highlights: hmm, some of it was exactly the same as last year, and i understand why, but it was a little dull for those parts. Randy's financial equation was pretty awesome (basically a way to answer that question "why should i pay for this") of course the NPC session was as helpful as last year - those women really know their stuff and they're so helpful! I guess that's about it, other than i may be helping out the college panhellenic on campus here (since i'm a neutral alum - my org doesn't have a chapter here). I'm just glad I got my sisters to go to it - i think they really enjoyed it, although i didn't talk to them much they seem to really be getting around and talking to everyone. |
Sounds like everyone had a good time and there was lots of interesting and useful information discussed.
I wish I would have attended. I better start saving for next year so I can get myself out to Calgary. |
AGD alumna from Tdot here!
|
As CC1GC mentioned way back i am a TKE from Ottawa, i goto Algonquin College.
I'm just wondering from all you WLU people if you have heard who made the shortlist for the fraternity expansion in fall? I am pretty sure my Intl put an package in. for all the Ottawa greeks (and anybody else who wants to make the trip) i am definetly down with having a meet and greet. |
Whoa! wait a min. here. WLU is/was open for expansion? for fraternities only or sororities too? i am very interested in knowing about this.
does anyone have any updates regarding this? thanks! |

Do you remember what his actual name was? I'm at the end of my 2nd year as an initiated DX, but there may be a chance I know the dude. |
he was prolly b4 your time, Kevin Lorenz. I think he came here in 1999 or 2000. I wasn't really a friend of his or anything, but I hung around the house a lot back in those days :)

However the name is familiar, so I have heard of him... Considering we were colonized in '95, I don't have too many alum to remember. |

As for teaching people to skate - I too held that lovely honour, though only in my capacity as a student ambassador at Carleton University - basically I was the contact person for international and exhange students (in my case Europe); in the 3 years I was there I believe I taught close to 40 people how to skate - of course having the Rideau Canal right there helped  |
knowing that jean poutine isn't our prime minister and that we have provinces (not providences) should confirm the canadian-ness methinks
|
Someone's been watching "Talking To Americans" lol
Anyways, I'm not Canadian, but I live in Canada. I haven't enjoyed my time in Saskatoon thus far, so I am not sure if I am going to stay here to see my plan of expanding Phi Delta Theta to the University of Saskatchewan through...but time will tell. |
I admit, I've only been on skates once - when I was about 8 and I never let go of the side of the rink, so I don't know if I would've been able to stand.
knowing my great lack in balance, I doubt I'd be able to skate successfully. Ah, Canada. how great it is. I've been job hunting in the States so much that my focus hasn't been on our glorious land. And what's with everyone complainign about the cold? :p |
I am a Alpha Phi alum from UWO. Haven't been on the board much. Hi to all the other Canadian Greeks out there.
