figured out. She may very well join at another school and there's not really much we could do.

But we don't freek out as bad about wearing different letters. Our recruitment shirts have ALL NPC groups on them. I wear my boyfriends letters and he wears mine and no one cares. It's just different. That's why the previous poster asked what she did. It's looked at a little differently.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to GreekChat and am really enjoying the posts.

It appears to me that your outrage regarding this misguided young lady is similar to the outrage exhibited by my brothers and sisters of the law when someone is found to be engaged in the unauthorized practice of law. In our case, this person is taking money out of our pockets and possibly making the profession look bad if they are giving out bad advice. I look forward to one day joining an organization such as Delta where there is such fierce loyalty and pride. Pray for her and be gentle in showing her the errors of her ways. Don't put too much of a whoopin' on her behind! ;)
