I've seen like 2 episodes of this show, one being the last one aired, and I have to say that I don't think Gary is funny at all. He hasn't been funny either time I've watched it. Maybe he's funny all the times that I don't watch it or something, because I can't understand why he's still there. And Jay... OMG so NOT funny. Funny LOOKING, yes... but funny? Hell no.

Did anyone else see the advertisements for LCS 3? It's set to start right after the Olympics! :D

I didn't see ads for LC3, but I did see commericals for a Season 1 Comics vs. Season 2 Comics special.

I was surprised at Alonzo's set tonight. I didn't laugh once; I barely cracked a smile.
Gary's set was alright...another cookie joke, but I thought he had a strong finish.
John was definitely my fav tonight, but he's been my pick since the beginning.

See, in the ads I saw, Season 3 IS Season 1 comics vs Season 2 comics...should be rather interesting (I never saw Season 1, so I'd be rooting for the Season 2 comics off the bat, anyways! :D)

Well, what did everyone think? It's a toss up for me between Gary and John. Alonzo was humorous, but it was the same thing the whole time, but I lol'd at Gary and John had me rolling. But still, I didn't think John was as funny as he had been. And Gary is sooo cute! Does anyone else find John less attractive now that we know he's married? Did he really get married a week ago?

I thought they were all good, but I voted for Gary. I've liked him from the beginning, partly because instead of always focusing on standard comic fare (relationships, etc., which of course can be very funny), he picks up on little, common things in life and makes them funny. I won't see one of those "Your Speed" signs on the roadside without laughing from now on.

I didn't think Alonzo was that good. Gary had me laugh a few times, and I got a couple good laughs from John. I also thought he's been way better other times. Though, John is a home-town boy who perfomed at my Senior all night party 11 years ago, so I'm partial! :p

I voted for him on my cell and my home number. However! Scandal time! I tried to vote on my fiance's phone (totally different account and carrier for that matter!) and it said I had reached my vote total from that phone - on the pfirst call!! :mad: He didn't even know about the show and had been at a Mets game so there was obviously a screw up!!! That better not cost someone the game...

I voted for Gary. But I think John might win.

I voted online for John. Not only do I think he is the best comic of the three, but I think he has the best marketability...he would be a great main character on a sitcom. Also, I heard on my radio station this morning that John works with/knows a lot of Ray Romano's people, and I'm sure NBC would love to get a show like "Everybody Loves Raymond" for their network.

Either Alonzo or John might win. that's my gut feeling.

Last night I laughed more at Gary's jokes than John's or Alonzo's, but I voted on last night's performance and previous performances. I really couldn't choose between Gary and John, so I used two different e-mail addresses and voted three times for each of them :) (Gotta love loopholes :D...I thought they were monitoring based on IP addresses or something else)

Alonzo has never really impressed me. I think there was one time that I thought he was great, but the rest of the time he was only "meh"

I agree with what MysticCat said about Gary picking up on the little things and making them funny. I think it's that type of "sarcastic" wit that makes me laugh the most :)

maybe it was just me, but I wasn't feeling Gary's Jokes last night. We'll find out Thursday night.

I was glad that Alonzo didn't win....I didn't think he was funny Tuesday night, NOR tonight (which made me surprised that both the winner and runner-up from season 1 said that they voted for him). Gary (I thought) was funny Tuesday, but I think it's all a matter of personal preference....I like Gary's humor, so I thought he was great....whereas sigtau305 disagrees with me :cool: .

The previews for the next season looks great....begins August 30th (a Monday night)....woo hoo! :)

I was a little Disappointed that Alonzo didn't win, But I did call it that He and John would be the two finalists.

Props to John for being the LAST COMIC STANDING 2004.

As for Alonzo, We'll be hearing more from him sometime soon.

IMHO, I was shocked that John Heffron won because I thought Alonzo was very insightful and funny (on most nights). I voted for both of them on each call in, so I'm not disappointed with the outcome.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more of both of them. Frankly, John works really well b/c I know he has a marketable look. We might even find him on his own sitcom one day talking about "We Gotta Go" girls. ;)
