Its completely relevant since the Republicans and their supporters can't seem to make it through the day without making a 'Ted Kennedy needs to drive Hillary Clinton home' remark. If you are going to make one sides driving records and the ensuings deaths a part of the campaing, then its only fair that BOTH sides are publicized.
I actually haven't heard too many of those comments, except by a few nuts (Howie Carr, etc.) who don't represent the entire party.

I will agree that Ted Kennedy doesn't belong in this discussion, as he's not a first lady or a candidate. However, Kennedy and Laura Bush's cases are VERY different, and I'm not sure your comparison of them can be made.

As far as the picture...eh it was just a bad angle, that's happened to everyone.

I heart you Cream because you always say goofy things when they are most needed. :)

Ditto everything that Dani said about the Trib - I'm a Republican, but they are a little to the right of Barry Goldwater & Rush Limbaugh combined. I really hate that there isn't a paper in town I can stomach (the Post-Gazette is a continuing Mayor Murphy lovefest, ugh). At any rate this isn't Teresa getting mad at an impartial reporter - it's a reporter whose employer wants him to get negative things about Democrats. I'd rather drink with her, but I think I'd rather go shopping with Laura.

I think that the Bush twins should go out with Teresa's exceptionally yummy sons. :D

When I read the Herald I run across his column - but I usually can't get through it, he's WAY too over the top. It can be kind of disgusting sometimes how he gets.

Don't worry, I'm definitely not a fan.

my mom listens to him. my dad and i want to shoot ourselves in the head when she tries to turn it on with us in the room or the car. we usually win that battle with her.

I love it! When my roomie was expecting her son, we had a baby shower with a cake that said, "Rick O'Shea is on the way!"

Teresa Heinz

CatStarESP4 07-29-2004 01:13 AM

I would choose Teresa Heinz Kerry

Pike1483 07-29-2004 03:36 AM

Laura Bush all the way. Way prettier, and she seems like a geniunely nice person, whereas Kerry just seems a little whacky.

steelepike 07-29-2004 12:42 PM

That Heinz Kerry lady scares me just a bit

i know this is weird but she has swayed my vote over to Bush

Wow. Your choice of course, but I can't imagine a candidate's wife making that big of a difference.

well i needed a reason to pick from the lesser of two evils...

A guy too liberal for my tastes and a guy who is pissing off his own party by going back on his word

bethany1982 07-29-2004 10:09 PM

Today one of the dem talking heads said he wants Kerry as pres. and Laura Bush to remain as first lady. I didn't catch the guy's name, but I thought it was funny.

bamabelle005 07-29-2004 10:41 PM

Yo Bro,

Are you implying that Bush went back on his word? If so, please give examples. And how did he piss off his party? Myself, along with all the republicans I know think he's doing a great job.

I know a Republican who thinks George W. Bush is the biggest embarassment to your party ever. Some people in the midwest know him as a pension fund manager. I know him as Grandpa. He wants to know if his glasses are hiding where those WMDs are supposed to be.

Well if his glasses are broken and destroyed, they might be hidden in the WMD destruction sites.

That is all.

XOMichelle 07-30-2004 12:18 PM

Teresa!
I gotta love the liberal. Laura Bush and I would sit across a table from eachother and stare. Teresa has gumption.

well my dad and i do wood working in the garage on the weekend and when he takes time off and in those conversations we talk about politics and life. My Dad and i listen to political talk shows mainly the conservative slanted shows and we are always hearing about how he has upset the some members of the party and even some Republicans are seriously thinking of not backing him in the coming election. I for one am not proud that we went to war with WMD as the reason when we all know the real reason was to get Sadam's reign of terror ended and such. Come out and tell the truth, its better that way isn't it. We have wanted him out since the Early 90s an now we got a chance to go after him. We went into Iraq cause it was the only was the UN would let us with out Sanctions and such. Sure most Republicans would rather have him in the House than any Democrat just like all Democrats want anyone but Bush. But if they could seriously get the white house without Bush they would do it.

I could get some more research if you want but thats all i got of the top of my head.
