This is kind of long...
Hc let me tell yall a story about this morning....
HC I stay up all nite studing for one of my major finals, and I get up this morning and go to class. HC as I was walking to class I remembered that my teacher(for this exam) never called me back? HC I go to the building but I don't see her car, I go in anyway and we all sit there for about 3 minutes before I go to see my advisor(her boss). So I tell her that Ms. N isn't there and I think she may have thought that our test was tommorrow(it's in our syllabus that it was on Wednesday @ 1pm-regular class pd, but here we have a seprerate exam sched. like most places that are not during the class hour. So she calls her house and why is she there-and sleep! My advsior explains the situation to her, and she said she didn't know that you couldn't just make up your own test date(she's new and from another country, but she just graduated from grad school in G'boro). So we had to come up with another time to take it, even though there is a set time for our other classes, we are going to do it later today. HC I'm mad? HC all that work? HC and a portfolio? HC I stayed up till 5:30 and woke up @8? HC more time for me to finsh my English paper that's due @1pm? HC I HATE FINALS:mad: ! HC I thank God for allowing me to be here/ HC I'm determined to have between a 3.5-4.0 this semester? HC I might get something special in my stocking? HC I can't wait to go home on Thursday? This morning I spent alot of time like, tryna like, pick out my outfit cause I'm like, really into clothes. Imma be the best dressed rapper in the game. I'm so self concious, that's why you always see me wit atleast one of my watches, Rolies and P'aches done drove me crazy, I can't even pronounce nothing, pass that Ver-Say-See! Then I spent 400 bucks on this, just to be like "Nigguh, you ain't up on this!". I can't even go to the grocery store, without some shoes that's clean and a shirt, with a team. It seems, we living the American Dream. But the people highest up, got the lowest self-esteem, the prettiest people, do the ugliest things. For the road to riches and diamond rings. // We shine because they hate us, floss 'cause they degrade us, we tryna buy back our 40 acres. And for that paper, look how low we'll stoop, even when I'm in my Benz, I'm still a nigguh, in a coupe. // I promise, she's so self concious, she has no idea what she's doin in college. That major that she majored in don't make no money, told me she majored in TV. But she won't drop out, her parents'll look at her funny. // Now, tell me that ain't insecuure, the concept of school seems so secuure, softmore, 3 years, ain't picked a caruur. She said, fuck it, I'll just stay down hure and, do huir, cause that's enough money to buy her a few pairs of new airs, cause her baby daddy don't really care. // She's so precious, with the peer pressure, couldn't afford a car, so she named her daughter Alexus. She had hair so long, that it looked like weave, and she cut it all off, now she look like Eve. And she be dealin' with some issues that you can't believe, single black female, addicted to retail. // I said, "Fuck the po-lice!", that's how I treat 'em, we bought our way out of jail, but we can't buy freedom, see we buy alot of clothes, but we don't really need 'em. Things we buy to cover up what's inside, cause they made us hate ourself, and love their wealth, that's why, shorty's holla, "where the ballas at?!", drug dealer, buy jordan, crack, here buy crack.. And the white man get paid off of all of that. |
