IDENTITY! Yay!

After tonight I will start a thread where people who have seen it can discuss, and have spoliers and stuff. So people who aren't seeing it tonight, beware of the new thread! :D

I'm going to see Identity opening night (tonight, FRI). I've been looking forward to seeing this for a while. I love thrillers, and everything I read about this has been really positive, saying the movie has a lot of twists, and keeps you guessing til the end.

(I saw Beckham too, and thought it was better than My Big Fat Piece O Crap-- at least there was sports in it)

SSS1365 04-26-2003 09:22 AM

I saw "The Recruit" last night. I really liked it, even though I didn't even know what it was going to be about. It was my first Colin Farrell experience, and I thought he did a really good job.

MoxieGrrl 04-26-2003 12:59 PM

Whoohoo! I saw two movie this weekend a la Blockbuster. Drumline, which I thought was good. It had that "MTV movie" feel to it, which gave a touch o' cheesiness. Also, The Legend of Ron Jeremy. Bwahahahahahaha...!!! It was a documentary of his life and career. Who would have thought that he was dying to go legit?

(There were also scenes where he was becoming an honorary TKE. Hehehehe...they made him a paddle too. "Hey guys, I can't go out tonight. I have to finish Ron Jeremy's paddle!" LOL)

okay is anyone else being bombarded with these borderline porno pop up ads for The Real World Cancun?

I was being flashed by cleavage and a barely covered ass at www.theonion.com the other day promoting "The Real Cancun." If I wanted to see that I'd buy a Maxim or turn on MTV.

However, my friend is forcing me to see Malibu's Most Wanted today even though I wanted to see "The Quiet American" with tasty Brendan Frasier. This is the same friend that wouldn't see "The Pianist" with me as she said "it was too depressing" yet she is a History major. We all know history is a highly uplifting subject ha.

ZTAngel 04-27-2003 01:30 AM

I just came back from Anger Management. It was ok. It looked like it would be funnier from the trailers. Definitely not as good as Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore.

Jaggergirl 04-28-2003 11:11 AM

hey ya'll, I saw Identity this weekend and it is AWESOME! Totally scary, a little gory, and absolutely surprising. I thought I figured the ending out at least 3 times and each time I was wrong. Even at the end I was wrong! It was so good. My poor boyfriend - I think I left bruises on his arm from squeezing too hard!

AOX81 04-28-2003 01:17 PM

I didn't see any new movies this weekend but I watched Adventures in Babysitting at 2 in the morning, lol. :)

APhiAngel 04-29-2003 03:39 PM

I saw Identity on Sun. and Anger Managment last weekend. Identity was HELLUV good!!! I freaked me out! I recomend everyone go and see it. Anger Managment was really funny too. I love all of Adam Sandlers movies, but whenever I see Jack Nicholson, I remember him from the Shining and that kind of creeps me out. But he was good in the movie :D

Jaggergirl 04-30-2003 11:24 AM

sing it, sister! Identity is still creeping me out and I saw it on Saturday! Its one of those movies you keep talking about later on, trying to figure out what really happened.

LeslieAGD 04-30-2003 11:26 AM

I just rented Two Weeks Notice. I don't know why this movie didn't do better at the box office, because I thought it was great! Very funny...classic Sandra Bullock.

LeslieAGD 05-04-2003 10:41 PM

I just saw the movie Knock Around Guys with Seth Green, Vin Diesel, and John Malcavich. It was pretty decent, but I felt the end left something to be desired.

mu_agd 05-04-2003 10:43 PM

i rented two weeks notice and real women have curves.. i liked them both...

KillarneyRose 05-04-2003 11:20 PM

Lots of movie action this weekend:

I took the Killarney buds and one of their little friends to see the Lizzie McGuire movie which was adorable.

I rented Traffic last night which was very good but it freaked me out a bit because the actress who played Michael Douglas' daughter looks exactly like my younger sister (who is not, by the way, a crackhead)

tnxbutterfly 05-04-2003 11:23 PM

I saw Lizzie McGuire also. It was pretty cute

docetboy 05-04-2003 11:48 PM

I went to see confidence...not too bad, but not worth the $5.50 student price, and $5.50 for the popcorn and soda

Starlet 05-05-2003 12:01 AM

I saw X-Men2 today, and Identity a few days ago. I never saw the first X-Men and don't even know anything about the story lines and who are the good guys and bad guys, but the previews looked good so I thought that maybe I'd like it. I thought the special effects were great and it was pretty good, but I think I could have waited until it came on cable to see it. Maybe I would have liked it better if I had some previous knowledge about the story line before I saw the second installment.

Identity was an interesting movie and well done. It was pretty freaky, and definitely left me guessing throughout the film. I had to turn my head at some points in anticipation of seeing something that would make my stomach churn.

juniorgrrl 05-05-2003 12:59 AM

I saw Lizzie McGuire - it was adorable!

When I grow up, I wanna look just like Hilary Duff :)

White_Chocolate 05-05-2003 09:13 AM

so, is the XMEN 2 good?

what about lizzie mcguire? i'm going to go and see it but without boyfriend.

DWAlphaGam 05-05-2003 09:34 AM

I rented 4 movies this weekend: Titus (based on Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus), X-Men 1 (I wanted to see it before I saw X-Men 2), 1-Hour Photo, and Insomnia. Titus is a freaking strange portrayal of the play, but the play is pretty strange, too, so I guess it fits. It's been a couple of years since I read Titus Andronicus, so I think I may go back and re-read it now. X-Men was good, but I thought it was surprisingly short. It was nice to let my brain relax after the Shakespeare because I watched those two movies back-to-back. I didn't think 1-Hour Photo lived up to the hype, but it was interesting...and creepy to think of those photo guys looking at all of your pictures. Robin Williams was excellent in the movie; he was very restrained and didn't go too over-the top. Insomnia was pretty good, too. Al Pacino did an awesome job, as did Robin Williams, again. All in all, I enjoyed my movie marathon weekend. :)

LeslieAGD 05-05-2003 11:12 AM

Has anyone seen Moonlight Mile? I'm think of renting it and wanted some feedback.

MoxieGrrl 05-05-2003 02:32 PM

I rented Real Women Have Curves. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! :) I also saw Swimfan, and I'm really glad I didn't have to pay for it. Jesse Bradford's 5 o'clock shadow scared me. And I caught Scooby Doo on HBO. I really liked it. :)

Jaggergirl 05-15-2003 02:10 PM

I didn't know Real Women Have Curves is out on video yet. I'll have to netflix that one for sure.

chideltjen 05-15-2003 02:16 PM

hopefully i will be seeing matrix II on sunday... i know the weekend isn't quite here yet, but it still counts :)

Angelic 05-15-2003 02:33 PM

I saw X-2 last weekend because the boy wanted to see it.
I hadn't seen the first one so I was not looking forward to it.
But it was actually pretty good. I was surprised.

Jadey28 05-15-2003 07:06 PM

I saw Matrix Reloaded today! One word....incredible!!! I can't wait to see the third one and play the video game. :D

LeslieAGD 05-15-2003 07:15 PM

I rented The Emperor's Club starring Kevin Kline...it was very good!

Munchkin03 05-16-2003 12:56 AM

Before going out tonight, I watched Secretary. It was pretty good, the first time I saw it, I didn't really understand it and was fairly disturbed. Watching again made me understand it and now I really like it.

AOX81 05-19-2003 06:22 AM

I finally saw Orange County. It was okay...

DWAlphaGam 05-19-2003 09:23 AM

I finally saw X-2 over the weekend. Holy sh!t, Hugh Jackman is so hotttt...I just can't get over it.

Dude, it was clearly all about Cyclops and Colossus. Both of them are clearly hot. Hugh Jackman, ok yeah, in this movie, but in real life, dude looks like a lady.

Jaggergirl 05-20-2003 01:33 PM

yeah, I never got the Hugh Jackman thing til I saw X-Men.... woo hoo! Love that rugged look. And that man has got some looong legs.

Also caught a trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean this weekend. That movie looks hot. Orlando and Johnny in one movie? I'm there.

LeslieAGD 05-26-2003 04:46 PM

I just saw Bruce Almighty. It was very good.
My favorite part was the newscaster's crazy voice :)

cntryZTA5 05-26-2003 04:50 PM

I saw Bruce Almighty yesterday! It was hilarious....highly recommended! :D

Peaches-n-Cream 05-26-2003 05:21 PM

X Men 2. It was long, but good. :)

mu_agd 05-26-2003 05:25 PM
