Don't quote me on this, because I am still trying to find out exact numbers. But, I believe that Texas A&M took around 27. I'm not sure if that includes snap bidding or not. I also heard that they already have several potentials coming to sisterhood events this week, who are thinking about COBing. :)

polarpi 09-01-2004 04:53 PM

All right, I've added a new category for those chapters who are either a deferred recruitment school or have chosen to participate in COR throughout this semester, so if any of you know other schools to add to this list, please let me know! :)

ADPiAkron 09-01-2004 06:53 PM

Why doesn't someone look up the phone numbers for the schools we do not know-- and call the school's greek office and say something like "I wrote a rec for a girl who attends school there and I was just wondering what quota was and how many ADPi took?" Just a silllllly idea! If anyone wants to take it on feel free! If it works let us know!

ETA: Or call and say you are an alum of the school!

adpiucf 09-03-2004 03:06 PM

If you want to get all the recruitment figures for ADPi chapters, go to Pride Online and in the International Officer menu, click on Recruitment. You'll get all the stats as they are reported.

Beta Beta at UT-Chattanooga, for the first time in 4 years, made quota!!!

Today we welcomed 43 wonderful ladies into our sisterhood!

suwhitestl 09-07-2004 04:19 PM

Eta Nu - St. Louis Unviersity reached quota of 49 with a few snap bids and a COR to replace a matched member who changed her mind by the end of bid day (before the Alpha ceremony which is the following day).

Other chapters on campus
Gamma Phi Beta matched 49
Kappa Delta matched 49
Delta Gamma matched 35 and are working on COR to reach quota
Sigma Kappa matched 37 and are working on COR to reach quota

Something tells me that quota was a bit too high! Looking forward to the new NPC rules taking effect!

honeychile 09-07-2004 08:39 PM

Polarpi, an alumna on PO said that Alpha Psi took Quota + 2. It's under Violets....

Gosh, I miss Chloe....

adpijonesy 09-08-2004 01:04 AM

Zeta Epsilon

Bid day was Saturday for Zeta Epsilon, University of West Florida, and they reached quota with 19 beautiful alphas!!!

I went back to visit for the afternoon and the girls had done an awesome job and the alphas are fantastic! Man, it makes an alumna proud!

Sara =)

ADPiAkron 09-11-2004 06:41 PM

No more waiting-- Beta Tau at The University of Akron matched quota and we brought home 11 new wonderful Alphas!! Read my thread in recruitment stories for more info....

smiley21 09-12-2004 08:13 PM

Epsilon Omega (Jacksonville University) did awesome achieving quota with 12 alphas (including me!!!!). i am in heaven!!!

Christy408 09-12-2004 09:19 PM

Sigma (U of IL) took qupta (I can't remember the number though) and Zeta Theta (IL State) took 22 (quota is 22.)

jwright25 09-12-2004 09:30 PM

gamma phi

Gamma Phi at East Tennessee State University celebrated Bid Day today! We have 28 amazing new Alphas - a truly beautiful class. :) We have a double quota system. One for freshmen and sophomores and one for juniors and seniors. F/S quota was 24, which we matched and pledged and J/S quota was 3, which we matched and pledged with one quota addition!! So quota was 27 and we have 28.

It was a long, tiring week - the Recruitment Advisor and I are going on very little sleep right now, but the results are well worth it. We pledged both legacies participating. (Only two this year, way down from last year's twelve!)

Our Province Director told me that Appalachian State's chapter (Zeta Mu) had a very successful recruitment, but I can't remember the details. I'll try and get them again.

ADPiShannan 09-13-2004 01:21 AM

I know if you are interested in knowing how DG chapter did, you could pm Brianna and talk with her about it.

ASUADPi 09-13-2004 09:24 AM

I mean no offense to anyone on this board but I AM NOT going to share the results on the forum. If you would like to know please PM or email me directly. All I will say is that DG did not do so well in formal recruitment and they need our support.

Maybe in the Yahoo groups we can discuss ways of supporting DG, since it seems that every thread that I have started recently about them gets taken down. I will post the results in the Virtual Violets yahoo group.

Mount Union College
Gamma Theta Chapter
Informal Recruitment: September 20th-26th
For Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who receivedat least a 2.5 GPA for the Spring 2004 Semester

honeychile 09-14-2004 11:32 AM

Pitt has bid matching tonight, which means all bid cards need to be signed by 12 noon. Quota is an unbelievably low 10!! Seeing as how they have roughly 39 women graduating, next year is going to be a killer...

ADPiSAI 09-14-2004 07:24 PM

Eta Tau's formal recruitment is September 19-24

HBADPi 09-14-2004 07:25 PM

Zeta Alpha, the chapter I'm advising, made quota today with 40 new alphas. T-minus 2.5 hrs before I get to meet our new Alphas!

polarpi 09-14-2004 10:29 PM

All right, I've made a few updates to the list....congratulations to ALL the chapters that have completed their fall recruitments or are in the process right now, and best wishes for those who are beginning recruitment within this next week!

Now, with me being gone for the next week, I've moved chapters whose recruitment begins during that time up into the "in progress" category. I'm going to *try* to check GC often over the next week, but it all depends on the people I'm staying with and if I can borrow their computer while I'm with them. Otherwise, I'll do a MAJOR update when I get home next Tuesday evening.

Have a great week, everyone! :)

ADPiAkron 09-14-2004 11:32 PM

Beta Tau will be participating in COR throughout the semester to reach house total-- will let you know when that is accomplished!

ADPiShannan 09-15-2004 12:21 AM

Just to add onto Andreas above post, I was at the house today and talked to several exec members. We did do one COR event already and had a nice turn out, about 7 or 8. They feel very strongly that 5 would fit in well. We have one who took a bid from another chapter and decided against it and wants ADPi so she has been coming around this week and will be waiting to go back through formal next fall. We have several events planned, but after 2 more we can extend bid to the people we saw this past Mon. We are well on our way to reaching total.

We also have a girl going through COR who is a cousin to an ADPi exec member in the chapter, so thats awesome.

Andrea- I met some new Alphas today and I met one who said she lives near your parents. She is from Ellet, I forget her name though. Dot and I were chatting with her. So nice and TALL lol. She did tell me her sister is going to Mt. Union and wants to pledge ADPi and I told her you were an advisor there so many you could talk with her and possibly write her sis a req if she does indeed want ADPi there. I dont know if she talked to you about this already or not. :)

honeychile 09-15-2004 11:23 AM

Alpha Iota (Pitt) officially took 9 out of a Quota of 10, but rumor has it that they've taken their 10th now!

Was it LeAnna or Ali? They are both from Ellet-- I coached them in Pee-Wee cheerleading!!!! That is so cool about Mount-- if you see her again give her my email so she can get in contact with me! I will definitely write a rec for her sister!! Gotta love the new Alphas!!

ADPiShannan 09-15-2004 02:06 PM

LeAnna. Thanks, I couldnt remember it was there but I was having a brain freeze.

smiley21 09-15-2004 03:49 PM

Do you know what year she is? If she is a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior and has above a 2.5 GPA-- she can go through this fall!! Let me know if you know!! If not I will check it out!

ADPiShannan 09-15-2004 08:16 PM

LeAnna is a freshman so I assume her sister is a sophmore or above, unless they are twins. She was telling us she wants her sister to try out for BBall there too cause I guess shes really good. Im not totally sure on her sisters rank, maybe we can talk to Danielle Barber who is taking over NMC since Shannon moved with her hubby to Kentucky. She may be able to provide you with LeAnna's e-mail address. :)

ADPiAkron 09-16-2004 12:24 PM

Good idea! I will do that!

honeychile 09-19-2004 11:14 PM

I just heard some INCREDIBLE news!! Alpha Iota has reached Quota AND Total!!

This is a HUGE lesson for those chapters who haven't been as strong as they'd like! Alpha Iota came back five years ago with 12 sisters, and the drive to overcome. It CAN be done!!

WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!

ADPiAkron 09-19-2004 11:19 PM

Congrats Alpha Iota!! What is total Honey? I thought you said in the 60s right??

honeychile 09-20-2004 12:21 AM

Right now, I'm so excited - I think it's 65, but I won't swear to it!! I'll know by tomorrow.

Granted, I'm happy for AI - but I also want other chapters to see that a complete turn-around CAN BE DONE in such a short time! There wasn't a recolonization, or anything like that (although the last few years, there was a TCC during or just prior to Recruitment) - it has to start with a change in Attitude, and a belief that it can be done!

Now, the downside is that they will graduate a TON of sisters this year - so next fall's Recruitment will be critical! But if they can maintain this attitude, they are set!!

lmcsuc 09-20-2004 02:45 PM

CSU Chico, Eta Rho
Quota was set at 27...
32 Alphas!!!

smiley21 09-20-2004 02:48 PM

my chapter picked up one more new member through COB, so now we have a new member class of 13!!!:D

we have another COB event on thurs. we can still take three more people.

PiLove 09-22-2004 09:58 PM

CSU, Sacramento has 5 new alphas. Thanks for all the help at recruitment nauadpi !!

That is really ironic... cause that is how many we were guessing after pref night... That is really really funny... I am so happy for them...

HBADPi 09-27-2004 08:10 PM

Just heard last night that Eta Beta has 5 new alphas. This was the first year that Panhel did not sponsor Fall COR so numbers were a little lower this year and no house took more than 8 new members. We're hoping to get more girls throughout the semester!

ADPiAkron 09-27-2004 09:10 PM

Beta Tau has added 6 more Alpha's through COR!! We are 5 from house total and I know the women of BT can do it!

ADPiSAI 09-28-2004 06:02 AM

Eta Tau picked up 6 new Alphas!!

ASUADPi 09-28-2004 09:13 AM

Well I met the Gamma Rho new alphas last night and I'm pleased to report that they got around 40. (The AA president was unsure of their number and I lost count when they were introducing themselves).

I do know that they are not at total (so they didn't meet quota) and they are participating in COR.

On the Delta Gamma front, they didn't do so hot in FR (if you want the number please PM me, I just don't want to post it on the board. Hope y'all understand). But I heard from a sister in the chapter, former Province Director and District 6 Team Director that the girls are doing this "new" form of recruitment called "boot camp" (I believe it might be a new ADPi thing) and they seem to be doing really well. The chapter is much stronger when it comes to COR than FR. So good luck to DG!!!!!!!

WLFEO 09-28-2004 09:43 AM
