Glitter because I like sparkly things, I kwow that sounds sooo childish.. but I love things with rhinestones or sequins or glitter and I LOVE stars... so I chose that.. 650 because it was my area code where I grew up. I thought about changing my name to something "Phi Sig" but it was easier to use the name I use for everything when I registered.

Hmm... about as long as Desiderio Alberto Arnaz y de Acha (Desi Arnaz's full name; Desi Jr's name in the Spanish form would have been Desiderio Alberto Arnaz y de Acha Ball (adding the mother's maiden name). :)

I chose mine because I was rushing at the time I started posting, so nothing with letters, and I love penguins. My boyfriend used to call me "Geeker" all the time, but I like geeky better, so we had GeekyPenguin.

It also works because I'm a Gamma Phi (GPB), so there's the GP in my name to remind you of my sorority! :)

My chapter used to end active meetings with the Sisterhood book that would be passed from sister to sister and one would write something personal about that person. Well we also had a stuffed owl named HOOTIE. Hootie was also passed from sister to sister but was more for silly reasons or when someone was having a stressful time.

A funny story about Hootie (that I posted in the original thread like this) was that one time a sister took him home with her for the week (like you did when he was passed along). Well she said he was looking rather shabby and thought he needed a bath. So she threw him in the wash machine and dryer. The next time we met for active meeting she stood up to announce who she was going to pass him onto and almost busted up laughing...she took HOOTIE out of a sack and he had a FRO from being tumbled dry! So Hootie was a very special part of my chapter...fro and all! :D

the way i came up with that - i needed an email name, so i was thinking...my dad has this little stuffed moose on his monitor (he's a member of the lodge) so I thought that was cute, added girl to make sure noone would mistake me for Moose from, say, the Archie comics (or whatever....) and added red for my hair colour...

when I signed in here, thought it was too long so cut out the "red".....for whatever reason i didn't want to use my letters...

Mine would also fall into the obvious category. I'm a Theta and pledged in '97. ThetaGirl came from a t-shirt we did one year for Greek Week. There was this thing going around campus at the time started by another sorority - a nasty lil song about us to the tune of "Barbie Girl." Anyhow, we used it to our advantage and made up shirts that said "I'm a Theta Girl" in pink Barbie-type lettering across the front and then a saying across the back.
