I had an Accord; I'm getting a new car around October-ish, but I don't know what I want ... any suggestions for something small and affordable, but that isn't ugly and won't break down on me?

Rudey 07-26-2006 02:55 PM

When you drive that Jetta, do you put your penis in the glove compartment or the trunk?

I drive a black 2001 Ford Explorer Sport, but I don't have a picture to share :(

I bought it on Saturday, September 8, 2001 and I wanted different tires put on it and a small paint chip fixed. I was told it would be ready Tuesday. So Tuesday rolls around and...major bummer. I finally called the dealership and told them I was too depressed to come in that day and pick it up, and they said that was OK 'cuz they were closing early because hardly anyone had come in, and those who did looked up at the TV screen and ended up turning around and leaving. I ended up finally going in a few days later.

I'll definitely want another Explorer when this one passes away. I love it! :)

scbelle 07-26-2006 04:41 PM

I currently drive a '98 Honda Passport. Before I leave Germany, I'm getting my very first *new* car. Not a Mercedes, because I watched a documentary about how they used slave labor from the concentration camps, and I can't handle that. And not a BMW, because according to the Germans, those are s%$# cars.
So it's going to be the brand new Volvo C70... silver, convertible, beautiful... and safe to boot!

ZetaLuvBunny 07-26-2006 04:42 PM

I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla, black. I love it. It gets nearly 40mpg!

I could only find a pic of a red one.. but you get the idea.

I drive a 2006 Ford Escape - gray with black leather interior. I love it!

smiley21 07-27-2006 02:27 PM

I drive a 2004 2 door Honda Accord. I want a 2006 Infiniti G 35 or a 2006 BMW 330i. I wish I could have a 2007 BMW 3 series. Those are so hot. I actually might get the Infiniti or BMW 330i. Yeah, I know....I am spoiled. :p

Random timing, but I drive a 2004 platinum G35 sedan (named Blondie :p).

kstar 08-02-2006 01:26 PM

I just got, as in bought Monday, picked up yesterday, a 2005 Honda CR-V, it was used but it only has 6,000 miles on it. I also have a 1968 VW Beetle that has been passed down since my grandfather bought it brand new.

Rudey 08-02-2006 04:12 PM

I have the 66GT in yellow with black gt stripes on the sides. I like it but I think i'll sell it within a year.

I have to update my answer to this. I now drive NOTHING. My car died on Friday.. engine is caput. Now I have to find me another car and I wasn't ready financially for this. I've decided to get a used car for around $10K and, when my daughter starts driving in 3.5 years, she can have it and I'll get something that I really want then.

KSUViolet06 04-08-2007 09:46 PM

I drive a silver 2007 Toyota Corolla (just got it in January).

In 5 years, after I have finished grad school and been working for a couple of years, I'd like to upgrade to something nice like a C class Mercedes.

Knowing all of the crazies on the internets these days, I find this thread creeptastic!

I'm so not giving the details of what my car looks like.

This is the kind of car and color I bought about eight weeks ago...

It's a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Because I can't afford one of these:
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...17_40_full.jpg
It's a Porsche 911T.

But I think they look a little alike...

And, I can't imagine the 911 drives "much" better than the Eclipse. My car goes around corners like it's on rails.

MJo19 04-08-2007 10:09 PM

I drive a 2007 red Pontiac G5 GT. I would like a GTO or an Impala SS, but both of those were out of the price range.

cheerfulgreek 04-09-2007 11:03 AM

I drive a 95' M3 but I want a Mini Cooper S.

AlphaFrog 04-09-2007 11:11 AM

I got this about a month ago:
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...02/Tracker.jpg

It was my last chance to own one with low miles, since they stopped making the Tracker in 2004...and I needed more trunk space than my Aveo. I had wanted a Tracker since I was 16...it's a great size - it's still a SUV, but it fits into compact parking spots.

I've since traded down to a Ninja 250:D http://www.hondawest.com/Images/04Mo...250_Silver.jpg
I HATE the color (halloween black and orange) but the price was right and my 500 covered the cost of the 250. I'm going to paint it powder blue with little pink flowers on it. :)

I'm seriously considering the BMW Z3 or Z4.

I have a 2005 honda civic, manual transmission. I love it! it gets great gas mileage (40/gallon)
it would be nice to have an Audi A8 though.... My mom has a 1995 toyota celica convertible- its in great condition and i get to drive that from time to time... that is nice :)

dekeguy 04-10-2007 12:32 PM

Still driving my old Jag XJ6 4.2 litre. She is a restored '84, British Racing Green with chocolate leather interior, burled walnut dash, and twin tanks. Factory rebuilt engine and goes like a scalded dog. I got her over ten years ago, had her refurbished and added US specs by M&M Garage in Iver Heath, England, and she is in near perfect condition. With luck I will keep her going indefinitely, or at least until Hell freezes over.

Me BMW 330i
Hubby Toyota Landcruiser
Daughters 18 & 20 VW Jetta and Beetle
15 yo Son (learner's permit) looking for a Toyota 4runner
13 yo Son mountain bike, skateboard, scooter;)

I like cars, but I'm actually happy with what we have right now. We have no plans to get rid of any of them anytime soon...if we can keep the d@mn volkswagens running. The girls wanted them, but they are both pieces of cr@p.

I initially wanted a 5 series BMW wagon, but the salesman read me like a book and showed me the 330i and the wagon idea went out the window. I drove the LC for a couple of years and hubby had another SUV, but I got tired of having to be selective in my parking spots, so he got that and I got a new car.

If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.:D

afboiler 04-10-2007 08:47 PM

I got a 2007 jeep commander a few months ago...I LOVE IT

How do you like yours.......I really enjoy it. I've always driven Tahoes and this one just seems to be quite a bit better than what I have had in the past. Better ride, larger interior.

I love it. My father has always had a Suburban of some sort and the interior is similar.

I drive a 2006 Toyota Camry in Ruby Salsa aka maroon. I love this car. It's perfect for me. I drove a Toyota Celica beforehand that I absolutely adored. Too bad that ditz didn't see where she was going before I slammed into her. Still, the settlement I got from her did set me up with my Camry.
Hubby drives a 2002 Explorer but is looking to upgrade this year. We're still looking to see what catches his eye but he's always driven Explorers. Maybe he'll try something new this time.

Cardinal026 04-11-2007 01:18 PM

I have a 2006 Hyundai Tucson and I LOVE it. I was a diehard Toyota fan, but really have had great luck w/ the Tucson, that it might be my next car, also.
