 4-1-1 ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 17TH, 2003
	There was a wild internet rumor going around that Vivica A. Fox was stalking her ex Boyfriend Rapper 50 Cent. The reports claim she drove her Range Rover and crashed it on his property in Connecticut. This is not true. Vivica is working in California and she has not seen the Rapper since they broke up. Gerald Levert's love life has taken another twist. According to Celebrity Journalist Jawn Murray, Gerald is now dating the Actress/Comedian Kym Whitley. Kym used to star on the BET Show 'Oh Drama' and she just finished work on the Vivica A. Fox movie 'Beauty Shop'. Jamie Foster Brown of Sister to Sister Magazine says she talked to Gerald and he told her he was seeing Monique. Has Gerald moved on already? Gerald is definitely not seeing Singer/Songwriter Kandi Buress from Xscape. They broke up a while ago. I had a chance to catch up with Gerald's brother Sean while he was in town and he just smiled and said no comment. Kym has gone on record claiming Gerald gives the best foot massages. Kym was engaged to a director but that romance has ended now that she is with Gerald. I wonder who the popular Singer will be dating next week. Tamia's Lp won't see the light of day until March 2nd. The Album has been pushed back again and it will have a new title called 'More'. Tamia teams up with Gerald Levert on his new LP 'Stroke of Genius'. Tamia and Gerald team up to do the Carpenters classic song 'Close to You'. DL Hughley is in talks with CBS about hosting a Comedy Game Show called Liars. (Afrochic's sidenote: Am I the only person in the world who finds DL unfunny and annoying?) Poet/Singer Gil Scott Herron is back in jail. Herron is best known for his hits 'The Bottle' and 'The revolution will not be televised'. He is jail on a drug charge apparently he can't make the ten thousand dollar bail to get out of jail. Just in time for the holidays it's Ashanti with a Holiday LP. Ashanti sings a lot of classics including 'Winter Wonderland', 'Joy to the World', 'Silent Night' and 'We Wish you a Merry Christmas'. (Afrochic's sidenote: She's just the person I need to hear at Christmas :rolleyes: ) Martin Lawrence's girlfriend was hoping to get a wedding ring for her birthday but instead she got a Bentley. Martin's lady is the mother of two of his kids and she was hoping they would make it legal but after his failed first marriage to a former Beauty Queen. But Martin doesn't want to get married again. Meanwhile wedding rumors are surfacing around Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri. Will the two tie the knot over holidays? (Afrochic's sidenote: If they aren't the dumbest looking couple then I don't know who is...Troll Kid and Complex Queen) Now that Bobby Brown is off of house arrest we should expect to see him soon. Hopefully he will stay out of trouble this time! Meanwhile his Wife Whitney Houston has a new Holiday LP in stores called 'One Wish' and one of the cuts on the LP is a duet she does with her daughter 'The Little Drummer Boy'. I have been getting a ton of emails regarding her current state and if she is pregnant. At this time I don't think she is, I think she was but something happened. We will just have to wait and see. |

 2) I never knew he was in jail before. Am I the only one who's late? :confused: 3) LMAO @ Afrochic's sidenote!! :D 4) SHE WAS BUT SOMETHING HAPPENED?? WTF? How you just gon' say somethin' like that? And say "you THINK?" Something happened... what happened??? I mean, if you gon' tell it, TELL IT! :mad: |

 Yall know I got luv for ya but yall might be smokin' somethin' with this DL thing. He's not the funniest on tv (true enough) but live/on stage, he's crazy. I saw him in Cleveland about 6,7 years ago and this sistah who was in the 2nd row and got there late (people, never sit up close and GET THERE LATE for a black comic). DL just crushed her all night; every 3rd joke she became the punch line. Ole girl didn't have sense enough to just be quiet, she actually tried to fire back on a professional comic... and got clowned all night. I put DL right behind Cedric on my best comic list. Needless to say, I was a big fan of the "Kangs of Comedy Tour..." |

 PRINCE FANS!!!

		The following artists will be inducted at the Nineteenth Annual
	Induction Ceremony, which will be held Monday, March 15th in New York at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel: Jackson Browne -- For more than three decades, Jackson Browne has been one of rock's consummate singer-songwriters. Writing intricately crafted, deeply personal songs, he made his mark as a master chronicler of the affairs of the heart. The Dells -- The Dells began recording in 1953 and still perform today with virtually all original members. They have performed and charted in every decade since the Fifties, making them one of the most influential vocal groups of all time. George Harrison -- Post-Beatles, George Harrison's career spanned three decades during which he not only furthered his artistry as a musician, songwriter, and producer (of music and numerous films), but as a humanitarian on the world stage. Prince – Self-produced since his debut at age 20, Prince is one of the most unpredictable as well as one of the most magnificently charismatic figures in the entire pop landscape. His fusion of rock, funk, soul, metal and punk has defied all stereotypes. Bob Seger – Detroit's standard-bearer of rock and soul began his multi-platinum streak in 1975, followed by a decade of nearly 20 consecutive top 40 singles, all of which celebrated Bob Seger's allegiance to and love affair with the music that provided his escape from an impoverished childhood. Traffic -- Nurtured in the communal flush of the British Invasion, Traffic outgrew its psychedelic pop roots to become a true fusion group – melding a folk- inspired simplicity with bluesy jazz improv that was given plenty of space on its extended compositions. ZZ Top -- With the Texas soul, outlaw boogie, and souped-up hot rod funk served up by the durable power trio of Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard – ZZ Top – is literally the last word in rock. Three- plus decades on, these Funky Kings might just go on forever. In commenting on this year's inductees, Evans said, "These inductees represent many influential genres of rock and roll, including pop, funk, soul, boogie and psychedelia. We expect this year's show to be unique and exciting with highly anticipated moments." Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. Criteria considered includes the influence and significance of the artist's contribution to the development and perpetuation of rock and roll. The Foundation's nominating committee, composed of rock and roll historians, selects nominees each year in the "artist" category. Ballots are then sent to an international voting body of about 700 rock experts. The honoree in the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Non-Performer Category will be announced shortly. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was formed in 1983 and the first induction ceremony was held in 1986. All inductees are represented in the "Hall of Fame", a permanent exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum, in Cleveland Ohio. |

		Benzino is from the Boston area, but he isn't that well known as a rapper there either, as for out of studio antics of Made men... i believe one of them is on probation now there for shoplifting charges. :rolleyes:

 I saw the lyrics to the song posted and they WERE disturbing. I dont think Eminem should get off without any flack, but I hate that Benzino brought this out because it is so CLEARLY about jealousy and not about any real concern for the community.

 MTV House searched by the police

		MTV SEARCH WARRANT
	November 25, 2003 ET has confirmed that San Diego police have executed a search warrant at MTV's "Real World" house. According to a source, a complaint was filed by a woman on Nov. 14 that claimed she was date raped by an acquaintance of one of the cast members she met at a club. She further claims to have been drugged, taken to the house, raped and then left in the bathroom naked, according to the source. ET is told authorities, including a forensics team, searched the house on Nov. 18. "Real World" houses are rigged to cover nearly every corner on film and ET's source says the warrant included tapes that correlated with the alleged crime. Bunim Murray, the company that produces the show, have released a statement saying, "The producers and the cast of 'The Real World' are cooperating fully with local authorities investigating an alleged incident that occurred at The Real World house. None of the cast or crewmembers had any involvement in this incident." Source: http://www.etonline.com/newslink/index.html#l1 |

 4-1-1 ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 24TH, 2003
	Singer Chico Debarge won't have to worry about the guy who stabbed him when he was in Philly. Alleged mob associate John Casasanto A.K.A. "Johnny Gongs" was fatally shot at his South Philadelphia home. Casasanto, 35, was out on bail awaiting a hearing on the assault charges against Chico. In October, Chico was in town performing in the play "Why Did I Get Married?" and he was allegedly stabbed by Casasanto outside a club on Delaware Avenue. Chico survived the stabbing and continued with the play. Chico is due back at the first of the year when the play returns. I had a chance to talk with actress/comedian Kym Whitley. Last week I talked about published reports that linked Kym with Gerald Levert and not Monique. Well Kym was hesitant to talk about it, but she admitted they are close friends. Kym also revealed how her life has been threatened ever since she was fingered as the woman in Gerald's life. Kym says Gerald has had to hire security for her. Kym is best known for the BET show, Oh Drama and the Friday movies. Kym recently finished work on a Beauty Shop movie with Vivica A. Fox, and in January she will team up with Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston in the movie Something About Polly. So where's Monique? I hope to talk to her sometime around the holidays. What does she have to say? Bow Wow is getting his own TV show. The popular rapper will be starring in a show on the WB network called Saving Jason. In Saving Jason, Bow Wow will play a gifted music student who is a fish out of water at an elite private school. A memorial service is being planned to honor actor/dancer Gene Anthony Ray. ------------------------- R&B star Mary J. Blige will marry fiancé Kendu Isaacs on Friday. The "Love @ 1st Sight" singer, 32 - who credits 35-year-old Isaacs with helping her win her battles with alcohol and drugs - has announced the pair will wed at a secret location the day after Thanksgiving. Although she hasn't released details of where the ceremony will take place, Blige recently said she'd like it to take place in a coastal setting, explaining, "I see it on a beach, nothing fancy, about 40 people. I'll dress in white chiffon or something, but I don't see myself wearing a tiara - that's just too much! "All I want is to be surrounded by people who want the best for me because I'm in love. I'm in love with this person's mind and faith in me. He's with me everywhere, like my guardian angel." British singer and composer Sir Elton John is among those expected to attend the ceremony. ------------------- R&B sensation Ashanti has upset animal rights group People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) by wearing a mink coat in her new Christmas medley video. The singer will be seen in a wintry snowscape in the video to promote her new album of festive songs - but PETA chiefs feel she went too far wearing the $15,000 Nija Furs coat on a day when the weather outside was far from frightful. Even Ashanti admitted the look was a bit much on the set of the shoot in Los Angeles. She said, "It's a thousand degrees out, but in here it's a winter wonderland." PETA spokesman Michael McGraw feels the singer should have turned down the chance to don a mink coat for the video. He says, "It's so easy these days to have a look that kills without killing anything. Ashanti should know better. "What's cheery about gassing, poisoning and anal electrocution? All are common methods of killing animals for their fur. From animals' backs to Ashanti's, there's a tremendous amount of suffering involved in the fur trade." PETA bosses are now planning to send Ashanti a very special early Christmas gift - an undercover video, narrated by Pamela Anderson, that details the cruelty behind fur. McGraw adds, "We hope it will warm her heart and she'll choose to give fur the cold shoulder." |

 WANTED:  DJ QUIK

		If I were Ashanti, I would tell PETA to BEAT IT!!
	~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rapper, Producer DJ Quik Wanted by Cops Fri Nov 28, 7:23 AM ET Add Entertainment - AP to My Yahoo! By The Associated Press FONTANA, Calif. - Rapper and producer DJ Quik is wanted by San Bernardino County authorities for allegedly storming into his sister's home and repeatedly punching her in the face. A $50,000 arrest warrant was issued this week after county prosecutors charged Quik, whose given name is David Martin Blake, with burglary and assault. The alleged attack happened Nov. 2 at the home of his 42-year-old sister, said Fontana police spokeswoman Dawn Rowe. Court records show Blake, 33, entered the home with at least two other men while his sister was asleep. The woman told police Blake made comments about family problems before punching her in the face. She told officers she broke free and ran. One of her two children told investigators that Blake brandished a gun and searched for the woman around the house before he left with the other men. Blake released his first album, "Quik is the Name," in 1991 and became known for his dirty lyrics that examine gangster life in his Compton hometown. He has also produced songs for rappers such as Kurupt and Xzibit.  |
 Another Beyonce Solo LP Due Before Destiny's Child Regroup
		SANTA MONICA, California — Dangerously in Love 2 is already taken — it's a song on Dangerously in Love — so something like Still Dangerous might have to do.
	You see, Beyoncé hopes to release a sequel of sorts to her debut solo album in March. "I recorded about 45 songs for Dangerously in Love," the singer said at the recent Vibe Awards. "I love so many songs, and they are just kind of going to waste sitting there." Beyoncé included one of the songs, a collaboration she recorded with P. Diddy (and later Ghostface Killah) called "Summertime," on "The Fighting Temptations" soundtrack and found fans and radio programmers eager for more. The album is still in the planning stages, but one of the producers from Beyoncé's first album is sure one of his leftover tracks will be included, possibly even as a single. "It's called 'Scent of You' and it's a ballad, but it's a rock ballad, a little leaning on metal," said Bryce Wilson, who has also worked with Toni Braxton. "It's definitely something that nobody's ever heard from her." In the meantime, Beyoncé is still promoting her first album. She shot a video last week for "Me, Myself and I," the follow-up to the hit "Baby Boy." "The song is really powerful," she said. "It talks about women basically listening to their inner voice and knowing that they will never disappoint themselves. And basically the video reflects that." Details of the concept are being kept under wraps, but Johan Renck (Kylie Minogue, Chris Cornell) directed. "He's from Europe, and I love his whole approach," Beyoncé said. As for Destiny's Child, the singer said her group plans to reunite in the studio early next year. Plus she hopes to make another movie soon. "There's not anything in stone yet, but I am looking," she said. On Saturday Beyoncé joined Bono onstage at a benefit concerts for AIDS awareness in Africa. —Corey Moss  |
