We had a chapter at Toronto many years ago and it folded.
As for starting a chapter let me refer you to this link: http://www.kappaalphatheta.org/learn...hetaHeaderLink |
I don't know when it was disestablished, but Theta has always had such a strong presence in Ohio colleges. I would love to see it back at Ohio University, for purely selfish reasons (my sister will be going there in the fall, and wants to rush). :)

The thread I started about all of our chapters we have/have had will give you the disestablishment dates in addition to the founding dates. |
Bumping because we are colonizing/recolonizing a few chapters:
Boston University, Fall 2012 Wake Forest, Spring 2013 (Zeta Omicron Chapter reestablishment) North Carolina State, Fall 2013 Virginia Tech, Spring 2014 (Epsilon Nu Chapter reestablishment) UNC-Charlotte, Fall 2017 |

Ball State and Kappa Alpha Theta should begin considering recolonization of the Delta Sigma chapter. I realize I am biased being an alum of this chapter, but one should look at how the climate of Sororities have evolved on this campus. Back in 2008, the year Theta left, quota was set at 14... jump to fall 2014 and quota has risen to 44. Sororities have grown and if quota keeps climbing, BSU should be able to support another Greek chapter. It would be a shame for another GLO to colonize since Theta was once a strong and thriving chapter there. Also, being so close to nationals, we would have fabulous support in this endeavor!

^^^first question: is Ball State open for expansion?
next question: was Theta given the option to be "first on" to return should the campus open up? I am waiting patiently for San Diego State to open up and for Gamma Sigma to be re-established. Am pretty certain that Theta has the option to return there. Have fantastic memories of doing lots of exchanges back in the day between Gamma Rho and Gamma Sigma (we skipped right past Beta Xi and Omicron!). |
