The clowns should get their own talk show or something because they are two of the coolest people I've ever seen on tv.

I want Kelly & John to win the whole thing. The goats are okay, but they don't wow me with their personalities or anything -- they're kind of boring.

Reichen and Chip are assholes of the highest order. I'm sorry, but you don't go to a foreign country and get annoyed with people who don't speak English, then yell at them in English, get all pissy when they don't understand, threaten not to pay them and then mutter, "Learn English!" to them. It's that kind of bitchy attitude that makes people in other countries consider Americans to be bossy, obnoxious and self-centered.

yeah, but reichen and chip are more likable and much more deserving than kelly and jon. you cant jump on reichen and chip for getting angry at the people. this is an incredibly stressful situation. one cant help but be frustrated. kelly and the other hand jumps on jon and insults him from time to time. its a wonder they made it this far.

I can totally understand how one might find Kelly & John annoying, but I think they're funny. I think that her yelling at him and then him telling her to fuck off is just their way of relating to each other. It's not my idea of a great relationship, but I actually think that they are happy together and that's just how they related.

I've disliked Reichen and Chip from the beginning. They're much too calculating and snotty. I also don't think that being in a stressful situation is ever an excuse for rude, obnoxious behavior to strangers.

Anyway, I miss the clowns already... ;)

Aw, no more clowns! And did anyone else get mad at Chip (or was it Dale?) who made a major issue of saying to Jon that he let a gay guy beat him, but when Jon said to Kelly "don't let that gay guy beat you!" he had a major hissy fit? WhatEVER, Princess Leia. Get eliminated already.

I'll admit, I liked Reichen and Chip at the beginning, but after how dumb they were being during last night's episode, I was praying that the clowns would come in before the penalty was over. (Side note: on the Early Show this morning, Jon and Al said that they arrived 30 minutes AFTER the end of the penalty) I think I'm rooting for Kelly and Jon to win the entire thing...I haven't liked David and Jeff, and Reichen and Chip are just DUMB!!! Do you think it'll be a two hour finale next week, or do we have two weeks left to go on the race?

The only reason Chip was making a big deal about the gay thing was because Jon started it. In their interview, beforehand they were saying how Jon was annoyed about being one-upped by a couple of gay guys and how he kept making remarks about them. I don't think Reichen was acting like a Princess, he was just finally fed up with Jon--who is a major tool by the way. I think he and Kelly are alot more mean spirited towards the other teams and eachother. So, I don't want them to win--I'd rather have the Jeff & David come in first (that is if C & R can't win it). But I do agree with you, valkyrie, that Chip shouldn't have gone off on the cab driver. That was uncalled for.

I see your point Geoff, but honestly, I don't care who started it. It's a double standard to sit there and crow about being beaten by a gay guy and then to turn around and have a kitten because a straight person said the same thing.

Admittedly, I detest Chip and Dale. ;)

I'm so sad I'm just finding out about this thread I never come in to chit chat. The Amazing Race has been my favorite reality show since it came on and yes it's way better than survivor.

Hee! So did I! After the clowns were eliminated, I really don't have anyone to root for anymore!

I HATE Chip and Reichen -- they should have been eliminated this week instead if the clowns, whom I adore! Chip and Reichen think they are better than anyone else & deserving of special privileges...plus they cheat -- they drove when they were supposed to walk last week and they did some other wrong thing in a previous episode. If they don't do these things on purpose (e.g. cheat) then they are just plain stupid.
Another post on this thread said earlier they did not care to see "12-year virgins" any time their names came on the screen-- well I don't care to see "Married" everytime Chip and Riechen's names are on the screen -- EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! My 11 year old son asked what that meant the first time he saw it: "Mom, why does it say those two guys are married?" As PC as GC is (most of the time), I will not tell you what my response was....anyways, my sons and Iwatch the show together -- it is on during prime time y'know! Plus, they like seeing scenes and saying Mom, you and Miss Laura could do better than that!! You see, my girlfriend and I (an AChiO) sent in a video to try out for the show, but we are not married (to each other) or virgins (for 12 years) or (ugly) models, so I guess we were not sensational enough. We are still trying to devise a more appealing try-out video though for the next go-round....

Anyways, I want Kelly & Jon (their bickering gets to me too but it is not nearly as bad as last season's winner Flo -- she was a true Bee-yatch!) to win but would not mind if David & Jeff won...

well they have to show how the two contestants are related. millie and chuck arent together just because they are virgins. it is because they are dating. to say they are virgins is something like a character traits or something. it is who they are. if the network was going that they are virgins, they why not show at what age the other contesants lost their virginity?

one can only hope that cheaters do not win...

Okay, this is the revelation I came to while watching tonight's episode....I can't decide who I want to win because I DESPISE all three teams! Each one of the teams was pissing me off tonight, and my mom was laughing at me yelling at the TV the entire time. Glad that this season is coming to an end, and I think I might need to start talking to my best friend about possibly applying for a future season of the race.... :)

I don't like any of the remaining teams either. I miss the clowns greatly! I guess I'll pull for David and Jeff since Jon and Kelly drive me crazy with their bickering and Chip and Riechen's snottiness annoys the heck out of me!

Yeah, I agree, everyone has to have a relationship identifier (sp?). They just happen to be 2 married men. Big deal. Anyways, I'm still rooting for C & R. They may be a-holes but who cares. I'll be happy, too, if Jeff and David win. But Kelly and Jon must lose. God, how I HATE them. Could she be more annoying? Every time she opens her BIG mouth another cheesy comment falls out. Shut up already and just read the map!! And was it wrong of me to be happy when Jon's buggy flipped over? Why couldn't it have been an an elimination round? Oh well.

I think they're probably told the number of non-elimination rounds before the race begins, and since they knew that there were three and that the finals always come down to the top three teams, they knew it didn't matter that they came in last.

I watched the show for the first time last night... I wanted to see if I could ever do it... now that I've seen it there's no way I'd be able to do it! Jon and Kelly pissed me off, I was cheering after every mistake they made... they are so snooty and annoying. I hope they lose. Chip and Riechen need to run faster! David and Jeff seem to be unstoppable.

did anyone know that this thursday is the season finale?! i just found that out tonight. i dont believe it! i dont think i will make it through the whole episode!!!:eek:

I was so glad Chip and Reichen won. I think they deserved it. Kelly and John just kept pissing me off, their attitudes towards each other and everyone else just sucked.

i was very happy to see reichen and chip win. i was rooting for them mainly cause i felt bad for them. my sister was like 'eww i dont want the gay guys to win'. that really pissed me off. I think that they are a great couple. just because you might not like how they live doesnt mean they deserve the prize any less. they worked so hard and i am proud of them.

I was really glad when Kelly and Jon didn't win. Normally I'm always rooting for the woman, especially when she's the only one, but they had the race in their hands so many times (like the camera debacle). They just got too lazy 'cause they thought they were going to win. Plus, she was so mean to him! :eek:

I was surprised by how it wasn't a three team race for the last leg. David and Jeff were so confident that they were going to win it was weird to see them getting the clue saying that Chip and Reichen had won all the way back at the Volcano park. I know that they had problems with their flight, but I didn't expect it to be so much of a problem that they disappeared for the last half of the episode.

If Kelly and Jon had won instead of Chip and Reichen, I wouldn't have minded, but I didn't mind C&R winning, either. It came down to a real sprint at the end which shows that both teams had the opportunity to win...C&R got the edge with the plane seats and that's all they really needed.


So....when's the next race premiere??? :D ;)

Yeah!! Chip and Reichen won!! They totally deserved that prize. And it was cool to see the other teams cheering them on at the end. I'm so glad I got sucked into this show :D

Just so you know, Geoff, each race ends with the other eliminatied teams cheering on the remaining teams. :)

Yeah, I figured as much. I couldn't believe that even Chuck and Millie would actually want Chip and Reichen to win. Oh well, C & R were the winners, so I'm cool.

After the clowns got eliminated (*sniff!* :( ), my husband wanted the goats to win. It was kind of funny with them asking "are we the first to get here?" at the lava field. But it's just like the first season with Team Guido-- they were in Alaska when they opened the clue saying that the other teams had made it back to (Brooklyn?) and that the best friends/lawyers had won it.

Next to the first one, this one was excellent. MUCH better than last season, with Flo winning the whole thing, and MUCH better than second season, with Tara and Will (and his ugly hat).

I think my fave-ever teams have been the clowns and the air traffic controllers from this season, and Cha-Cha-Cha (the florida gay guys) from season two or three. Unlike Team Guido and Chip & Dale, I would have *loved* to see Cha-Cha-Cha take it all, because they were hilarious, caring, smart, sassy, and really well traveled. :)

I just watched the tape, I actually cried when Chip got out of the taxi (I thought Jon was going to come out because I saw a guy with a cap on through the taxi's window)... and then when they played that triumphant music, yeah I cried. This is only the 2nd episode I've ever watched of The Amazing Race, and I loved it. I'm really happy Chip and Reichen won!

I thought the EXACT same thing! I would have been happy either way, because Kelly and Jon ran a great race, but it was nice seeing Chip and Reichen win.

Talking about fave-ever teams, I only caught the finale of the first season (but that's what hooked me to watch ever since). Second season, I loved Chris and Alex, Blake and Paige, and Team Cha Cha (Danny and Oswald). Third season faves were Ken & Gerard, Derek & Drew, John Vito & Jill, and Gina & Sylvia (the soccer moms). This season, I liked Reichen & Chip (except when they were dumb:p ), Kelly & Jon, Jon & Al, and Debra & Steve. I want the next race to begin next month, but I know it won't be until January at the earliest...probably not until next summer!:eek:

Who were the two frat boys with the shaved heads? I *loved* those two guys! And thanks for reminding me of Danny & Oswald's real names. And yes, Ken & Gerard were hilarious.

i hear tell they might not renew it for another year. that would be a pity.
